This is one of the best looking traxxas vehicles...... Except for the tires!!! Traxxas needs to pursue a officially licensed tire company to complete the bad ass look. I think it's where this model fell shirt. But bad ass none the less, thank you for the great review.
I agree the trail canyons are ginormous. BUTT. the sasquatch package for the real broncos do include huge 35" tires so... it almost looks just right haha and you know people with real broncos will stuff 37s under them like immediately lol
Just bought this today at a local shop. My first every RC anything. Drove it in the back yard. I am surprised how fast it goes in high gear. I am a 73 year old kid. I live in Phoenix, Very hot, 109 today. Have to wait til Oct to get out and play. Beautiful detailed unit. The store talked me out of buying the Arrma Kraton 6S. I am glad they did, this so much more manageable for my first car. I got the yellow one.
Haven't been a Bronco guy, but gotta have one of these. Whoops! My only other TRX4 is a .....wait for it.....'79 Bronco. Gotta give Traxxas credit for the post-less body mount design. Very nice. Looking forwards to a straight axle / IFS conversion.
I'm glad you mentioned the orange color may look different in person, every photo and video I've seen make it look more yellow than orange. Can't wait to see one in person.
That added body rigidity is awesome! I had a TRX6 and it had nothing at all! That’s awesome to see. Do you know offhand if they make a two door? Probably not eh

Just got mine yesterday from a local hobby shop! Got it in cyber orange. Today I put it on some orange 1.9" Methods and some Super Swampers. It looks amazing and it is so much fun! I'll have to look into building an interior like that because that is super cool and I cannot wait for the advanced lighting kit. Summer scale adventures on the way! P.S. Love the videos. I've got this on pre-order as well as the 1:1 on pre-order! Here's to hoping they offer the body in an unpainted version so I can color match it to Ford's "Carbonized Gray", which I'm fairly sure Tamiya PS-23 Gun Metal will work.
It will definitely make it into my garage.....9 out of 10 of my rigs are Trx4 platforms...my Bomber will have some Traxxas chassis and electronics in it....plans for 3 more Trx4 builds.
I'm definitely getting one, this and the real one, but I want black. This has to be the most expensive body on the market right now at $225! The body is half of the price of the RTR and costs as much as some full RTRs or kits.
Great video (as usual.) I always enjoy your content! Yep. This is the one that will likely get me into a TRX4. The Defender was pretty tempting but Ford did an amazing job with the design of the new Bronco and Traxxas nailed it in replicating it! This is the most excited I have been for a release since the SCX10 II Cherokee.
Just bought the red bronco today! They also had a deal for getting a free winch if you got the bronco RTR. I wanted a kit to build but at the moment I don’t really have the work space. The bronco seemed like the best bang for buck that they had in stock. I love it already!

I was wanting to build a vs4-10, after talking with you, Josh, & Moosejaw. My wife and I ending up moving to Plano which is 20 minutes north of Dallas and it got into my rc funds just a bit. The new trx-4 is bad ass and it might tide me over until I can build what I really really want.
I will definitely be getting one. I'm so addicted to the scale side of RC it's inevitable. The orange for sure. It will look real noce next to my 1979 Sunset Bronco, Green Ford F100 Axial, and 1984 Toyota Pickup sitting on Enduro chassis! 🤟

Already have the Racer Red on order! Adding it to my stable of three New Brights that I built on Element Trail Runner chassis. Had to have the IFS on those to be legit IMHO. Especially since I have a two door on order from Ford.
It’s really a lovely body- looks better than the NB hard plastic! I think I’d lean toward a Sport still, but I dunno, maybe. My friend has Sport with the two speed and that extra wheel speed is more useful than I expected.
Mine is bought and paid for, just waiting for it to arrive at the hobby store... now which color do I want? Red or yellow, red or yellow, red or yellow???? Carbonized gray is not an option. Help!
About to start a scx10 III build the only reason I chose the Axial is the trx4 had those stupid body mounts and no interior. Looks like my next build will be a traxxas.
I love the lockers. I have them on my comp rig, tighter turning radius for 1 and for 2, in c2 dig isnt legal but unlocking the rear and hooking a tire to whip it around.
Great looking body on a well known chassis. Since I don't have a Traxxas in my arsenal, this might be the first one or do I replace my 4 year old laptop instead?.. Mm..Choices. just have to see what my funding is. Cheers!
@@scalebuildersguild hello Matt, the weather out here of course is usually pretty awesome. We get the chinooks roll in and we can be outside in the middle of winter in t-shirts and trail runs are definitely not out of the question this time of year.
If cost and access to parts isn't a factor.. which kit is more preffered in terms of overall performance and upgradability.. Traxxas TRX4 or SCX 10 iii?
They're both pretty close, in my opinion. I think it comes down to your body preference. The TRX4 is a bit older than the III, so there's likely more parts out there.
I was waiting forever for the TRX4 Blazer, (still waiting and I still love it) but I’ve decided for my first TRX4 to go with the BRONCO, love the new look, body clips etc especially with the new light kit should be awesome right next to my RC4WD Blazer!👍🤠🇨🇦
The trx 4 is awesome, I do prefer the sport, but that's me, this body is awesome and from the reviews I've previously seen, it is very capable. Great review man😎

The TRX-4 has been on my list for a while. I’m in the market for a trail truck or crawler and I’ve been leaning towards the Redcat Gen 8. This new Bronco looks great but at its price point it’s making me consider the Gmade Buffalo.
Traxxas TRX4 seems like a great platform, but I never really wanted one until now. Finally, a body I really like, with no exposed body posts. I would have to improve the approach angle a bit. This is the current front runner for my next RC.
Already have my real one on order....I guess I need the model one as well. The body clip and skeleton look much like the same on my e-revo as well. I was thinking of buying something much more scale then this popped up.
Those light kits already exist for a long time and I bet you can buy ten of them for the same price you buy one from traxxas The body looks great though
I wish Traxxas put more effort into it and give it IFS like the real thing, not just new shell and and body parts. Than a Raptor body wouldn't boil my blood and made sense. That being said, the body is really nice.
Tempting, very tempting...but those portal axles are a no for me. And I already have a bullnose Bronco body waiting to be painted like my actual bullnose Bronco sitting outside my dads garage.

Had a weird problem with my 1979 Ford bronco. Bought it in July 2023 but now that it's December 2023 (in case anyone is looking at this later). Basically I was running it in the rain and I think moisture got in the receiver and transmitter (not water, moisture) and messed with the connection. After turning it off and on again a ton of times the front shifter servo burnt out. Should I replace the servo, transmitter & receiver or just the servo?

I agree, it does look great! And that clipless body mounting system is awesome! Some things I would have loved to see was a lighter tint on the windows with an interior and driver and also with the light kit installed. seems big. real life wheelbase on 4 door bronco is 116”. axial jeep wrangler 4 door is even a big body and still 12.3” wheelbase. the body mount setup looks really nice though. by the way wheelbase on a real 4 door wrangler is 118” so the bronco should definitely be shorter
If I can come up with the funds, I do want to have a Bronco in my collection. And like you, I do prefer that orange as they call it, to my it looks yellow.

I hope a ifs kit is released for the Trx-4 soon. So I can get it and complain it’s not a solid axle.

Comparisons and what wheel sizes fit what tyres. Ie do 2.2 tyres fit 1.55 wheels etc.

The 4.75” tires actually look ok on this one since the body is so big. IMO 4.75” looks a little too “monster truck” on the 10iii JL.
