I like all those features and you showed exactly why people would want those features-roosting some dirt and that nice gap jump!
Crawlers are awesome as you age. Some days they are the absolute best, and I love being able to walk the dog at same time. Same old TrX but that’s like same old v8 rwd muscle car, it’s not broke does not need fixing, we have two trx4 and my sport has endured ungodly abuse, an at least 300 foot roll down cliff just the other day, no damage. Love them. Best with friends though,

It’s between this truck or the Drag Slash for me. Both are very strong showings so far. It would be my first foray into crawling or drag racing. Both look like a lot of fun. Your demonstration of this vehicle is the best I’ve seen on YT.
@@outsourcedrc I agree with you. The TRX would be great fun with all of the trails around Tallahassee. From what I have seen with the Drag Slash is that they tuned it very well right out of the box to be competitive with other drag racers out there. I would think that a lot of the fun is getting the beast to run straight and fine tuning it. I guess one could use the TSM as a measuring stick of sorts for different drag strips and try to match it as closely as possible.

Hi, i get mine in Cape Town, South Africa in the next few weeks. Awesome review, really like the car, really capable! It has different driving modes apparently, so i suppose in "Crawling Mode" in Low Range, it would crawl slowly up the rocks. Great that it's waterproof too.
The best part about the new Bronco TRX4 is that in this model use a metal servo horn vrs in all other models a plastic servo horn. In my opinion, the best thing they did. I like this new Bronco and might get it. I didn't want a second TRX4 but I'm a fan of the Broncos, moreso the old stuff, but this new Bronco has great detailing and is very hard to tell if it's real or fake. If you get a set of licensed tires like a set of BFG all terrains, you'd never know it was a RC
@@outsourcedrc I wasn't saying change them. I just meant if you were going for scale looks in like scale competition, a set of BFG All terrains would make this thing look real in video. I like my Proline Flat Irons on my 79, but the foam isn't what you'd find in a stock tire. It's a type of memory foam and it doesn't degrade like the regular foams do. If you were using your TRX4 for hardcore crawling, I would say the 2 stage foam would be the best to get. You aren't using yours for competition, so just do whatever makes you happy.
I saw a video a while back that you did on the TRX 4 and you said you switched the way the differentials locked up so the back end would be the first to lock into poss and you could slide around like drifting, I was wondering how you did that, just swap the wires on each servo or what you did? P.S. I think you owe me some money, because your one of the reasons I just purchased the yellow TRX4 today 🤣 lol Love your videos and Thank you for your time John C

Thanks! Yes I tape the hole up inside the wheel. And I make holes on the outside. We do that so that any water that gets in the wheel comes right out. The Traxxas RC's sometimes can hold a bigger battery. You will have to check and see if they offer a battery hold down for it. You can always just strap it on.

I think so. This has the two speed transmission and the locking and unlocking diffs. I like that I can goof off with it as a higher speed RC truck and it will take turns. I would have regretted getting a sport.

Awesome video. I love the new truck. It's expensive though, and still lacks an interior, and lights. My Axial SCX10iii JLU included both of those, at a lower price.
I personally love having the ability to go into high gear and unlock the diffs. When I go out with others, they are all looking at me having fun between obstacles while they are stuck in low gear.
Ouch 2 missed opportunities to throw a clip of the side by side comparison of the two Bronco TRX-4’s in and all you did is say how you compared them but didn’t put it in the video why not just stitch in the clip?
Me too, but the details on this version is amazing. My opinion, their best yet. I also have the 79 Bronco TRX4, but there is a few things you'd notice were fake right away. Personally, I think I may end up getting it.
@@gtlogan8858 I honestly doubt they will at this point. If I'm not mistaken though, Proline makes that body style. I'm nowhere near 100% sure on that but I know I've seen it before.

Aside from the body is there any difference between the $550 Bronco TRX4 and the $370 TRX4 Sport?
High and low gear + locking/unlocking differentials. And a few other minor differences.
I personally love having the ability to go into high gear and unlock the diffs. When I go out with others, they are all looking at me having fun between obstacles while they are stuck in low gear.
