I own a MT-09SP 22 an they are an absolute blast. Next time you take that rig for run go through the settings an adjust the modes. To get a bit of a more better wheelie out of the bike you want tcs mode on M mode that way you can adjust the tcs an lift control so it doesn’t fight the bike an have it on 1 mode 😈. Also what’s cool is that the heater grip wiring is behind the headlight, just need to buy Yamaha’s heated grips plug an play an all the heat adjustment is done on the tft screen. Me personally I think the Gen3 is way better then the previous gen1 an gen2. The Gen2 headlight reminds me of mantis head lol, but the Gen3 headlight I like cause it gives me that japanese NEO manga look feel like Appleseed or Neon Genesis Evangelion, But I love all MT bikes.
Do you know if the regular MT09 2021 not SP has the heated grips plug and play? If so do you know where to get the heated grips at? Thanks for any advice.

I love riding in mode 4 and car drivers think I’m on a slow bike that’s the only time they want to race cos they think I’m on a slow bike then put it in mode 1 😂😂and watch them not want to race anymore
It’s Good feeling after riding a slow az bike since 2017 😂 and always being sad slow

Very interested in purchasing this bike. My concern is four how much wind is hitting me between 75 and 85. Any comments?
Just bought my first bike (MT-07) and have put 270 miles on it. And I'm already eyeing the 09....
Take it slow, so much to learn a enjoy the 07 with 🌱

Hey man couple things, You have wheelie assist on still (LIF) you can see the light flashing on the dash when the wheel comes up, If you hold up on the mode button while stopped it will disable all tcs settings on the gen 3 09, and good old Springfield too hahah I have a 22’ mt09 sp 👌🏼plus try to avoid using the quick shifter from 1st-2nd and auto blip from 2nd-1st as it’s quiet common to get false neutrals, I have the exact same pipe on mine if you get a chance to ride another one when your in decell jiggle the throttle just on the free play feel and it’ll pop and crackle like crazy
Glad to read that other persons have that false neutral too lol, had it last time twice a day, pretty annoying xd I think you have to push the pedal bit bit harder/longer at first gear to second
@@ADDONRACER the noise it makes when you put it back into gear is horrendous too 😂 I clutch shift 1-2 now and no more issues
@@wade4699 haha yea, at me it happened around max rpm when goin full throttle, when it goes into neutral, you get pulled back lol and also it rev matches since it goes to neutral xD I also like the QS more when it is in use at higher rpm, at low rpm its bit jerky. You wheelie the mt09?
Thanks for this comment Wade!! Yeah, I sorted figured it all out by the end, I think I cut it out, but I did end up just turning all the settings to 1. Great tips though!!
@@ADDONRACER feels like you grenade the gears too hahah, yep I do I can keep them up for easy 4-500m 😂 only got 3000kms on mine it’s much more twitchy to wheelie then my old mt07 was, I can’t do knee knocks and stand ups like on my 07, and yep I have done a traxk day on my 09 and the qs and auto blip was flawless when you were hard on it

Hey guys i know this bike is not for hwy but like for occasional hwy runs, how planted is it? I heard the previous gens have been a little bit wonky where the front feels like its going for take off like a plane. Anybody owns these newer gens of this bike have any input? Honestly torn between mt09 and the kawasaki z900 ..
Just need to take both bikes out for a ride an see what makes you comfortable with which one. Me personally it’s lighter then the z900 an has more tech then the z900, an owning a gen3 SP means cruise control absolutely love it cause I have to ride to work on the highway everyday. An it’s track ready if I want to take it on a weekend run.

Bro if the mt07 does wheelie with throttle in 2nd gear, 100% this one can do too. Infact, you can power wheelie in 3rd gear with mt09

The windshield is not pretty imo. Otherwise it looks nice. But doing all that and keeping the ugly warning sticker on the tank baffles me.

Go the speed limit on an MT09? pshhyeah right haha. That's why people get the MT07 after riding the 09 because the 09 is a completely different animal not suited for the weak lol. I've ridden both. Plus I think with all the additional features on the 09 it's the better buy long term.

i hated this bike at frist looks and everthing.. after some time i bought it.. best desicion in my life.. what a bike.. now is better looking to me then old one.. only down side front forks, seat move side to side like its chinese made.. and wind whant to rip head of and of course.. fuel tank is to small
