    I think you'd be more pleased by using a siphon hose. It has one open end (into your boat fill) with the other having a metal ball inside a casing. Casing end in the jug, jug on the cabin top, jig up & down a few times and the speed of the fill will amaze you. West Marine has them for $16, next time you're on the mainland. Has been 'the solution' for decades, for water, diesel and/or gas (assuming dedicated hoses).

      Hello Jack, I actually have several syphon hoses at home, but I did not have one on board the boat. I actually never thought of using one for water. I don’t think the hose would be long enough but I guess I could extend it. Thanks for the great idea.

    We were hoping to see the trip packing that it shows on the picture. We have an Aspen C 108 power cat. We are looking to go to the same area in the Caribbean as the both of you. We just found your channel and are binge watching. Thank you.

    Have you tried a shaker siphon to keep from lifting the water jugs to pour water?

      That’s a great idea . I didn’t have one on the boat at the time. I do use one at home for fuel .
      Thanks for the good tip.

    OK so as to not get to personal how do you guys shower every day...or do you shower every other day...sorry Im just so curious

    • @expeditionseanest
      @expeditionseanest  Год назад

      We don't feel the need to shower every day as we are swimming almost every day. A quick soap up and rinse seems to do the job. When we are in a marina, the showers are a wonderful luxury and we take full advantage of them. With so little fresh water you just learn to change your habits.

    Why don't you install a water maker?

      Good question! Too much money and not enough space. It would be great to have onboard. Are you aware of a small model?
