As a grandparent I can vouch for the added bonus of getting more visiting time with those we love. I bet your grandparents see you using their shower as a really good thing. Love it.
I’ve lived in an RV for ten years now. My husband retired early and we’ve been traveling. Now that we have a grandson, we are settling back down in a different state than where we are from. I get to see my boy every day, but I really want to be back in a real house soon.
Pulling a trailer is expensive... I used to do it for work... Remodeling takes 3xs longer than you think it should in most cases... Remodeling is also expensive... I am currently living in my remodeling project... It's not really ideal but staying debt free is going to be worth it... I am in NW SD fall was like 3 days this year... I feel for you... Prayers sent...
Stay home get it sorted, get inside. Would be my first idea BUUUT, and it's a big one... There are so many nice places to see in The States, avoid Canada this time of year (I can say that, I'm Canadian living in the UK though), but its not warm in Canuck-ville. Can't wait to see your choice!
If you can heat as much floor space in the unfinished building as you have in the RV, then staying might be OK. But in winter small spaces can get REALLY claustrophobic, boots, coats, heat loss every time the door is opened, short days, cabin fever could be significant.
In feel you guys on RV living. We don't have as many people, but we do have a 130 lb Akita that takes up a lot of space. 😆 Well done video. This was great.
Definitely fix up a couple of rooms and the bathroom, use a hot plate and small fridge in a room, stick in a wood burning stove and hole up in the house for the winter. You wouldn't be the first family to "build it while flying it" haha. God bless. And btw, sweet lady, you are a sharp funny chick. Yes, I'm an old woman lol. Giving away the 60's lingo. There I go again ugh. ;-)
I am guessing that you stay and face it head-on! If you can work on the house and it is safe from freezing temps then cook in the RV. I have missed you all!!! The humor from you both helps keep you going! Also since you wrangle with kids I am thinking you (Sarah) get all the workout you need! LOL Love and prayers sent up there to tide you over no matter what you decide to do. 🙏🙏💖💖
Ya need to stay home and face the problem.... leaving in the spring didn't solve it, it just gave u back ur problem this fall, which here in MN is not acting like fall...it is freezing here! I don't know how u keep that RV from freezing up.....my guess is u moved into the unfinished house....that is how we did all our renovations....u get through it and u will have much more space while working on the house, just need to keep the kiddos safe....from dust particles too....I wasn't as aware of that back when we did it....we all seem fine, but I should have done better with that. U guys will do great....this too shall pass....and I love following stories like this; so vlog away and I bet u will get help with it! Oh yeah, super funny too Sara 👍👍
I am interested in what you are doing about it raining inside the windows... it sounds like my car. I want to be a yoga person too lol. I have actually stayed at a home where I had to move their dirty laundry out of their tub so I could take a shower. Yea, for showering at the grandparents!
Love your sense of humor if home is liveable stay even in 3 rooms n hot water if not will see you on the road but if you stay or go will any work get done to get anymore rooms moved into lol
I would stick it out at home, and work on the house as much as possible. Thanks for sharing your video, have a Blessed Week **HUGS & PRAYERS** from Kelly and the critters at Piney Haven Homestead.
Great video! If you do hit the road let us know if you make it down to Arkansas, we would love to meet you guys and have dinner or something together. Take care and God Bless! You have a great channel and a super family! John 😎👍
Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll meet the challenge with the same humour you've shown on this vlog! :) Best of luck, whatever you decide, and I hope you get your house done a little quicker than it's been so far :)
I will not give any advice but you might need a road trip 😍but since shower is not working in the RV going to be hard unless you get it fixed 🤑more money 💰 just saying 😍
I don't know how to send private messages on here. I live it Mn as well. I've been hearing about you on The Roots & Refuge page since I started watching Jessica about when we for 5 months now. I love the community I love that you guys are my people lol. Send me a private message or I don't know how that works.
I'm not sure we know how that works either. LOL. You can always reach out to us on instagram or via email though; our email is listed on our YT about page. :) ~ethan
I especially love the handwritten War and Peace dust cover for your Ayn Rand book; as if Atlas Shrugged ain’t long enough. lol.
Lol. It's actually The Fountainhead. I've never read War and Peace, I'm pretty sure I'd rather stick with Ayn Rand! ~sarah
I thought is was Atlas Shrugged, too. Funny!!!

Funny. Silly. A joy to watch.

Liking the new thumbnail! Very dynamic!🙌
Nice button!
Looking forward to seeing what you do for the winter. Funny video, warm showers at grandmas looks like a good deal.
Stay and finish the house!! You got this

I have miss y'all. Love your video. Love and Hugs from Oklahoma
I can’t believe that I missed this video! What a FUN video! 😁
Oh I’m so happy to see you, your videos have been missed! I would like to see you’ll stay home and get in that house as soon as you can!
This was a fun video! Enjoyed it ❤️
Oh, please stay home. Loved to see you today! You are funny and strong-willed. I look forward to your progress. Hoping our winter is an easy one. ❤️

Good to have a sense of humor about these things! Love the video!
Stay and finish the house because we miss your videos !!
So glad you are back in have sure missed you all.

It depends on how "unfinished" the house is. If the sleeping quarters don't hold heat then hit the road. But, if they do, move in.
In my book it would be better to stay home, save money, and work on parts of the house when able. Good luck! 👍
I love this. You guys are so real and funny. Thanks for sharing. 💗
I had 5 sisters and one bathroom so I know it's a struggle :) New friend Ruthie here
Stay, and work on the house.....good luck.....

Also, we would love to have you guys come by for a visit if you do head out for a bit 🙋🏼
Stay home, work on the house when can. I would love being able to help-out my grandchildren!!
Love your sense of humor if home is liveable stay even in 3 rooms n hot water if not will see you on the road but if you stay or go will any work get done to get anymore rooms moved into lol
You should come visit me!! Though it's 22 degrees so not warm by any means 🤷🏻♀️

How is the remodel coming?
We'll be releasing an update video later in the week! Stay tuned!

Yoga is good. Start with basic stretches though.
I would say stay at home. Cause on warmer days you guys can work on the house if you can live in it.
Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll meet the challenge with the same humour you've shown on this vlog! :)

Can't imagine that many in a small trailer your a tough woman that's for sure
Stay home! We still need to get together :)
Stay and work on the house or the finish line will continue to be put off
If you can put heat in at least one big room , I’d say stay home and save the money!

STAY home and work on that house unless it's totally unliveable... I did it when I was your age it's totally doable..😃
Would be cheaper to stay home.
Stay home
If possible stay. You need to get this house done and traveling won't do it.
That's cheating...
