Amazing how we got one of the best games ever this year AND the best dlc only months later. Usually takes a year or two.
It's because the areas models and all the stuff was already there the few new areas we explore and the few new weapons and models is what took them months to do
Should and could have been put in the main game. Extra cash grab.

Curious to see how they deal with the RE5 and 6 remakes if they are coming. They've managed to remake and reintroduce games that were inherently fantastic. They have their work cut out for them with 5 and 6 being not so good originally.

Huge disagree with the U3 fight, they cut the annoying container part and added a second phase, for me is better than the original.

I'm just so happy that we got U3 and IT looks so badass.
The container sequence wasn't annoying for me, it was meant to invoke a sense of ergency and anxiety due being trapped in small area with terrifying new boss. Worked well then and would of been even better now
@@bigwhopper6501 In my opinion they kinda did include something similar in the base and dlc with El Gigante canon section and the Martinico chase where you have to open a door with a keypad and then lure him into the lasers.

I would have payed $20-30 for this DLC the fact it’s only $10 is an amazing deal.
It's worth 10. Better yet should have been uncluded in the game for a 70 dollars package, but the game cost 60 and this was 10 so it's right where it's supposed to be. Yall are the reasons companies overcharge.
@@kbthegoat824 you sound goofy, the dlc plays better then most full $70 released games. Resident evil 4 remake launched with no bugs and is a masterpiece, people are willing to pay for good quality products.
@@gilbertoarellano8525 some games are masterpieces some are not, does that mean games rated 9 and up should cost 100 while those under 9 cost 70? Doesn't work like that, All tripple A games release at the same price point. Seperate ways was included in the ps2 release of the game and any other version after that. It was removed alongside other parts from the remake, they just brought those back with the dlc. The price is where it's supposed to be, like I said people like you is why some companies charge whatever
@@kbthegoat824 You’re comparing a ps2 game to a ps5 game when full games use to be megabytes, it takes longer to make games now adays and in an era where studios release half assed games and just patch them down the road and still charge full price, it’s good to see a company actually release a complete game with no game breaking bugs and well received by fans and critics. $60 dollars has been the price of new games sense last generation. See how you’re the only one upset about paying $10 for DLC. Paying for DLC ain’t nothing new my guy.
@@gilbertoarellano8525 read what I wrote. I said the price is right. I believe it should have been 70 with seperate ways included. They didn't include seperate ways but only charged 10 for making it a dlc, that brings up the total of the remake to 70, which is the right price. I'm not complaining about paying 10, if it was 20 to 30 like you claim you want it to be I would have had a problem with it, but obviously you don't mind paying blindly.

I disagree with the take on U3.
First off, spoilers for those that haven’t even played.
Second, the fact that they even payed homage to that foe is more than enough to extend the love letter, it does not need anything fancy like the cage segment. The fight itself was a great inclusion in my opinion, don’t see how else Capcom could have done it.
Plus it never made sense to me that you couldnt harm him in the cage but could magically do so in phase 2 plus Castle El Gigante and Martinico are new segments which for me are replacements for the cage part.
@@davidmcnally6791 Exaclty and we already have two segments in remake separate ways where you can’t harm the enemy one shorter segment with the big Cheese himself, and one longer segment with a newer encounter. We do not need U3 as a third as well, too many invincible encounters.
My best guess of why we could not harm him in the original probably was down to the cages of how we can really call that a fight arena, it’s too small, and it’s tied to a gimmick anyway, still from a logistical standpoint, I do understand where you come from.

Leon approves 💯 Ada's DLC!
i hated the original U3 in the Original yet the surprise of its integration here made me smile and went “aaaahaaaa!! there he is” it was a good remix for me. have to disagree on that one!

Ive gotta say playing as ada in this game has been the most fun playing as any character in resident evil since idk when several years. Her look, her sassy demenor, her action seens with the grapple hook, grapple hook animation were awesome , it was just perfect, the quality of the gameplay and visuals were great .if people dont like it then theres no pleasing them. the action was perfect atmosphere was perfect just a good job by capcom. scary moments were very good to me very balanced with action and horror. They really showed us adas talent and amazingness her design was perfect in this game. It was better than leons story to me. To me seperate ways was the best RE remake theyve done so far in the remakes
Now we need a HUNK dlc from racoon city only if

Everyone is talking about how Ada looks and this and that but no one is talking about how this game gets an 8/10 ? Really gamespot or should I say game rot 😑

After i beat the base game might get this dlc looks really good
The fact we got a much more fleshed out black robe boss persuasive enemy is perfect. We got so many extras that didnt make the remake cut. But thats to keep Ada's journey original and fresh. Capcom pulled it off to perfection. 10/10 lets not nitpick for Nothing like the remake didnt already add so many new additions. The only missing notable things i can think of is Krauser and Adas conversations, krauser calling her a bitch in the red dress.... and leon being possessed and strangling ada. Oh and that ashley wanting overtime with leon.
But it made more sense though, and what they did with U3 was great!

Yes but you could argue RE 3 Remake had more original assets
Re 2 was short also finished it in 2 and a half hours it just feels longer because all the backtracking but it's actually short
I like that Ada wasn't infected with the same Plaga as Leon and Ashley. She was infected with a more center-hived one, the hive being the left hand of Ramon
What I hate is that it's neve explained how U3 is different, why his infection isn't insertion based but more blood based. Also, the fact the lizard is just a small running away scene, he's not even scary, even though you know he's indestructible and mindless
Great DLC, but still not a fan of Ada's voice acting. Geralt of Rivia somehow has more meotion than ada wong. Lily Gao shouldnt be harrassed but i personally wouldnt want her to come back and voice her. Really wished they kept joelene

Really excited to see r5 remade
At first I wasn’t a huge fan of the voice actress, although I didn’t think she did a bad job either. After playing this DLC and getting more into Ada’s cold and calculating character, I became a huge fan of the voice acting and it also makes Ada sound more mature than she did in RE2 remake

Here's the like for the review because it's a decent one, even though I don't agree with the final score (for me it's at least a 9.5/10).
But about the voice acting... you were just being kind, weren't you? You get used to it, but it's not as good as it says here. RE2 Remake's one is so much better, it can't even be compared. And it's not about "Ada's personality being more down to earth, etc." It's just the quality of the voice acting.
Very frustrated with this dlc. It should have been free. I got separate ways for free when I bought the original and most of separate ways is all just stuff they cut from the base game.
Interesting that the reviewer enjoyed the performance. The dryness just seems way out of place, since everyone else is over the top

U3 fight lost all the suspense the original had. Good dlc overall, thought they would've fleshed out ada side of the story more like where is she going at the end of the game? should have been included in the remake from the get for 70 dollars, but the dlc cost 10 with the game costing 60 so they got it right price wise.

If u have the cd copy of RE4 remake then be careful when you buy the digital dlc for separate ways. If the Region for the base game cd and separate ways dlc dont match then separate ways won't install. Sony should create more awareness regarding this region BS coz i just wasted $10 coz my base game CD is Europe region and my psn account(PlayStation store) is set to USA. I was allowed to purchase the dlc, download, but it did not install. After tedious research on google I had to create a new psn account with UK as region, fund the account then repurchase the dcl for another $10 worth. This is so fkn ridiculous! Sony should have a mechanism for avoiding this! Awesone game tho thats why i went thru all d trouble regardless😂

I think OG RE4 is stil better
The U3 fight is much better than the original, the second phase is a nice change.
I wish you didn't include so many cinematics and gameplay spoilers on this review. It's a DLC length add on - you're not supposed to show every highlight and main story scene
I wasted all the ammo I carefully gathered from every corner on the huge boss not realizing I have a prompt to grapple on his back. I dont even recall I had such an option. Surely some tester had similar issue but probably they rushed it over to release and relied on video reviews to show players how to beat the boss the proper way. Still, good DLC.
