It's not too surprising to see this this ending since I'm sure you see monkey ball franchise characters in ufo catchers throughout the Yakuza/LAD series. I played one of the monkey ball games on ps2 back when blockbusters was still very much around, and it was actually pretty fun yet challenging. What is surprising, though, is that you don't see that much of the series today, even though it would make a serious comeback with achievement leaderboards and speedrunners.

i skipped the cutscenes after the nishiki boss in kiwami and it went from both of them exhausted to the building blowing up
