Not sure how I missed this, Jack! Thanks for taking the time! Never actually owned DB. My ex was the official owner. Never had the chance to purchase it after the breakup. That's why I started Badger. And I've stoked with how it's progressing!

Looks like an awesome belt, I’ve been using buckaroo but the belts heavy as hell. This looks like something I might have to jump on in the coming months. Hopefully some more accessories are released like a pencil holder for suspenders (I’m left handed)
@@whateyatalkinabout4972 you can stick a pencil in either side of the chest strap of the suspenders. no accessory needed!
@@whateyatalkinabout4972 both Db and Badger are lefty friendly. Choose the setup you want and they’ll ask your dominant side. I have DB, so many pouches and accessories. I’ll definitely be getting a badger in the future. I like how the top pockets are wider than Db

But I haven’t ordered yet because I sent badger an email but I have no heard back from anyone.
Had my Diamondback rig for 7 years and used it every day. Broken in but not worn out and I fully expect to retire in it. Bought a Badger belt and suspenders for my old Occidental bags about a year ago so i could keep a loaded rig with me for side jobs and service work. The quality on both is next level. I don't understand how anyone spends good money on a traditional style rig anymore when we have 2 great companies making hardwork more comfortable through innovation.

I have 2 occidental and they are retired but fun to look at. I have 2 DB and while the Grrande is great they are hung up. I am wearing the 702 for steel beam layout and metal shop stuff but I have e 2 badgers both made by Joel and they are my absolute favorite bags. They go to Al the jobs and are still looking New

The LH bag on the original carpenter's set has pouches and slots on that LH side, same as the trim sets. There's a two tiered slot on the back that will happily hold a combo square and another bar, or a torpedo level. We will soon offer that set to retail as well.
@joelthomas8158 are you guys going to change the speed square on your carpenters bag like sew in the bottom so it doesn’t connect to the main pouch? Only problem with the bags because it gets jammed up with bugles and on a roof had it fall off twice this year, although it’s not that big of a problem more it was hot end of the day and bending over on top of trusses and not paying attention when putting it back in, otherwise loving the setup so far 👍
@@mattmaxwell3923 We can definitely do that with any custom order. But we leave that open so the square can sit as deeply as possible. We can also put a strap on the slot itself to lock it down. Sorry to hear you had some trouble with it.
@@joelthomas8158so you still do custom gear, good to know might have to change it, it’s not a real problem unless I have bugles in there which are 14guage, no point having a open slot of you fill the main bag with stuff that the square can’t make it past to the bottom.
Overall still love the bags and are working really great

I’m trying to get a custom Badger set myself. They just look comfy af as far as carpenters bags / tool belts can be. I’m trying to get a ceiling guy specific rig. I only emailed Joel Thursday and got a reply. I told him everything I wanted and hopefully he gets back to me. Man a Badger Belt set would be so ideal.
Originally I was looking at Diamondback. I’m trying to get a lighter rig. I’ve have my Occidental bags for about 10 years

was up for new bags start of the year and really wanted a set of badgers but couldnt do the wait time so went for DB. so gutted i didnt wait a few more months cant justify buying two of the most spendy belts on the market withen a year
Thoughts on the Milwaukee jackets?
Like the look of that left side bag for the more open main pocket, having the ability to stuff your hand in it is great in my opinion. Diamondback hasn't got that in my mind, barring the Ox of course. Or is the Wrangell 2.0 comparable?
Wrangell 2.0 is comparable but it has 3 slots in the main pocket. Ox sits more open but Wrangell is close

What's the weight difference in this set up to the Occidental fat lip set up ?
After wearing the fat lip setup, these bags and belt will feel like a feather
What I don’t like about that lay out is the tape measure at the top appears to force the entire setup to hang lower for that one tool. Maybe it’s not an issue but that’s my initial thoughts.

Martinez nail puller. I have one it’s a badass nail puller it has a mini side nail puller like on his hammers and a tear drop puller on the foot of it. He doesn’t make them anymore sadly.

For me 5 more pounds on a custom set of bags is not a big deal. My waist is 34 but I am only 5’8” and weigh 205. I like leather and if you look and question Luke how his bags are made?

I also went to leather and enjoy putting on a nice sturdy set of life time bags!

How is the badger doing? On my grrandes from db I have holes on the corners and stitching failing on the hook and loop part. I feel like nothing holds up to framing.
