  • Malcolm Arnold's marvellous Leonore No. 4 Overture, written for one of the Hoffnung Music Festivals in the 1950s. Apparently based on a real-life event where the offstage trumpeter missed his cue... needs to be watched all the way through.

    Completely stupid and I love it! We all need some nonsense in our lives. People take things so blooming serious nowadays. Life's too short - enjoy it. You may not get another one. And I have an excuse (didn't need it but I'll have it) to listen to the glorious original again.

    Wow, that is Alan Levy the American journalist, author and editor in chief of The Prague Post seen several times in the audience. Truly one of the most important members of the expat community in Prague in the 1990s.
