I love your channel! I don’t know how I stumbled upon the algorithm but glad I did. I love sculpting and not only are you extremely talented, your video are actually very informative, well structured and just fun and not clinical or dry. Ive been sculpting w air dry clay a long time but I’ve learned a lot from your channel! ❤thank you!!!

This was awesome! I understand your mixed feelings about your sculpt, these are two different pieces :) One is the inspiration of the other and they changed a bit! Not to mention, you've stared at her for hours!!!! Nothing wrong with that! I am just learning to use air dry clay and nearly at the painting step :) Your video gave me the inspiration and confidence I needed. Great job!!!!

The blue stripes on the white sweater was a good touch.
What is the "putty" you used to mask the eyes. I am preparing to get my air brush out to begin painting my clay monsters. I always used the air brush on plastic scale models, with solvent based paints. I have decided to use water based acrylics for my clay projects, both air dry anf oven baked clays. Are some water based acrylics better for polymer clays than others. are there any brush on masking materials commonly used?. I remember something used by scale modelers that painted on then developed a cold wax like coat that peeled off. I think masking will be an important issue for painting the clay figures.
This is an exciting leap from scale models to clay figures. No more air planes or race cars. More organic shapes and colours are forcing the brain to see more of the world. Excites my ancient artist's brain.

Hey sweetie, sorry for replying so late. I usually wait until the layer is fully dry which takes around 4 to 6 minutes, since their very thing coats of paint. Hope it helps.

Is it possible to use any glazes or stains and waxes to get a ceramic or bronze look with this type of clay? Also are there any shrinking problems if working on a human size scale with this type of clay? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, sorry for the delay...I totally get you, I had the same exact issues.
I've sculpted with pretty much all the mediums availlables (polymer clay, earth clay, epoxy clay, I've cast in resin, so on) as you can tell AIR DRY CLAY has become my main medium, I have sculpted pieces up to a meter high with this clay, the only annoying thing is that unlike natural earth clay, this clay as any other air dry clay brand it tends to fall if you add to much weight (meaning layers of clay), so the best way to work is in stages, you model the face and wait for the foundations to dry while you model another part of the body, you should always wait for it to dry at a 80% aproximatly, so you can add more clay, that is the only uncomfortable thing, that it is a slow process, and Well, any mistakes should be fixed once the clay is dry. In my community tab you can find the image of this one-meter sculpture that I made, it is a devil, it is one of the first photosand the amount of clay a did for that project. I don't know if youtube will allow me to post the link:
      ruclips.net/channel/UC0XJw4RUVhHS0tNa-TH_J4Acommunity?lb=Ugkx6NcrE5O_I1AKhUlE6Ug9sI-DmXFEbr3F
Anyways my next video is about the recipe, precisly about the clay, so there I'll address important things for those like you and I who are interest in sculpture and want to know more about this recipe.

It would be cool if it was mounted on a Spring and then attached on the Dashboard of a Car underneath the rear view vision mirror, bobbing about and that while you drive
