    I enjoyed your review so much. I've never used a OnePlus phone but I really love it. I believe fans were unnecessarily harsh to the 10 series. It's a very decent piece of device and I'm going to get the 11 pretty soon.

    Still using a OnePlus 7T from September 2020 and as impressive as the oneplus 11 sounds I don't think it is offers enough reasons to upgrade. Snapdragon 855+ still handles most games and general tasks fairly smoothly. Battery is still decent but does struggle with heavy video and game use at around 5 hours SOT. Cameras are B/B+ boosted to an A with GCam. 1080p 90hz on a well calibrated oled panel. 128gb storage and 8gb is still sufficient. If that phone was released now that would still be a good quality mid-tier phone.

      How is the battery life on your 7T? I had 7T too, but recently upgraded to 11 mostly because the battery started to empty really fast and i had to charge it few times a day.
      It was amazing and reliable phone.

      Between 5-7 hours screen on time average. With light use can occasionally surpass 7 hours but I typically have screen brightness around 50-75%. Again this is still very good against the latest releases.

      Have oneplus8 for over 2years still receiving updates, have 13 now it's a really good phone, 90hz 128/8 the shiny brass back, and really no big downside, looking hard at the 11, The price is about the same as my 8 was❤ wow. Gen 2 120 better screen specs bigger and better camera?! Wishing for more color variance but black and green are nice looking. Still researching alot, mostly really good reviews. But my 8 is still going strong, so I have the time. What blows me away I am paying less for brand new 11 and better specs size features etc. Which really is special in 23. Deal for sure! 💕🤘

    I used to love Oneplus, had the 3t, the 7t, currently using an 8t. I used to love the clean software, but last year after just 1 year of using i decied to sell my 8t. The software experience was unbelievable, i didnt get updates for MONTHS and it was such a stuttery software. Then the fact that some apps only run at 60hz stock, just as zack was saying. At first it was a really good phone, oxygenos wasn't loke stock, but it was okay. But now? Unusable.
    I flashed LineageOS 20 on my 8t. Stock android, much more smooth and fluent, no stutters, no hickups, no 60hz, this is just so much better.

  • @partytranimal6293
    @partytranimal6293 Год назад +3

    I'm about to upgrade from my 7 pro and I kind of wish I didn't have to. The performance is still great, but my battery life has noticably weakened, the screen is suffering from burn in and the final straw, every other day my SIM card stops being recognized so I have to reinsert it. I could live with all the other issues except the SIM problem. If I don't notice when I lose service and someone is trying to reach me or I have an emergency, that could spell bad news. The OnePlus 11 is a near perfect upgrade for me except the front camera. I hate the look of hole punch displays and the pop-up camera on the 7 pro is amazing. The screen realestate is killer and I don't have the irrational fear of someone staring at me. I wish pop-up cameras stayed in the mainstream. I understand moving parts are points of failure, but who cares, they're rad. I don't even use my front camera much so I'd rather just have it gone when I don't need it. I guess under-screen cameras are the next step forward, however in their current state, they just feel too much like a compromise. Poor image quality on both the camera and the pixels on top of it. The smartphone market just hasn't been for me in the last few years and I can't imagine it changing in my favor any time soon so I guess now's as best a the time as any to bite the bullet and upgrade

      @partytranimal6293 Год назад

      @@chinturocks185 I've never experienced random camera popups. I literally just bought the 11 a minute before you replied. I only sprang for it because of my SIM card issue and the mother's day specials that end today. I bought the $799 version because there's a $50 off app only coupon, a guaranteed $100 trade in rebate for old phones ($160 total for the 256gb 7 pro in good condition) and a 99¢ mystery box that could have a pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earbuds or the OnePlus Pad in it (neither guaranteed but the value of what could actually be in it is greater than 99¢). All in all, I paid $636.86 for the high end model, and if we include the $200 in birthday gift money I received, I only paid $436.86. And if I went with the lower end model, I could have saved an extra $100. If those discounts interest you, I'd say go for it. I believe I paid roughly $500-600 on my OnePlus 5 when that released so I guess that's not a bad value. I bought my 7 pro used for ~$250 a few years ago (I actually had to buy 2 of them because the first one's model number wasn't supported on AT&T after they discontinued 3g). I think with the coupon and the trade-in rebate, the value proposition is there, if you have that kind of cash to throw at it. I wouldn't upgrade unless you absolutely needed to. I probably wouldn't have bought the 11 if not for the trade-in. In my case, $160 off and and a reduction in my e-waste footprint was a good enough incentive

      I don't know if I can help you but I've had both and I returned the OnePlus 11.. It really does depend on what you use your phone for if you're a gamer and like a super snappy quick phone and you really enjoy fast charging and you like the alert slider and you like a phone that's slightly thinner and taller get the OnePlus but if your person that likes having a really good camera on your phone, you like a simple software experience and I would say the screen is brighter on the pixel and I would say the speaker's are also a little better on the pixel 7 pro and there's some unique pixel features that you won't get on a OnePlus phone . The voice to text is amazing on the Pixel phone which is probably the reason I went with the pixel 7 pro... Then I get it maybe it all come down to price and here in the States the seven pro was on sale for $599 and now the OnePlus is on sale for $599 at Best buy so.

    Turn it off and forget about it.
    The 11 is an excellent phone, have it and everything that has come out since the 10 Pro. If you are a heave camera user and NEED THE BEST!!!! Camera. Go with the 11. But if pictures are a casual thing then there are other phones like the 10Pro 10T or the Nord3 that cost much less and work fantastically.
    It you are a very light user and want a fantastic device at a really good price there is the OnePlus Nord N30. Works on ATT, TMobile and I think Verizon and all their MVNOs.

Don't want to let go of this phone(because the front camera pop-up is a huge add-on for my privacy - I MEAN IT & believe me i have done my research). The new Oxygen OS is not my type. But i need an upgrade. Should i go for this one or wait for a new upgraded one. I don't like the punch hole front camera too. Confused af 😮‍💨

    They actually fixed some of the software foibles - notifications are now easier to deal with. The refresh rate is still funky with some apps, though. That said, it's really slick overall. Very nice upgrade from my 6T.

    • @BrianGeorgeGaming
      @BrianGeorgeGaming Год назад

      @@ayushpathak8991 Mainly I was looking for a phone to use for the next 5 years. Spec-wise it definitely made sense. The 6T is actually still not slow, although it shows its age in some ways, especially when opening the camera. In general use otherwise, still pretty pleasant. One thing I particularly enjoy about the 11 is the 120hz display. I know it's not an exclusive feature or anything, but it makes a big difference overall. I've been a big proponent of higher refresh rates for years now, having one on my desktop and my iPad Pro as well. I digress. I was curious to see how the transition to the new OxygenOS would be. All in all, it's fine. Pretty slick to work with. Ultimately I'd be fine with stock Android. The one thing that's taking some getting used to is the gestures. They work well, but to go back a page, you swipe from either side of the display, as opposed to up from the bottom left on the 6T. As such, I find myself going back accidentally, especially when viewing albums on Instagram or in a similar manner. Not a deal breaker, but a little annoying. I wish I could customize the gestures. Anyway, I think for what I use my phone for (mostly basic stuff like messaging, music, social media) the specs are overkill. Which was kinda the idea, because in theory it'll last me a long time.
      TL;DR: it's a really solid phone overall. Great display, very smooth operation with a few foibles here and there. Loving it overall. I'd recommend it if you know what you're getting into. I also got it on sale for the Labor Day weekend, so that definitely sweetens the deal further. Probably still worth MSRP, though.

    a great review....you sound like ibra from 'hardware cannucks'...LOL...i actually found oppo before oneplus were created...the find 7 was my first phone from them and that soon became the blueprint for the oneplus one,the issue i and many others had with oppo at that time were not only colorOS and it's,(built more for the chinese market than western market issues),and boy did we have issues with that phone back then,but more oppo's lack of decent software engineers as well as super slow updates,(we would lack behind by a year or so in android versions back then),.i won't go into detail but after said issues oneplus was born...now it seems we have come full circle and oneplus are now just rebranded oppo phones again....the thing the oneplus brand is missing now is it's founder...carl pei...without him unfortunately i fear this brand will die a slow death as carl was much more in touch with western culture and ideas then oppo ever were....soon i think we will see the nothing phone become the new oneplus and oppo will kill the oneplus brand and go back to just selling oppo phones again...a shame but it is what it is

    With my 7T I never experienced a single crumb of problems until I took my case off and let my niece use it and she accidentally dropped it so the screen shattered. Now I have the 9 and in February it will be 2 years and I still haven't run into a single problem. I run a lot of apps and it'll sometimes ask me if I want to optimize them but even if I don't it doesn't lag or glitch. If I keep multiple tabs up it doesn't slow down. However I remembered that I recently went to look for old messages on one thread and realized that it archived or deleted a few years worth of messages without my knowledge. I just bought my OnePlus 11 (256) directly from their website and it only cost $550. The phone I had before this was Google's and it's battery life is non-existing when using games (Magic Arena). It becomes so hot that you can't even hold the phone while playing. Also it becomes this hot when trying to change the phone from 95% to 100% and the charging speed very slow too. But it is great with taking pictures and watching RUclips and all other light task things. I almost bought the Google 7 this time around. But, after experiencing these issues and seeing the OnePlus being supposedly better at exactly these things I had to give it a try. I'll be activating it in a few days and my fingers are crossed hoping I made the right decision.
