Walking up that hill after the “light lunch” to such a beautiful place! Thank you for this video, it took me 30 min to watch b/c I had to pause it & look at all the incredible scenery and details!
I really am amazed by the artistry in designing the temples. I mean it's simply magnificent. Since Buddha's birthday is coming up, I'm curious why the place is so empty. Thank you for taking us on your journey.
That temple is really beautiful, and you need to be in shape to explore it! I used to think that when I get to visit South Korea I would just want to see and get to know Seoul and maybe Busan, but now I realize that I will need to stay long enough to get out of the big cities and visit temples and other special locations. Thank you for showing me how much there really is to see and do in SK.
It’s definitely quite the trek to explore this place! We’d definitely recommend staying a little longer on your trip and checking out some of the quieter areas like this :)
Thank you 🥹 There’s so way we could’ve trekked up all those hills and stairs with a ‘camera camera’. The image stabilization on our iPhones are sooo much better 🫢
Wonderful photography of the scenery and architecture. You timed your visit perfectly. I was huffing and puffing in sympathy with you when you did the climb. I doubt I’ll ever get to go to Korea, so I really enjoy virtually joining your travels. I also enjoy the exploration of different neighborhoods in Seoul.
The view of the mountains + the temple structure 😦💕 how beautiful and impressive The cats were so cute and funny 🤭 thank you so much for taking us on this adventure
Korea's mountains remind me a lot of the Alleghany mountains in the eastern part of the US. The Appalachian range all the way up to New York and Pennsylvania.
I learned that pollen clouds can form from a clutter of pine trees from this video. Also the temple is so stunning but the amount of walking is insane.Going there is a great workout
I went to another temple in a very similarly mountainous location just outside Gyeong-Ju last July. Loved the coloured lanterns and the temple was also spectacular. Very much looking forward to seeing more of this fabulous country in March/April next year. Will keep watching your videos meanwhile - many thanks!🇰🇷😊
Woke up at 6:30 in the morning and came straight here to check out your new video!.. I used to live in Europe, where I’d be able to watch and comment immediately after the video is released, but usually am asleep at the time of posting now… So, using this opportunity: thank you SO MUCH for your amazing, heartwarming content!.. The last year has been the most difficult one in my life so far, and being able to relax and enjoy your adventures was super special. You bring peace and a sense of normality to my crazy life ❤
Ohhh wow-that’s an early morning! 😳 Thank you so much for watching and for the very kind words 🥰 Really hope you’re in a better place now-or at least on the way there ❤️
What a beautiful adventure, I was "exhausted" watching you and imagining what it would be like. I wonder, how long did it take you to walk up and walk down? I think it's a full day trip. Your lunch was amazing. I can't say we have those kinds of mountain structures in New Zealand.
Hope you had your superpower glasses on Kyuho, for the supersaturated colors! Naughty saying no Dragon for Canadian Sarah. Heheh! Perhaps you could share with us what dragon stands for in Korean way? Awesome place & views. Haha, that temple kitty was really unhappy that the other one didn't leave him any of the treat, awwwww ~ Surfshark sounds awesome. Thank you Sarah and Kyuho (and Beemo!) for being our gracious wonderful travel guides & Well Being all :)
Oh my gosh, SO GORGEOUS!! 🤯🤯🤯 All I thought of was going to Guinsa temple complex is like entering the world of Avatar (the Last Airbender, not the blue people lol 🤪🙈)! I didn't even think of this, but I guess now I really have to visit buddhist temples in Korea around Buddha's birthday 🤔
Impressive big temple. The views are amazing. Personally visited older and much smaller temples. Every temple has different templestay programs. Some let the 3am or 4am be an option and not required to attend. Thank you for showing us and taking us on the walk.
@@2hearts1seoul Thank you for your message. Glad to hear you like smaller older temples too. I did visit many temples in, around and outside of Seoul. They are all different and beautiful in their own way. Really enjoy your videos, thank you. 😊
That pollen cloud was amazing! I have never seen anything like that before. Thank you for always sharing with us different hotspots so that we can also appreciate the history of Korea.
This temple is so beautiful! During the whole video I couldn't help but wonder how many lanterns they are in this place... how long does it take them to hang them up?! haha
Wow! Thanks for taking us with you here.. Amazing structure built with nature.. and great views above! 🙂 bookmarking this for future reference esp for the temple stay 🙂
Thank you. This video saved my week. I was sooooooo overwhelmed with life and toxic people and totally needed to watch something like this. I wish you both the best.
This is the type of Korea I want to see! I feel like I would be way too dumb to even get around to find places like these though, like I would probably need a Korean guide to go with me or sth 🤣Truly a hidden gem. 14:28 the flowers on the right literally took my breath away, I had to pause and take it all in. Also TMI but I'm so impressed by how NOT sweaty you were after that climb. My shirt is always drenched when I hike hahaha
I came here during Autumn when all the tree leaves were changing to a vibrant orange and red and it was STUNNING. It looks so beautiful with the green as well and would love to come back here during Spring / Summer. I think this place is a bit of a hidden gem in Korea because I didn't see too many people when I went as well - thanks for sharing this to the world. It deserves so much more attention.
You two always visit the most beautiful places! I went to Sokcho last year after watching your guys’ video and it was probably my favorite part of my trip! 🤍
I have been to Danyang it is definitely a hidden gem and on top of that it is not far from Seoul, they're aquarium is very good to along with the Alpine coaster and Zip lining.
It was probably a good thing you had such a filling (and delicious looking) lunch. You needed energy to climb all the way to the top! The scenery and temple was beautiful. I couldn't believe how big the complex was...it was so quiet and I also wondered why it seemed so empty. I really enjoyed this video of another one of your travels around the country!
This place looks absolutely beautiful! And now I am just having to add Guinsa Temple as an overnight stay from Seoul on my next trip to Korea. I'll be visiting during Autumn and I can imagine just how beautiful the complex and mountain will look with the autumn colours!!

OMG that was a great adventure use did, beautiful from bottom to top. The lantern 🏮 so nice and everywhere must of taken so long to put them up. The view amazing the mountains etc., oh and the two cat's beautiful. + the lunch yummy 😋. Thank you this was really amazing lol I probably won't make it far on this adventure 🤭. Oh seeing your cat at the end so cool 👍😺😊...
This has to be my top favorite video y’all had ever made😍😍😍 I love the view of these temples. They are absolutely stunning 🤩. This will definitely be on my bucket lists ❤️❤️❤️
9:14. This was fantastic. Thank u for sharing this. But, being from a country with HUGE earthquakes that rattle the buildings and people, killing thousands of people, that huge boulder creeps me out. 😂 What were they thinking when they built the temples on top of rocks????😅
Ugh that winding drive to get there is the kind of drive I live for. Imo there are few better things that scenic drives. Especially when surrounded by mountains and so much greenery. It's always a little shocking to realize how much country side there is in korea when all you see from the country are the cities. I know it's likely due to work opportunities, but I'm always amazed more people don't live out in the country side or on the outskirts of cities. Maybe it's also because these places are a little too secluded and hard to get to. This temple was amazing. You really feel like you've gone back in time or you've been transported to a fantasy world. It can be hard to believe places like this still exist in the modern age. Thank you so much for sharing this video. If one day I'm ever lucky enough to visit South Korea, this is definitely going to be added to the list of places to see.
The drive there was sooo mountainous ⛰️ The rural areas in Korea are so sparsely populated because the infrastructure isn’t great and there aren’t many jobs (unless you’re working in agriculture). They’re so stunning to visit though 🌿
This might be one of your most beautiful videos you guys have done. I told myself I need to see other counties besides South Korea but this just makes me want to go back for a 4th trip
I wonder if they have a count of all the lanterns they hanged? I'd be curious to know how many hundreds if not more there was. I liked how different they were depending on the temple building you were progressing through. My knees hurt for you for having to go down all these stairs after reaching the top 😅 The views were 100% worth it though.
Your vlog showcased the hidden gems of South Korea beautifully! Speaking of travel, have you heard about the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane? I believe it could be a valuable addition to your future travel adventures.
Also, I would love to visit this kind of place in the province but it didn't go well for us back in 2017 when we attempted to DIY our trip to the province.
That is a beautiful work-out!!! The monks who reach the top must be in the best shapes of their lives. ❤❤❤❤❤ How many kilometers did you 2 walk, from where the bus dropped you off? Looks like 4 kilometers to the top? Round trip =8 kilometers. At least. I would love to live there. Great for mental , emotional and physical clarity and stamina.
First, holyyyy that is some views! Temples built on top of temples it seems. Very pretty! The engineering that must have gone into building those temples literally into the mountain. How do you even do that without a flat foundation??? You sure that lunch wasn't for a family of 5? Lolol

All I can say is wow! Breathtaking views and the workmanship of the temples are gorgeous.
Wonderful photography! So cool to see such a huge part of Korean history, the stairs look killer. Thanks for the video.
