- This is a quick video on a farming strat I started using to farm in yellow maps. This strat made me a few divines early, and while it might not be the fastest it is simple and reliable! I find that essence farming is a very consistently good thing to farm. Enjoy!

UPDATE : GGG is fixing a bug with corrupting essence in the next patch! their estimate is "later today" for that patch, so we can once more farm essence of Horror, insanity, delirium, and hysteria
Hey have you considered doing a Atlas and running Maven witnesses for t14+? Spawn up to 3 bosses with all map boss effect modifiers. Pretty sure it will work with essences. Allows you do also run map boss drop synth / conq maps at decent %.

Hey Friends! Rather than an update on the build I am doing this video today sharing how I farmed the currency to 6 link my chest (even if I cant afford the 6 link mana cost :D ) . According to Ziz the best map for this strat is Volcano since the map boss is pretty easy regardless of how many essences it has on him. Great video man thanks for the tips.

You can add Alva to the maps which also spawn essences. You would get even more.

It really is! It and Maven Writ farming are usually my go-to methods. We will see if Maven writ farms hold up :D
how about Calcification?
Can you suggest best build tor farming these bosses? Other than trapper because i dont like trapper style.
Not sure what build would be best. Once you have a few million DPS it should be fine unless you really push how many essence you have.
So what you really need is survivability and damage.
Pretty much any build by Ziz will be great. RF comes to mind, but if the boss is very fast it might be annoying to chase it.
Subtractems frostblink ignite would probably do really well. (I haven't tried it, but a friend is really enjoying the build)

The more bulk you have the easier they are to sell, but since demand is low at league start (not many crafting yet) you. May need to undercut

Hey thanks for the video. I just want to ask when i use ess scarab of stability is there have a change to corrup purple ess to become Corrupted essences?
I have not done Stability myself, just throwing the idea out, but it seems like either it is bugged or changed. Others have commented saying corruption is not making corrupted essence, at least in yellow maps. Not sure if it's a bug or maybe it needs red maps, but I am leaning toward bugged

What about farming this on T1 maps? Do they drop the good essences in 3.24 as in last league?
They don't. Essences were changes so that white maps max out at shrieking, so in order to get deafening essence you need to be in yellow maps minimum

With the last method are you corrupting every essence or just the purple ones?
I do not corrupt them. Corruption does not work with the Crystal Resonance node the same way, so I do not corrupt any
Wouldn't rushing to boss and get it to low health, then re-loading and doing all the essences and then kill the boss with cull or something work??

Not sure. I don't think I could with my build, since I feel it's harder to do that with poison. Not sure if the boss heals when the essence is added either
So, i tried yesterday its MUCH, MUCH easier to do. If you take along a cull lvl 20 you oneshot the boss.
Even bosses with 9 deaf. Essences are insta kill basically.
This allows you to also level up while farming because you die a lot less.

What happens when u get the map mod "contains 2 unique bosses" ? Do both of them have all the essences?
Not sure! I don't remember running into that. I suspect not. If I remember correctly, the second boss never dropped things like conqueror maps from sextants, so I expect the same here

@@Popperce Both have essences, however its just split between the two. so you just get the same amount with or without twinned bosses
You get like half the amount of essences + you need to use scarabs essences is super nerfed
Time will tell for sure, but the big difference is we now get deafening essence in every mob. Methods before worked best with sextants so that to me is equal. It also does not account for the scarab that turns every rare into an essence

why is temporal chains level 1 only
Temp chains gives us some extra damage since it makes poison last longer.
The damage boost does not scale with level. Really no reason not to scale it other than when I switch to a temp chain corruption implicit, it is level 1, so it won't feel different
which pantheons do u use
I am currently using Brine King with freeze immunity and Gruthkul for the phys reduction. The minor is something I have been thinking about changing, but not sure yet

This happens at the beginning of every league. The price will rise as demand increases, but people are not doing big craft projects yet
i mean, depends on what you're farming for, if it's just currency sure, not that great for now, but if you want them for crafting then it's better than ever, you can get more essences than you could before right now
@@Francorocco How? Most essences are only spawning with a single essence on it despite having all the nodes. I really hate that they moved so much power off the tree into the scarabs, instead of just making them the most used sextants.

@@totallynottrademarked5279 you can farm over 30 deafening essences per map with the right setups, this is why most deafening essences sell 40+ per 1 divine, making it barely worth it when you factor in supply cost and opportunity cost
Im using stability and i still didnt get any corrupted essence or im just unlucky or stability blocks corrupted essences.

The only thing stability does is change what using essence of corruption does. So if you use essence of corruption on an essence mod it will always either upgrade the essences or transform them.
If you need to find corrupted essence then the two small nodes on the right side of the Crystal Resonance wheel will give you an extra 20 percent chance to have essence of corruption spawn for you.
@@JoespressoGaming I think he means he is trying to find the horror, delirium, insanity and hysteria essences (commonly called the 'corrupted essences').
Ahh I see. Stability shouldn't block it unless there is a big, but I cannot confirm. That said the ascent scarab might conflict with stability, so I wouldn't use both until there is more testing.
Crystal Resonance (the atlas notable) does block the corrupted essences (like horror)
I will do some testing when I can to see if I can confirm if stability is working correctly.

Lol Nah, this is the definition of day 3 of the league, and I shared the strat as soon as i figured it out.
66/132 Allocated Nodes. Where atlas full 132 nodes? Your link in atlas 66 nodes. Only 66 nodes?
That is all it takes to get all the nodes needed for the strategy. You can use the rest of the points for whatever you like.

Nah not better than ever. Before you could speed farm white maps very quickly without taking a considerable time fighting a tanky boss, and you didn't even need to use any scarabs for that as all the good effects were the atlas notables. GGG definitely nerfed essence farming very hard now. Takes more effort, more risks, more investment.
In general though you would walk away with shrieking essence. Now you might need a stronger build for sure, but now we can farm deafening like we never have before
Yep. 35c basic cost per map right now at the beginning of the league when people aren’t really crafting yet. Once things take off, lol, that scarab is going to shoot up to almost a divine like they abyss and reliquaries did back in Affliction just cause everyone will want them.
It might be more profitable, but a lot more hassle and just… weird change overall for no reason whatsoever lol.
Crystal resonance is only a negative factor until your character Can steamroll the monsters.
Edit: They’re 12c now cause the league mechanic is cracked, if terribly annoying for crafting.
Which means less people have thr capacity to farm it, and would even like to farm essence due to it being nerfed. Works out well in the end
I'm a relatively new player and loved essence farming for hours at a time last league. Got my first HH AND mageblood that way. It was amazing.
Just white maps, no scarabs, no void stones, no rolling maps, nothing. Just go go go. I guess GGG didn't like that. Too much profit for too little work.
@@rustylittle7356 it is still nearly the same. The real differences if you want to farm that way is you need yellow maps, and don't take crystal Resonance, so you can corrupt. The difference in difficulty in white and yellow maps is pretty small difficulty wise. I am with you that essence farming is great! I think the changes made it a little less profit with no investment, but made it way easier for everyone to invest in it. Scarabs are way easier to deal with than sextants imo
