Beasts can have essences in them yes. But the Scarab of Calcification converts Natural Rare monsters in your map to essences. Initially, it was counting einhar beasts as natural monsters even if you added more beasts through the atlas and scarabs. They changed it so now it doesn't count beasts as natural monsters anymore
@@MasterT_ I just tested it here and all the beasts, yellow and red, were frozen with essences, ALL OF THEM. I didn't test the Scarab of Herd, just the beasts that come in the Atlas. I believe they changed it again on the sly and didn't tell anyone.

But the way it worked was that the atlas nodes just picked already existing rares in the map and Turned them into beasts, so the monsters you would have found as normal rares in the map just turn into beasts, no additional monsters being added in. However, some people say that they found a little more essences so maybe a beast or two does get added in. You can test this by running the calcification scarab with beasts and the moment you see a Single beast with no essence monster, which is what i found before i found one or two beasts in the map with no essences in them, i concluded that it doesn't work. Even if it did give you a few more essences, i absolutely hate waiting for einhar to capture the beast so i'd rather just zoom zoom through than wait an additional 5-10 seconds per beast for einhar to catch up
Yep, but most people don't want to do that as they'd have to go buy juice and start rolling essences, hideout warrior playstyle. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just not most people's preference even though its the most profitable
However the boss does get tankier with all the essences going into the same person, so I picked strand to split the essences up. There is no fear of dying in a t6 map even if it has a bunch of essences in it for most builds, plus strand layout best layout
They patched that out im sure, no? I might be misremembering but I do remember they took out being able too additional monsters through any mechanic for the calcification scarab. The only thing that works is the Lantern Rare monsters node on the left side of the tree
When using the crystal resonance node on the atlas it removes the ability to get the special essences by corrupting. And yeah i think it is worth it because it makes the maps much faster without you needing to stop and read essences and removes the rng element because what if you just get extremely unlucky and don't hit your special essences at all

Ok I have a couple small questions, as I tried various things and checked number of essences spawned, drop numbers and so on: - Does the mod "two unique bosses" help if used with Crystal Resonance to drop more essences? I tested a map with this mod, killed exactly 1 essence monster (3deaf, 1shriek) before the bosses and BOTH ended up dropping ZERO essences?!? - Does the mod "inc. number of rare monsters" significantly increase amount of essences per map? - Does packsize significantly increase amount of essences through more rare monsters? Or does it only affect the size of each pack, not affecting number of rare?
Cheers for the questions, i'll answer them one by one to the best of my knowledge: - Adding more unique bosses to the map does not Increase the amount of essences you get through crystal resonance. For example, if you kill 10 essence monsters in a Strand map [strand naturally has two bosses at the end] it will randomly split those 10 essences between the two bosses, so they could both have 5 essences or one could have 7 and the other 3. I'm not sure what happened when you killed a single essence and the boss had none in him, did you hold alt to check if your filter was hiding it? Because in my testing I had a hunch that it wasnt sending the same tier of essence to the boss, but a random tier betwen wailing - deafening. So if you kill a mob with deafening wrath essence, it might send a wailing to the boss. Or vice versa. I thought I was just being stupid but that might be the case if your boss didnt drop any essence. - Increased number of rare monsters does increase the number of essences on the map yes, if you want to max out your maps you can alteration spam to hit inc number of rare monsters before you run your maps, however it is time consuming and its not the most common mod to hit. Works similarly with the Lantern Modifier that gives a pack % chance to become a rare monster pack. - Pack density does not affect the Number of rares, every pack to my knowledge can only have One rare monster in it. a Magic pack is a pack full of magic monsters, but a rare pack is a pack that has A rare monster in it. Imagine an entire pack of rare monsters, would be insane. Hope that answers your questions and GL bud

I used a beast turned essence for the test, so maybe essence beasts don't work with Crystal Resonance? I hope I'm wrong, and will test this tomorrow further, as I just swapped my build around to some dumb stuff for the memes :p edit: Verified that beasts in essences don't count towards Crystal Resonance for juicing bosses. I have done 3 of those beast essences before checking the boss, no essence mods on him. I killed any regular essence, and it worked as usual.

@@MasterT_ Which part is the bug? Einhar mobs being "natural inhabitants" or Crystal Resonance not working for them properly? I like myself some Essence Beasts though... they are entertainingly different ;P
Strongly recommend dropping crystal resonance, not being able to get the 4 most valuable essences isn't ideal. In my testing it's worth losing the essences on the boss and with the new essence scarab, more essences on each essence mob = more chance of a purple essence = more chance of a tier 7 essence. Ok see you took it off
I completely agree, however I wanted to do maps as fast as possible without stopping for anything. It might not seem like much but those 5 ish seconds to stop, open your inventory, smack a remnant does add up, plus remnants of corruption make the essence tankier. Also, idk if theres a way around this but the mirrored essence monsters are glued to each other so its hard to see what essences are in the one thats in the back, so you need to pause and hover your mouse on the little crack to see. Plus you also have to use one of your scarab slots for the stability scarab to have a better chance of getting the sexy essences. In the end the profits will probably end up being pretty close, with your strat being slightly ahead but I prefer the quality of life of going Hurr Durr I smash essence i leave. But i'll pin this comment if people want to corrupt essences they can do that, but alot of newer players have trouble understanding when or how to do it even if it seems easy to us.
@@glitchmf9086 Atlas tree would still be exactly the same yes, scarabs you can either use the same ones Or you can replace one of the Adversaries scarab for a Essence scarab of stability, this will raise your chances for the corrupted essence way higher, at the cost of losing alot of essence mobs in the map. If you feel lucky with your rng, stick with the initial scarab setup, if you want a little help with the rng, use the stability scarab

Nope it's complete, There are many atlas points left because we dont really need them. We just want to go in, smash essences and leave. I've left them open in case anyone wants to add any other mechanic in there like delirium or strongbox etc, but my suggestion is to not add anything and just go only for essences so that nothing else slows you down
Im looking forward to testing the strat, but ive ran 10+ t6 and t7 maps with all favorited strand excpet 1 for fields, + 2 carto scarabs with singular focus and ive dropped 2 fields so far. off to a great start lmao
Is your loot filter hiding strand? And have you taken out the voidstones? Also boost up the quant on the map as much as possible and pick up some connected map nodes on the atlas if you're getting truly unlucky
@@MasterT_ Ive got a custom filter that shows t6 maps, and im running with just one voidstone. im getting something like 1 strand every 3 strand ran with the essence strat. with running fields im getting maybe 1 strand pr fields ran on avg
@@oksbass8722 try re-favoriting all your strand maps and running with carto scarabs again on fields, ive known it to bug out once in the past so maybe its bugged out for you

It wouldnt work the way you're thinking, the atlas tree node doesnt send an essence into Every final boss, it sends one essence to any map boss. So in strand it just gets split among two, instead of all stacking in one. If you put in terrors you'll just have a bunch of map bosses with an essence or two in them

Yes it is, i've had many people running it and saying great things about it. Div prices have gone up so instead of this being 18 div an hour its around 16 now, still great for how easy and chill it is. And it doesnt rely on any big drops or too much trading
Yep, so even if you dont have all your atlas points yet you can still run this. However, i do suggest not adding other league mechanics and being fully focused on essence to not waste time and make the most currency in the least time
Essences were a great strat early in this league, but now deafening essences are pretty worthless, even if you use the harvest craft to change them into more profitable ones the difficulty of the map boss just doesn't justify the returns you get at the end. I farmed around 20ish divs easily before the prices crashed, but now its difficult to make even half of that in the same amount of time.
The map boss isn't difficult at all if you do it on strand, the essences split between the two map bosses making it much easier compared to if it was one boss loaded up with essences. and its a t6 map, lowest tier yellow, and who doesnt love strand's layout. Harvest swapping into loathing essences isnt as profitable this league yep, but people still love buying the tab in bulk, i still got a mageblood in a few hours so the profit numbers are still there
@@smarte1111 they dont attack but they still get thick and tanky if all the essences go into them, we dont have to worry about dying to it in a t6 map but just to be able to kill it as fast as possible
Did you not watch the video? The video proves the profit numbers are there over the few hours of time he put and sold his entire tab in 1 trade to buy a mageblood. 6-7 hours for a mageblood if slower than 2 mins a map is fantastic.
@@jayw3688 you sir clearly did not watch the video if you think it takes 6-7 hours if less than 2 minutes per map, if you're under 2 minutes it wont take you any longer than 4-5 hours, 5 at 2 minutes per map and 6 hours if you take 2.5 minutes per map, which you shouldnt because wyd in there for that long, get your ass moving theres more essences to farm
@@MasterT_ i did the essence tree and i took all the einhar nodes as well, so i use 2 essence Adaptation and 2 einhar scarabs, of the Herd and the duplication one..thx
@@nelusticlea6995 adaptation scarabs do not stack, and einhar monsters dont have essences in them, i suggest taking einhar off and only doing essence, if you cant afford calcification scarabs at all, then just run 3 essence scarabs and one essences are a higher tier scarab
essence monsters get very lethal and tanky with that many essences in them in high tier maps, so low tier maps is the way. Their rewards dont scale with map tier after t6 so t6 is the minimum
Singular Focus, have strand as your favored map and One fields map as your other one, run One t7 fields map with only One voidstone in your tree and use two cartography scarabs and as much quant on your map as possible, that should drop a decent amount of strand maps and the rest you sustain by running strand itself. If you see in the showcase i drop a bunch of strand maps just zooming through the map
t16 essence monsters are a lot tankier and deadlier, some are tankier than pinnacle bosses if they have soul eater. also essence rewards dont scale with quant or map tier after yellow tier, so to go faster and safer we just go scoured maps with lowest tier of yellow map which is t6
@@MasterT_ I hope this is not too much to ask but can you make a profit comparison for essence atlas strategy vs einhar memory essence strat? einhar memory is on 35c atm if the mechanics were still the same compared last league would it be a good alternative if someone cannot buy scarab of calcification?

its exactly the same except I upgraded my ag's body armour to elevated explode, and his weapon to a kingmaker. i haven't invested into the build any further Im farming for other builds

Reminder that you can run essence on volcano and the boss doesn't attack so it doesn't matter how many stack up on him.

@@nelusticlea6995 adaptation scarabs do not stack, and einhar monsters dont have essences in them, i suggest taking einhar off and only doing essence, if you cant afford calcification scarabs at all, then just run 3 essence scarabs and one essences are a higher tier scarab

Well, the scarabs work. But im not sure if you'll be able to find anyone that would want to buy essences a week or two before next league launch

what about t16s?
essence monsters get very lethal and tanky with that many essences in them in high tier maps, so low tier maps is the way. Their rewards dont scale with map tier after t6 so t6 is the minimum
how do you sustain maps?
Singular Focus, have strand as your favored map and One fields map as your other one, run One t7 fields map with only One voidstone in your tree and use two cartography scarabs and as much quant on your map as possible, that should drop a decent amount of strand maps and the rest you sustain by running strand itself. If you see in the showcase i drop a bunch of strand maps just zooming through the map
why not t16?
t16 essence monsters are a lot tankier and deadlier, some are tankier than pinnacle bosses if they have soul eater. also essence rewards dont scale with quant or map tier after yellow tier, so to go faster and safer we just go scoured maps with lowest tier of yellow map which is t6

@@MasterT_ I hope this is not too much to ask but can you make a profit comparison for essence atlas strategy vs einhar memory essence strat? einhar memory is on 35c atm if the mechanics were still the same compared last league would it be a good alternative if someone cannot buy scarab of calcification?
update: I just ran 20 maps, I invested over 5 divines worth of scarabs and I made over 16divs. so I netted 11divs.

its exactly the same except I upgraded my ag's body armour to elevated explode, and his weapon to a kingmaker. i haven't invested into the build any further Im farming for other builds
