I've been playing the build, and I am currently towards the end of Act 7 since starting mid day yesterday. It's the ONLY Flicker build I could find with a leveling POB. I've been enjoying it and how tanky it is :3

Thx for the "guide" this really helped me figure out fliker strike in general. Had been stuck in the terminus est build into farrul and i really dislike terminus est cause i can't swap out of it till farrul and it's a death fest till then whenever i don't have early luck on drops in new league. idk if ill stick to fs of power but it feels miles better than terminus est to get through the atlas.

Just from my personal use, im halfway following your route (slowly lol i cant play that much every day) but i was able to switch to Flicker at around lvl 35-40ish with Voll's Protector and rushing all the bleed crit nodes. Feels good. But now that im in the 50's and want to change out volls im having issues sustaining power charges. I think im just going to farm lab's to get gem quality to get to near 100% charge on crit.

Forgot to mention in the video : I am leveling up a Double strike of Momentum for boss fights. At 10 momentum stacks it is nearly 3m dps with no other changes

I've not played for a few leagues but I'm really enjoying this. Honestly, Faustus black market is AMAZING for gearing. I get great bases easily and or the gear just seems to roll just right or only needs a few touches

Really quick I forgot to go over the way I crafted the Sword. 1. Get an % increased Phys damage Fracture sword of T2 or better. 2. Quality 3. Essence of Zeal Spam until you get a good flat Phys damage roll (or something else that is very good) 4. If possible craft on something.

I played flicker strike way back in the breach league and had a lot of fun, although it looks like it might be an expensive build to get up and running. perhaps you could make a guide video

Loving the league so far! Might be a competitor for my favorite, but we will see. Flicker Strike feels consistent, so now its just getting through the campaign, which should be pretty quick. Thanks everyone for helping me get to affiliate on twitch!!

Ephemeral Edge CI Trickster flicker is damn near unkillable... the buffs this league make it even better.

You could always go with: Flicker Strike of Power Romira's Banquet Precise Technique Notable This'll let you infinitely sustain with any weapon til you can get crit capped and then drop the notable and ring. Not perfect by any means, but a way to get flicking through maps til you get your gear/stat situation sorted.

What would the support gems be if we were to use resolute technique?

as a fellow flicker addict who spent the last week perfecting my budget friendly flicker build that i can swap to relatively early but not do the campaign with... this is actually awesome, might try it instead of my planned league start

One thing I forgot to mention in the comparison between Affliction and Necropolis is that I had block in Affliction. Using Rearguard and dropping Olesya's and the need for Way of the poacher I think would have been much better for the build overall. Also I recorded this before the announcement where T17s were confirmed to have been changed. :D

Is this still available this league or got nerfed

I've played 4 leagues so far, not having followed a guide ever. The core thing I enjoy about poe is taking a build idea, going through the puzzle that is making it work, getting cool loot, making my character strong, and that's it. I play for 1-2 months and I just give it a rest. And last league I played in a private league with my buddies (4 people total) and it was a ton of fun. A lot more loot was meaningful, cause even if I didn't use a rare unique, a friend might. It just elevetated the experience for me, since I find trade too easy and it becomes too div/hour oriented, while ssf is way too grindy and slow progress wise.

I want my build to be a mapper. It must also be able to get the voidstones(even if I have to try a couple times each boss). So t17 to me are kind of a must even if I don't need to farm in them. Only one of my builds was able to farm t17 and that is just sad so I quit. It will prob be better this league without necropolis being mandatory even if t17 have no changes or nerfs. I loved the crafting so fucking much but the UI was bad, also corpses not being a regular drop was horrible. If I could make the league mechanic in maps optional, no type in the corpses, corpses are a regular drops and the UI in the cemetery being good league would've been awesome. This are not even big changes... You could just make a checkmark in the map if you want those extra monster with the extra mods or not(after showing you what are you getting). Corpses were turned in regular drops if you clicked and your inventory was full. The UI had some improvements middle league, also balance patch middle league? Seriously? We learned in 2014 that they are bad and should never be done unless it directly affected the servers ;/. I am really happy you enjoyed tho

Over the last few leagues I have recontextualized poe for myself. In essence: Poe is a sandbox to have fun in and comparison is the thief of joy I think the streamer, youtuber, and reddit side of poe kills a lot of fun for me. Just because people on the internet hold their builds to the standard of needing to do ubers does not mean that is the actual standard that my builds need to meet. This also came with a move to SSFHC, I no longer have expectations of my builds. The build will go as far as it goes until it dies and then I will play something else. I try to not even compare my builds to my previous characters. Every character exists in a vacuum and the only definition of doing good or bad is when compared to the same character in an earlier stage. Same thing with leagues, they exist in a vacuum. Just because I could do something last league does not mean I expect to do it this one. Every league is it's own set of balance and challenges. Poe community is very autistic and doesn't like change. But for me a more fluid mindset mixed with detaching from poe social media made the game multiplicatively more fun for me (personally)

What you're missing, is that the "if it can farm currency for the next build" requirement you stated is not binary. The scarab changes, terrible allflame stuff, t17s and ubers aren't just "bad, self-imposed player expectations", they completely warped the economy... meaning that it will now take you 10x longer to farm for that next build you want to try. You're losing out on the bits you enjoy without even knowing why, or how much you're losing because you haven't had a chance to play through the leagues that actually respected you as a player. How good the league mechanic has been hasn't really mattered that much for a while because the base game was just so solid.... and they completely gutted it in necropolis with really misguided reworks.

necropolis was so fun for me. I loved the crafting and the game play in SSF. dude, i just love PoE and I love trying out the crazy stuff they give me.

This league was good for you cause you started 2-3 leagues ago You havent exoerienced peak poe and not know what it is to miss it I wish i was in your shoes but after 16k hour trust me this league was omega shit 🫡

I did exactly 31 builds this league in 75 days. League mechanic was terrible, but this league was the league of tests and experiments with scarabs and new tree. I had a lot of fun and rly liked.
