Ohio University Marching 110 - September 17, 2011 - 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago. Nice arrangement,. Halftime of Marshall Univ game. Peden Stadium in Athens, OH.
My son is a senior in high school, a Sousaphone/Tuba player. Much love and respect for your Sousa section - those guys (and gals?) can realllly rock it. That's not easy to do with an instrument that size, but they make it look like cake. Props from a Sousa mom!!
My marching band only ever gets to be about 30 people, and we sometimes have a bit of trouble staying in step. I can't even imagine how hard it must be for this band to keep everyone together.
Our site and channel mainly specializes in HBCU band programs but I think we will make a trip up to Ohio to check you guys out! You guys can put on a SHOW!
I take personal satisfaction from this. My Jr. high band director loved the music of Chicago. The nearby high school that I went on to contained a wicked hearted director who hated both their music and the director at my Jr high. On the first day of band, this rude control freak of a director berated, insulted and brow beat everyone in the room. (we were a band of blended rivals but all knew of whom he spoke) So the tone was set for a most dysfunctional four years consecutively. Much sorrow , Mr. Stoutmeyer; you were a blessed and joyful teacher. I have no words to post here for the vile director that followed and I will not post his name. It deserves NO recognition.
I will be a senior next year, and at our school the incoming seniors choose the marching show. We chose this as one of our songs. In this recording the movements are immaculate, but I'm not a fan of this arrangement
Bro that actually wasn't good. Like the horns were straight up off beat. Specifically at 2:04 you can hear, the trumpets or whatever come in late! lol.
@@joshuachung6624 that disrespects me as a drum major. No clear view of the beat? Only 2 things you nees to know: 1) listen back for the drumline; they're always in tempo. If they slow you slow, they accelerate you acclerate to match, rather than continue with same tempo and play out of time from the loudest section. 2) watch your field commander (drum major). You'll 99.98% of the time be able to see him or her and their hands and conducting are law. They set the tempo but always watch the percussion section leader for his visual cues, so you literally have no excuse to say theres no clear time
My school's pep band plays this song all the time :)
We usually rush it, so hearing it this slowly, and actually kept in time is so odd xD
I think it's just not as good without the original tempo and key or without guitar, drums and bass
Haha we still are in pep bands
Impressive footwork. I played this in High School MB when the song was new.
you’re old

Watching this as a freshman in my first band camp, how the hell do they keep their lines so straight?!
They keep their feet in time. and they all take the same size steps
+Brendan K After two weeks of band camp I now know this, and I now understand how hard that actually is to do. A lot easier said then done.
+Sophia Lind It really is
They are Elite Players!
I like this version a lot. you should enjoy for jazz band. It is perfect song for jazz band.
bex1036 pep band too

Heads up. These guys are GOOD! Good sound and precision.
You guys must have a fantastic Band Department and Director....What a great performance!

I tried to find someone out of step. Lol. Fail. xD
This why I like playing trombone for this one song it’s fun to move a slide

We're playing this in our Jr. High band now!
My high school marching band played this a couple years ago! :D
Love it!! I think we played this too...in high school!
This one time at band camp ...
Sou Br, representando a banda marcial de santo Antônio do Jacinto, não passava de um sonho meu, que nossa humilde banda evoluice, mas hoje e tarde.

my high school is playing this this year! Wadsworth High SChool!
SO MUCH SWAG ON THIS ARRANGEMENT ... YEEN KNOW?
played this yesterday
I'm playing this next Friday. But this one has too much snare involved.
This is so cool!! ^_^
Too many bong rips for the drum line yo
0:09 what tf is that
lethal gaming vlogs haha. I have no clue.
i bet people go see the band instead of the game
TheDeadmau6 I would much rather see and hear beautiful music than watch guys tackle each other for a small ball
When I was there and the football program was awful. The stands would empty after the band stopped

geez toxic theyre really good for a marching band in a really loud stadium with no clear view of the beat.

Gotta be ohio
The most exciting band in the land pftt not The Best Damn Band In The Land tho
Musical execution sooo dirty attacks and releases not together for starters. Sloppy snares.
i thought this was ohio state...
Awful
Sloppy symbols
this is straight horrible. my high school band is way smaller, but can do better -_-
