Yeah this video confirmed my suspicion that he was accidentally using the laptop mic. I have the same Blue Yeti mic and was pretty sure it should have sounded better! It happens to the best of us.
Glad to see Gukesh and Pragg are really bringing the heat this tournament. Hope that Caruana makes a comeback though, I know how disheartened he has been since the candidates.
I was getting kinda mad at everyone for shunning pragg and focusing only towards gukesh. Pragg is a class, I always knew he has unmatched genius and performs better at higher level of chess. For me, pragg is the only contender at high level chess from India.
was just watching the game lol, this guy is amazing... I mean i did expect a video from u about this game but this fast... Also, gukesh did lose the game but nodirbek played great game, that game also deserves a mention.
@@ayushmanjindal3622 yes, and he lost from that position. Winning in itself is tough, but to make a comeback from almost -4 is great any way u look at it.
@@ayushmanjindal3622 dude ofcourse I am an Indian and I support Guki but Nodirbek just like that made an unbelievable comeback and he is deserving a mention
@@sekhar018 Gukesh didn't have a tough time. He was completely winning at one point and should've won comfortably before Pragg but a couple of bad moves and a brilliant resistance from Nodirbek pushed Gukesh further and in the end, he blundered under time pressure. Tough loss for Gukesh but a brilliant win for Nodirbek who won from a completely lost position.
Damn that bishop was annoying. Props to Praggu not just for the good chess, but for being patient and not going on tilt. Anyone know the penalty for picking up one of your opponent’s pieces and chucking it across the gaming hall?
i am an audiophile and am really choosy about my audio but I'd still watch it multiple times even if u made a video in a echo chamber lol these videos are classic Antonio
The fact that you have been providing the community consistently with fantastic content over the years really trumps the silly mistake of having MOUNTED IT UPSIDE DOWN. ;)
@@panda4247 In the previous videos it really sounds like he mounted his mic upside down. (Very bad voice quality but extremely clear clicking from the mouse...)
@@stache53 ah, you mean that... I think that was because he forgot to set the external microphone as his input device and recorded from the internal laptop mic. Or he used the external mic, but in omnidirectional mode. I thought you were implying that the mic SHOULD be pointing downward and he has it upside down.
The problem started from 03:10 Sindarov should've played Bxa2 instead of Rxa2 and then reposition the bishop back somewhere along the diagonal and offering the rook trade on a8 instead of having his pieces unguarded on the enemy's field :/ And then on 05:30, Sindarov should've played Qe7 protecing the rook, then whatever Prag would've played, just move the king to the safe position, if Qxa2, then black can simply take back with Rxe2... I'm not sure if I overlooked anything but I don't think I do lol Anyway I'm analysing this while comfortably laying down on my bed and my ELO isn't that high yet since I just started on chess.com last week 🤣 so probably the condition there made the players nervous and can't think as optimal as they normally should on casual circumstances 🤧
At 5:30 if you move to Qe7, you leave the bishop undefended. (Ra1 threatens it) and if you push the pawn to attack the queen, the queen can just move diagonally and still threaten the black rook. If you move your queen back to its first place, you basically lose because after rook takes the black bishop the queen captures the white bishop, leaving the black rook undefended and which results in a check. Scenario 2 after a quick recheck, the bishop can capture the pawn at b5 after the queen moves to e7. This saves you a little time but you still can't move your rook since it's pinned. With this advantage you can probably execute scenario 1 after Bxb5.
I suspect the audio issue was due to the mic recording being from the computer, and not the one we see in front of Agad. But hey, everyone blunders from time to time, don't we?
Gukesh raise expectations to such a level that he felt pressure of 1.4 billions expectations. He couldn't handle it. He will learn from it. Waiting for Antonio's analysis of it. Cheers to rising 🌟🌟🌟🌟

about the audio thing..... were you using your webcam mic by accident? That's hilarious lol, happens to the best of us Edit: mic, not mike. I hate autocorrect
The bishop on a2 reminds me of a certain game of Anand's that was around a single trapped bishop. I think it was against Lautier in the Scandinavian, but I don't know the game or the year. Does anyone know?
I was wondering how many videos would go before you notice that you were using the laptop (?) microphone 😀. Who cares anyway, thanks for all your recaps!
My friend. Your videos are always great. But in this game you had a couple of moments to show a white win that you didn’t explore. Like when white could have played Rd2 to finally trap the bishop on a2. I believe the right moment for that was just before white played Qc3. Also, you stated that once the white king got to the h2 square that black could not play Qxf2 because white would respond with QxR but also QxQ would be better. But still I do love your channel and it’s always my daily go to. Keep up the good work.
It's called en passant, if white has a pawn in the 5th row, and black advances one of the paws two squares, the white pawn can take it as if the black pawn had only moved one square. Im not an english speaker, so maybe i wasnt clear
Worth mentioning that this move is only allowed once, when the pawn passes another pawn like that, if the other player doest take on the immediate turn, it can't be done on next moves.
