    00:00 Hello Everyone!
    The 2022 FTX Crypto Cup sees Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Liem Le, Hans Niemann and Praggnanandhaa gather in the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida for the 2nd Major on the $1.6 million Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. $210,000 and a $100,000 Bitcoin bonus is at stake in the 7-round all-play-all tournament. Each match consists of 4 rapid games on the chess24 Playzone, with the winner earning $7,500 (3 points). If the match is tied there's a blitz tiebreak, with 2 blitz games followed, if needed, by a single Armageddon game. The winner earns $5,000 (2 points) and the loser $2,500 (1).
    For each rapid game the players have 15 minutes for all their moves, with a 10-second increment after each move. For blitz games it's 5 minutes and a 3-second increment, while for the Armageddon game White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

    After Nxf6 and Bxf6, you can give up the rook and capture the bishop because if black takes the rook, the pawn can't be stopped.
    Edit: Okay, I see the problem. You don't need to stop the pawn, because at the end of it all, Rxf5 is a fork and white can't keep the queen.

Level 1 access should have been good enough.. tried to withdraw and got a message "Cannot make this withdrawal" started a ticket.. they said I was flagged for fraud. I had first tried transferring a small amount to verify the ledger was working. They said they could not fix it and I had to upgrade to Level 2.. which I did.. and I get the same result. I am unable to get my crypto off of the exchange. I asked for an explanation as to why my reasonable activity was flagged in the first place, they gave me none. Instead of worrying about chess, maybe they should serve their customers. They have not responded to any of my questions in the last 2 days and have done nothing to restore my access for withdrawal.

    Actually in the pause the video moment, we can just capture the bishop after Nxf6+, as if Kxe4 taking the rook, we simply push f7 and the passed pawn cannot be stopped.

      It doesn’t work because black rook takes pawn with check after promotion

    10:19 after gxf6 kxe4 can you push the f pawn and it becomes unstoppable? how is that not winning

      That’s what I was thinking as well. I assume you just don’t take the rook and play against white’s worse pawn structure and play Rf3 or something

    • @cookie1739
      @cookie1739 2 года назад

      Rf3 because then after promoting there is a check and you have to give up your queen for the rook and the pawn endgame is winning for black

    10:12 I was thinking that here white could play g5:f6 and if black Kd5:e4 f6-f7 and the pawn promotes!

  • @nathandidier5709

    After kxf6 and bxf6 (9:30 in video), why not recapture with the pawn and allow the rook to be taken by the king? Next move would be f7 and there's no way to defend against promotion. Anyone else see what I see???
