      I wonder if there should be some sort of incentive to declining a draw. Gugesh started the repeating sequence, he was the one who got Fabi into the situation where he had no good moves. Maybe a draw by repetition should be 0.6 for Stsrting the sequence and 0.4 for accepting it. It’s more interesting when players act like Fabi did and choose not to repeat and keep on fighting

    Amidst all praise for Gukesh which is very well deserved, let's reserve a lot of praise for top players like Fabi and Magnus. Chess is an individual game but here it's a team game. if your team is losing you have to go for a win and that means playing sharp, equal chance of a loss and loss of rating points. It is incredibly underappreciated.

    • @vv6533
      @vv6533 2 года назад

      Gukesh always plays for the win. One should not see other team players performance first and then decide to take risk. Taking risks should be the default mode. Tbh it's because of Gukesh, India 2 is competing for medals. He understands this very well and hence plays aggressively

    • @yajurVeda
      @yajurVeda 2 года назад

      @@vv6533 it maybe your strategy that taking risks should be default mode, not everybody's. That said I understand your opinion, but again Fabi could have easily drawn here. I am not taking an inch from Gukesh but I'm giving an inch extra to the top rated guys. That's all.
