Dotnet is the worst language in top 10 that is why you have to say it is in top 10. :D If you are new to industry dont choose this language or anything made by microsoft. Microsoft always changes its technology and make all the previous versions obsolete. Any logical person will not like this rote learning of using libraries per each version. Microsoft itself is an enemy of its own technology . It doesnt extend things. it creates a new thing each and every time. There. is hell lot of libraries written by microsoft that coder doent feel it is coding. It is mere copy paste of things. Such extensive libraries they write and each time creates new things , that once you enter in dotnet , you will never feel confident that you know it. Dotnet developers just use the code of microsoft developers to create apps. You are replacable if you use it. I am saying this as i have worked for 6.5 years on it and left it. Every single task you want to do is cumbersomer. you will have to mug up long long names of classes you have to use . 😄😃

@@surendrabisht2523 lmao, name a framework where this is not true. Looks like you don't understand how framework works. The framework is not the USP, the USP of dotnet is C#. C# might be very verbose and cumbersome byt trust me the features it offers, specially with C# 12 is lacking in most languages even in Java. And the whole world is coming back to strongly typed languages for better debugging and hence why typescript 8s preferred over javascript. FRAMEWORKS DON'T MATTER. All frameworks are mostly based on copying and pastinf code.

Data Science is a journey. If you have a break going back to Development and then starting from there is a good way to get into IT. Other options are to get into QA or Business Analysis Side. First find out what it is like to be in a IT company before you switch.

With .NET the best product based companies would be Microsoft. It will require you to clear some Microsoft Exams and work directly for MS. They have the best .NET products. And I agree with you that you will find a much less product companies with .NET. Not that they are not there. There will be 1000s of companies who go with MS Stack. But you will have to search.

IMHO I have worked with MS stack since 1997. Infact I owe my career to MS technology. So I don't agree with what you have said above. There are a lot of companies using .Net and you will never be out of work if you know these technologies. Infact with Azure there is a huge demand that is not getting fulfilled because people have started moving away from .Net. Best is as I always say learn what you like the best.
