I'd go with Top Gun: Maverick, though some may have the argument that Terminator 2 could be classified as a legacy sequel.. so maybe that?
Fantastic Review, Sully! I get where everyone is coming from.. but hot take: I enjoyed the hell out of this one. As a fan of Afterlife, this did give me everything I was really looking for to another Ghostbusters film, though that 'Who you gonna call' joke at the beginning was amazing lmao
I'm a HUGE fan of the original films. Ghostbusters 2 is a very underrated sequel, and I enjoyed Afterlife. I agree with your assessment of Frozen Empire, it was jammed with too many characters, not enough character advancement, too much nostalgia bait, and an underwhelming feeling. Good stuff as always bro!

Frozen Empire was enjoyable at times for me but overall just "ok" from someone who loved Afterlife. My favorite Legacy sequel is Blade Runner 2049! Great work Sully! :)
Yeah it’s just too jam packed with nostalgia bait, surface level characters, and plot lines. Huge bummer after getting Afterlife a few years ago. Thanks for watching, Josh!
There was enough Ghostbusters fun to be had that I walked out having had a good time!
Top Gun Maverick is definitely solid choice. For me it would probably be Halloween 2018 or Doctor Sleep. I've got my fingers crossed for Beetlejuice 2 and Constantine 2 to be up there as well.

100% agree, im a big ghostbusters fan, when you watch the trailer you think ok, the death chill is gonna freeze new york and the world and the rest of the film is gonna be the ghostbusters saving the day. I'll have to watch it again but im gutted.
Yeah the choices they made with the story were a huge bummer. I really wanted half of the movie to be spent in this frozen tundra version of New York City, there’s so much they could’ve done with it. But here we are…Thanks for watching, Chris!

Good review man, I've been hearing this film is disappointing, which is a massive shame. I'm still going to see it for myself though and I do hope to enjoy it, but I'll definitely go in open minded

I liked it for what it is. It’s a movie about ghostbusters for Christ sakes. I mostly like that it was a cohesive story and it respected the previous films. Sure there was some parts I thought was unnecessary but overall a good go. I kinda like the r&d division added.
Yeah I def agree with you it’s for me a mixed bag especially with the choice they do for Phoebe character who I really enjoyed in the previous movie and the movie taking a long time to really kick things into gear still a good movie but def the weakest in the franchise great review man

This was pretty bad. It’s time to let the old characters go. The frozen premise was such a small percentage of the film. They don’t do enough with the scenario like you said.
