I know, the wood construction is not so heavy, and there is no any load on top of it, but i would add some kind diagonal bracing

The pad itself is rock-solid. I would have added a bit more diagonal bracing to the cage sections. That said, for what it was being used for, it was quite sturdy.

Is this to scale? The drawing at 4:40 in....you say the blocks are 2x8x16 but they are bigger than the 18x18 better hockey tiles. The long side of the block should be two inches shorter than any of the tiles. The drawing makes it look like the blocks are 18x25

Not perfectly to scale no. I tried my best but without using CAD software, it would be difficult to be exactly to scale. Sorry.

What are the dimensions for the netting?

The netting was ordered in two custom-sized pieces:
      - Piece 1 (sides and top) - 367 inches x 96 inches
      - Piece 2 (back) - 115 inches x 137 inches

@@coachsimon4472 Thanks for the quick reply. Have you had any issues with water sitting on the platform/tiles and not draining? If not, how did you address the issue? We're using your videos as a guide and plan on building the shooting pad over the course of the next couple of weeks.

A few things we did to manage drainage. Ensure to build the platform with a slight pitch to direct water off the pad. Built the pad to have natural seams in between floor panels to let water drain. However, these measures will never prevent some water from standing on the shooting tiles. As a final measure, we bought an industrial squeegee and kept it close to get any leftover water off the tiles. Worked well for us. Good luck with the project and check out the other parts of the video series for full details on the build. Happy to answer more questions too. Good luck with your project!
