Hi Nina - I liked your reaction to WWAFAWDWG and I thought HTE wasn't as engaging for you; however, I believe "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" is - perhaps - not as directly intriguing as "FEVER" or "What Was I Made For?" for a Vocal Coach, but if the musical experience and listening comes first before critique then this WILL engage you - Billie is involved in the production - it isn't just Finneas. I'm 70 - I hope you get to it, before I'm too old to care. Besides you've always been more than fair to Billie [P.S. I don't want to ruin anything for you, but I don't much care for the 2nd part of L'amour de ma vie - though many do ... and when you get to "Bittersuite" do not think only hotel "suite", but also MUSICAL SUITE, the title also implies that as in Peer Gynt Suite.] "Lunch" is fun and playful - but "Chihiro, Bittersuite, and Blue are masterful and beautiful as is Skinny - "Birds of a Feather" is also terrific; so is the Greatest. I'm of a mixed mind on The Diner - I wonder how Sarah McLachlan ["Angel"] hears the song.
In an interview, Billie and her brother said that the song wasn't sexual, it was about one person having control over another. The song was all metaphors. Not about a girl with a girl .
It may not be sexual but the smoothness of the beat and vocal delivery and the obvious innuendos show that while Billie and Finneas didnt write the song with a sexual intention, the tongue-in-cheekiness was definitely "ok we may not have written it to be sexy but its definitely sexy".
That's great. You are enjoying Billie Eilish's music. But maybe you should let her finish singing in the video. Then talk after that's my opinion, but enjoy.

The album is a concept album in the classical 70ies, 80ies sense. The main melody theme from Lunch reappears in different ways in other songs, songs blend into eaxh other thematically and melodically, especially the last four songs. In a nutshell: it must be listened to as a whole to be fully appreciated, not as individual songs.
Today is the first time I’ve watched a reaction video of yours and I have to say…. On this and Sydnie Christmas (of what I’ve watched so far) of your breakdowns, your explanation of the secrets in the sauce… is awesome. Your evaluation is the most accessible and grounded in knowledge that I’ve felt like I’m learning a lot from your explanations…. I told my husband before that these vocal coach videos are like looking behind the curtain and being shown how a great singer does everything purposefully… nothing is an accident which takes some of the magic away but at the same time adds in the appreciation of technique and ability beyond what I hear as a casual listener.
