KoA was one of my favourite games and I still sometimes play it to this day. When I got the game, I already knew the company was struggling. I got the game on console and on Steam and later got Re-Reckoning on Steam. That's how good this game was and is to me.
I've played half of it on 360 then I played the PS4 Re-Reckoning version and for this video I played through Re-Reckoning again on steam. Imo PC is the best place to play it. Especially with its 2x graphical upscaling.
Build the character right and you can easily max out all 9 skills all you have to do is pick jack of all trades build buy ten skills from trainers and find all nine skill books and when you hit rank six of the jack of all trades build you get a bonus of 27 skill points 3;to each skill
Looking at DA The Veilguard, they could very well evolve KA ReReckoning into a sequel. Improve aspects of the game and keep more action RPG elements than the BioWare guys did. Of course, knowing how to balance expectations and budget.
So true,it's been such a great game when released, worth playing even in 2024 without a doubt-not just a simple hack&slash as there are lots of builds and play styles here.A real Gem
Just picked it up today and absolutely enjoying this game it’s an absolute blast. Question tho is there way to respec your skill points if you end up not liking your build?
Se vuoi imparare le conoscenze e apprendere le guide per arrivare o superare il mio grado ti offro dei video che dimostrano quello che nessuno ha raggiunto
This game has a pretty sad backstory to the original developer that created it, but the new version of it makes it definitely worth a try. Only gripe is how the areas work. You enter a new area and that’s the level it will scale to and if you leave and come back later, those enemies will be your old level and be overly too easy and kinda boring.
It has a slight scaling in each area with the remaster. They removed the level cap from the original so now the area it has a base level but if you leave and come back it slightly scales up.
I reinstalled this recently, and NOPE, mechanically it barely stands up. The rolls are akward, the feedback on many weapons is underwhelming, and even in the remaster the graphics don’t look great. Sorry. But I guess there’s no accounting for bad taste.
After having done a second playthrough now, of re reckoning and tackling the new DLC... well I can say I agree generally but a lot of the sidequests are pretty generic/boring in the base game, there are stand outs though, and any faction type task is usually a grade above too ! That said nobody should use blacksmithing lol, far more fun to use set items & find good uniques (purples) imo
If you put a crafting system in the game, there's no need for me to do a whole line of secondary missions knowing that the legendary armor I'm going to get is worse than crafting armor.
i devoured this game back in the day. sunk 30 hours alone in the first zone. my gripe was the dungeons sucked, they were all so generic and bland. The overworld was so much better. I also got hogwarts legacy and it immediately felt similar
I haven't finished Hogwarts legacy I bought it on PS5 and my file got corrupted and I couldn't continue and lost all motivation to play it. I do agree about most of the dungeons. I actually wish I had brought that up in my video.
Yeeeeah boy I never got very far on this because at the time of playing I never actually had anything to play it on permanently and I’ve not revisited it YET. But it defo scratched my Warcraft/skyrim itch for sure , didn’t wanna contribute to a subscription service game so never played wow and wasn’t feeling the first person aspect of Skyrim so reckoning was dope imo
I definitely prefer this to Skyrim. IMO Skyrim dumbed down character creation massively by removing class selection, and skill selection from character creation., and they made the idiotic choice of wanting the player character to choose a side in a war but giving them a great reason to hate one side in the first few minutes of the game. Plus IMO the combat in this is much better then any Elder Scrolls game so far.
I like both games but I personally also prefer this game to Skyrim. I connect to its gameplay and build making a lot more. I do think that they both have a good sense of freedom but KOA gives you more of a reason to work with every faction and hear there stories and delve into there missions. The combat is also miles better
Don't sleep on bows; they're somewhat slow to get going and seem very weak early game, but they're quite possibly the most damaging weapons late game. On top of that, they also have shotgun capabilities.
@@IAmVehement Most things are weak in the beginning, but especially ranged in particular. For instance, sceptres in end-game is just brutal - pew-pew-pew and everything is dead. But at he start of the game sceptres are mere silly-sticks. Either way, I recommend getting to level 18-20 any way you please, and then use a Fateweaver to respec at that point. You should have access to proper levels of Blacksmithing at that point as well to fully complement the switch.
Makes sense. I also noticed while playing through a lot of the exotic and higher leveled bows seemed pretty op with there stats. I'm not much for magic in games but I have heard the sceptres go pretty hard too.
@@IAmVehement If you really want to make a bow build and make the most of it (min-max'ing), I'd recommend the following: 1) Race: Varani or Dokkalfar with Belen as patron god. 2) Aim for the Blademaster destiny, but prioritize getting the full bow line of abilities and after that your aim is Battle Frenzy. 3) Make use of all trainers to ensure you have as high as possible Alchemy, Blacksmithing and Sagecrafting levels (you can make skill increasing potions with Alchemy). 4) Buy Everlasting and/or Damaging components from Didenhill, Ysa, House of Valor and Camp Moondown whenever you get access to these places. 5) Once you get Blacksmithing high enough to use gems as components, make utility gems with +7% Crit Chance. 6) Get to level 40, but don't clear the final main quest. Instead go through Dead Kel to get access to Gravehal Keep and unlimited components via Diplomacy missions. A buffer of Flawless Everlasting and Damaging components is your goal here. 7) Clear the final part of main quest, continue through Fatesworn and level to 50. After completing Fatesworn, you'll get access to the endgame arena. Clear rounds until you get Despoiler and Fatesworn crafting components. At this point you can go back to Gravehal to get Flawless Mitharan Damaging components and make your final endgame crafted set items with the rewards from the arena. 8) Grind out all of the Chaos gates to get the highest rank of Chaos Thrall and then craft your endgame monster bow. 9) Other things to complement; explore the full map of Teeth of Naros to get a Twist of Fate with +1 to all Finesse abilities, gamble for accessories with Warlord modifiers. ... Otherwise, feel free to cherry pick any of the above to suit your preference. Cheers! =)

hello.i play this game recently. i wanna ask: is it possible to get purple armor or weapon in blacksmith, because i always get green and sometimes blue armor?
Sadly you can't make purple gear however at higher blacksmithing level and higher grade gear your items will still be 10x better then most gear you get in the game anyway.

I've still gotta play through Skyrim. I've played a bit of it and beat it when I was pretty young but I pretty much only b lined it through the main story so I didn't ACTUALLY experience Skyrim in my opinion. However Witcher 3 I've played through twice and loved every second of it. Tbh I agree that KOA RR deserves to be up there with the greats.
Gameplay was fun but the story is very meh. The world is dull, no sense of immersiveness and dialogue is simplistic. You can wipe Skyrim from history and this game still has no chance.
I think the main story has some short comings but if you focus on the overall narrative with the side quests and the faction quests the story holds up. I also love the world too. However if that's how you feel you have full right to that opinion!
I know its janky. I know its silly. I know Skyrim is probably overall better. I know it has many flaws. But this is the game for me. Its the only game I have put over 600 hours in and keep returning to it over and over. I had it when it first came out, I had it thru PS Plus, and when I found out it was on Switch, I got it again and sunk more hours into it than I ever had. I have no regrets. This is the perfect game for me.

KOA is one of my favorite games ever made. But, its nowhere near being one of the greatest games ever made unfortunately. It becomes extremely clear almost immediately that its just solo wow, which was the intention of the devs. Once you leave the forest area, the game has become incredibly stale and its offline mmo gameplay becomes boring. Theres one main quest in the desert area where you have to run (no mounts btw) genuinely an hr in every single direction over and over and over again. Sadly this hidden gem of a game is plagued by that. So every time i play it, i get burned out and a yr later when i decide to pick it up again... i cant remember where i left off so i start over and its just rinse and repeat. Its a shame, because if they just added mounts like you get in wow, the game would be sooo much more tolerable.

Amalur actually did very well. Unfortunately the development was so expensive that the game had no chance to be financially successful.
The dev was so outlandishly expensive that they would have needed to sell a life changing amount of copies to have helped the hole they dug themself.
