    If autogas is available in your area, get a cheap fill adaptor on eBay. You'll be able to fill up the propane tank from an autogas pump which usually costs less

    We ended up putting in an "ExtendaStay"(?) kit so we can run our Class A off of smaller bottles. Took out our original generator (Onan 5500 - $3500.00!) & converted that bay to hold our two propane tanks and a Champion dual-fuel (propane or gasoline) inverter generator (model 100263, $700. 59dBA!). :)

      @@theboonboxers by avoiding the Ethenol Gasoline as a fuel option we get no "gummi g" of the carburator (a consistent issue for small gasoline engines.) But be advised the normal "3400" surge watts on gasoline will only be "3020" or so w/propane. We still have enough to power our two ACs in our 30AMP coach.

    I noticed a tray where all the line come inside the truck. Is this for condensation from the propane lines or something? Just a thought on you propane tank, what if you cut a hole the diameter of the base of the tank (the ring on the bottom, not the entire tank) and used that to gain the heigh to tip the tank upright? Then you do not need to modify the tank and can use and replacement as needed, and it will hold the tank in place as well. You may then want to screw a pie plate (or something as ready made) underneath the box if worried about road dirt etc getting in.

      hmm... good ideas! We personally haven't found it too difficult to find places to fill up the tank it's also cheaper. I think the real move is to do an undermount 40lb or so tank, but those can get pricey!

    Thank you. So when you travel, you disconnect the hose that is directly attached, and leave all the other hoses as is?

    It looked like your propane regulator is mounted wrong theres a drain on them that has to face down or it will fail premature also inside is there is co2 detector because if your heater fails your in trouble ! I actually fix rv's for a living and if it was mine id mount regulator so drains always facing down

    • @theboonboxers
      @theboonboxers  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the info! It's mounted almost sideways when it is in position, I'll look into it. But yeah I dumbly didn't include a good shot of our CO2 and fire detector, but we do have a good one that digitally reads even low levels
