"BUILT FROM FREE TRASH"- A Tiny House van/truck conversion home
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 май 2024
- Two builders convert a moving truck into a tiny house and mobile reuse education center. Using almost nothing but reused, repurposed and dumpster-dived materials, their triumph over junk showcases the endless benefits of the reuse life. Through creative (and even comical) solutions, the film proves that almost anything we need to thrive in our daily lives already exists in abundance.
Here is a quick tour glimpse of the truck- one that Alex Eaves has now lived in for over five years. Built and designed by Derek "Deek" Diedricksen and Eaves, this truck is the star of the documentary film "The Box Truck Film: Building a REUSEful Home"- which is available just about everywhere. #vanconversion #tinyhouse #tinyhome #cabins #repurpose

✨This is such an underrated RUclips channel ✨❤️❤️❤️
Agreed
Thanks- RUclips has punished the heck out of it several times for false flags, so thanks for watching!
Stoked to share this with your community. I still can't believe we paid $X for the build!
how about a rooftop tent on top??? 😊😊😊
Love this long term project and thankful for the update! 🙏
@@rooftoptentliving The roof is definitely too thin for that!
@@rooftoptentliving Love rooftop tents, but this one is a little thin/flimsy
This is the first home I've seen that has the eaves on the inside!
Way, cool I would love to have one of those trucks to live in.
Not nearly as expensive as you'd think. Buy used. Thanks for watching!
My dream home...no lie.🙏🏻❤🤞🏻
I dream in this home. Ha.
@@alexeaves Of "Veggie Galaxy" and wax pack openings.....
@@alexeaves that's awesome😁
Heck yeah! Love this project. 🤘🤓🤘
thank you so much- def check out the movie if you have a chance
What I like about the design is the placement of the bathroom. It creates separation between the "office" and the living area, creating two separate "rooms".
It definitely feels that way.
Yeah, that was the exact intent- all without chopping up such a small space
Love the repurposing. As the tiny house movement has progressed, the notion of reusing has gotten lost, you guys keep this idea alive.
Thanks so much. Yeah, it just makes good sense- "use what ya' already got"
I definitely agree. I will always have that element at the forefront.
I just watched the documentary about the "Tiny House Van/Truck ". How awesome !
THANK YOU! Appreciate it!
DEEK MADE ME COMMENT!
I threatened to spill Mountain Dew on his slabbed comic collection if he didn't.
That's an incredible build at an incredible savings 🤟
Thanks!
Love it. Very interesting build, well done.
Who knew trash could be so beautiful and so damn cool. ❤
Thanks!
I can't express enough how much I love this
thanks! Def check out the movie- its free on many streaming platforms
I've been drawn in with nomadic and alternative living for a few years now. I absolutely want to do a build in a box truck. Heading over to check out that movie....thanks for the share and adventure on my friends...
Hope you liked the film!
Creative, colorful, inviting, and efficiently made. Kudos to you both!
Thank you!
Nice,,, love the colors in the office!
Yeah, Its Alex's house, but we both dig blues and orange. Thanks for checking it out
I love this, I kinda did the same with one of my horse trailers, which I have been living in full time now for 7 years, on the road doing seasonal work and I have a blue-heeler named Comanche-Girl who lives with me.I will see the movie and I am a big fan of relaxshacks, I keep one of the micro shelters books on display in my horse trailer/tiny house.
That sounds amazing!
I did get to watch the movie. And about your Covid guest. Great going Guys👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
It just makes me smile!❤
How I envy these people, they live in a world of opportunities, first world countries and yet they manage to inflate their ego with the fact that they can do things with "garbage" of course in a place where "garbage" is almost new and completely reusable. What they don't show in the video is that many people throw away semi-new things and generate a lot of trash. Here in my Mexico, if someone throws away a piece of furniture, they throw it away already rotten, pissed, or in a bag of dough because it falls apart, I would like them to try to do something. with real garbage.
Wow! What a great build! I love it!😊
Thanks!
Very cool stuff here!
Thank you!
I enjoy your projects!!
VERY COOL😎👍

That is awesome! Is there a way to get a take home sheet. Ex can I send SASE to get one or is there somewhere I can download one?
I believe there might be- maybe Alex can chime in here....
We're you able to see how to get a take home sheet? Thanks
What type of heater is that?
Envi is the brand
@@alexeaves thank you
Very nice way to reuse stuff to make a whole home on wheels. Thrift store finds are what I use for my day camping excursions. I did notice, though, ANOTHER stove situated on top of wood, and under, more wood. Why is this so common in these van builds? Why is it not taken into consideration before the build, the danger a heat source can cause a combustible material that, over time, expands from heat and can catch fire at just 200 degrees Fahrenheit?! Would you have your stove at home surrounded by wood? No, because stoves are made of metal, all the way around, and above fans that are encased in metal, too. Suggestion. Shop around at Thrift stores like I did until you find a metal, whatever, that finds your little cooktop. It's better to be safe than sorry later on.
It's a small hot plate type stove- used- they're designed to sit atop just about anything and have a small amount of air or clearance space beneath them. It's been in use for over 5 years and there isn't so much as a heat mark on the counter from it.
