I saw James Hall live in 1989 with the incredible band Matt My Hope. The very next day I went out to get the album… I still have two copies of it plus the EP.

I will never forget seeing this guy play to a half empty tent at a festival over ten years ago. I've never seen anyone perform with so much energy, in a state of frenzy. Amazing.

Well as things have gone full circle I am sure you can see him these days playing to even smaller crowds on the bar and clubs circuit.

He was awesome in NY too. he hit himself in the face with the mic and almost fell of the stage while playing the trumpet, SO intense, I've never seen anything like it,

I was starting to think I just imagined this song lol. I'm on a nineties music binge and a small part of this song popped in my head so I typed "illingness", thanks google!

This guy should have been more popular. He is so good. Reminds me a little of Lenny Kravitz

This whole album is excellent, yet it seems like hardly anyone got the chance to hear it. Geffen really fucked up with this one. I'm shocked to see that any videos were even made from Pleasure Club. Still great after all these many years...
