After seeing all these films, we KNOW that good old Jason Bourne always pranks someone in the end, and you hear Weeee Weeee. It's not a surprise anymore :)

This is one of those very few instances where the song fits so well with the ending that you are led to believe it's been written especially for this movie.
In conclusion, its worth it. Through everything, the wars, the pain, the insanity. Its all worth it, even an early trip to the grave. And that's what it means to be radical. Nothing will stop you, deter you, or make your change your mind. Pain on the level of knee capping will not even budge you. You saw me back in may of 23', that was worse than anything I could have imagined. Excruciating pain that would have buckled anyone. But I am not just anyone. I am born, which to me is not only a separate class unto itself but boys with iron will that sprint to the firing line. They don't just walk or half ass it. They go to completion.
The ending of this song captures the essence of the character. Solitary, scarred and always alert. The path towards redemption has not been completed yet. It may demand a last mission. A last sacrifice, perhaps. In the meantime, Jason Bourne keeps wandering like a ronin, a lone warrior, trying to survive and in search of meaning. More clues about his true self and purpose. Always alert. Always two steps ahead.
My mum ,rip , used to love the Bourne trilogy of movies at the cinema but refused to leave her seat until Extreme Ways by Moby had finished playing at the end. She had no idea who Moby was or knew anything about his music. She just loved this track. I tend to agree with her.

Those Bourne Movies define the term BADASS!!! And Matt Damon's stoicism and dark onscreen presence as Jason fit the mood perfectly. I would replay a Bourne Ending on my Satellite TV and DVR just to hear Moby's Extreme Ways more than once. FANTASTIC!!!

Funny how life just presents you with these character arcs . Often in the times of self reflection and hardship . The lyrics describe who I am and i don’t think it’s mere coincidence that someone like me would come across this so randomly . What a fantastic song .
For some it's the Mission Impossible series, for some it's the James Bond franchise and for a lot of people it's the John Wick movies that do it for them. But no matter what, for me it'll always be the Bourne series that'll have the highest replay value among all these.
I totally agree! Unfortunately, the Bourne series was not able to find it's second wind. John Wick is still riding it's initial wave, but series like James Bond and Mission Impossible have been able to exceed the popularity of their first few movies. I really hope that the same can happen with Bourne Series because those movies are so close to my heart.
I love the Mission Possible series and the Ethan Hawke character especially in the last few installments, but Jason Bourne is top tier. It just feels so real and immersive
Jason Bourne trilogy always have special place in my heart. I guess people like tonsee hitngirls, gadgets and cars. JASON Bourne doesn't have that lol. He fights alone with any weapon he can find sometime he fights with bare hands. Aline without past when everyone is after you. I got high respect for him. I have not watch John wick though 😂 I think if holywood start to ditch woke nonsense people trust will restore.

May 2024. Same here. The trilogy is still a blast. The fourth one was ok. The fifth one I couldn't even finish. A disgrace of the Bourne franchise to me, nothing more. A bit of fanfiction: I think Bourne should've paired up with Nicky as a hacker sidekick, tear the government to shreds, erase his files and get his happy ending after all. NOT CONSIDER TO WORK WITH THEM AGAIN AFTER IT MADE HIM LOSE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE HE LOVED INCLUDING HIS OWN IDENTITY, FFS! The ending scene could've been smh like where one official finds some remnant records of Treadstone and the other one tells him to drop it if he wants to work smoothly and doesn't want to go after his predecessors, telling some exaggerated stories about Bourne like a some sort of Boogeyman ). I'm not a screenwriter at all, but I don't really see *anything* that would fit worse then what was finally put in there...
That scene in Ultimatum where Bourne's lying still in the water, then when he moves, the sirens of this song kicks in , oooffff left me wantimg more. I couldmt think of a better theme than what Moby did for this movie
Ive fallen asleep in every bourne movie in the theater and at home. I have never been able to sit through one without dosing off. Idk why, those movies are soothing, i dont think their boring just make me sleepy.

There is something about the music and the voice that evokes a sensation of knowing the character of the film as if it were real, even if you don't pay attention to the lyrics. That's pure talent!

Its a great song no doubt, but nothing comes close to the theme song from Godfather 1 and 2. Although the original Star Wars movie back in ‘77 was epic.
I saw the 5th Jason Bourne movie in Taiwan, sadly there wasn't anyone but me and my mates who stayed till the credits just for this song. Feel bad for all the people who missed such a epic song ;(
It wasn't trash. It only showed the human side of Jason Bourne, wanting to know who's behind his father's death. Sadly, not all people enjoy this song like us. I played it once with my speakers on, and my grandma cursed at me. 😂😂 No regrets, I still enjoyed it.
It was trash. The reason Jason Bourne the character is so admired and formidable is because unlike literally all the other (and I hate to say this but) "espionage" film protagonists is because he works alone without help. For example, unlike James Bond, he doesn't use gadgets to win, he doesn't rely on in-the-nick-of-time luck or someone else to sacrifice their life for him to not die, he doesn't have any weapons allocated to him (he picks them up along the way or believably weaponises what he gets his hands on), and he isn't invincible, he believably gets hurt and tired but still wins out of sheer genius and stay two steps ahead of everyone. Even Brian Mills had to call on old colleagues for help. The reason Jason Bourne the movie really sucked is because it had nothing to do with the original story, they just wanted to piggy back on the success of it, and broke all the aforementioned rules: he lost all his stoicism, he relied on gadgets stolen from a security expo, that was just a stupid move by the writers, dumb luck and demo products rarely work in the real world outside the display, he had help when crossing borders and Nicky died for him. To make it more lame, they even had parts were the characters verbally says "enhance" and the footage automatically enhances clarity. That is just lame on so many levels by itself and when combining with everything else really made this such a crap movie. I could see why true fans were told to not watch it so I'm passing on the tip now.
Well done Moby…this is one of the best put together songs EVER. Stirring, moving and captivating and a perfect end to each Bourne movie. What a treat it is listening to it.

The way Extreme Ways kicks in at the end just nails it - it's like the cherry on top that makes the whole film feel epic and unforgettable.

Funny how life just presents you with these character arcs . Often in the times of self reflection and hardship . The lyrics describe who I am and i don’t think it’s mere coincidence that someone like me would come across this so randomly . What a fantastic song .
For some it's the Mission Impossible series, for some it's the James Bond franchise and for a lot of people it's the John Wick movies that do it for them. But no matter what, for me it'll always be the Bourne series that'll have the highest replay value among all these.

Unfortunately, the Bourne series was not able to find it's second wind. John Wick is still riding it's initial wave, but series like James Bond and Mission Impossible have been able to exceed the popularity of their first few movies. I really hope that the same can happen with Bourne Series because those movies are so close to my heart.
I love the Mission Possible series and the Ethan Hawke character especially in the last few installments, but Jason Bourne is top tier. It just feels so real and immersive

Jason Bourne trilogy always have special place in my heart. I guess people like tonsee hitngirls, gadgets and cars. JASON Bourne doesn't have that lol. He fights alone with any weapon he can find sometime he fights with bare hands. Aline without past when everyone is after you. I got high respect for him. I have not watch John wick though 😂

Same here. The trilogy is still a blast. The fourth one was ok. The fifth one I couldn't even finish. A disgrace of the Bourne franchise to me, nothing more.
A bit of fanfiction: I think Bourne should've paired up with Nicky as a hacker sidekick, tear the government to shreds, erase his files and get his happy ending after all. NOT CONSIDER TO WORK WITH THEM AGAIN AFTER IT MADE HIM LOSE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE HE LOVED INCLUDING HIS OWN IDENTITY, FFS! The ending scene could've been smh like where one official finds some remnant records of Treadstone and the other one tells him to drop it if he wants to work smoothly and doesn't want to go after his predecessors, telling some exaggerated stories about Bourne like a some sort of Boogeyman ). I'm not a screenwriter at all, but I don't really see *anything* that would fit worse then what was finally put in there...

That's because some have been there and it fits.
Its a great song no doubt, but nothing comes close to the theme song from Godfather 1 and 2. Although the original Star Wars movie back in ‘77 was epic.

I saw the 5th Jason Bourne movie in Taiwan, sadly there wasn't anyone but me and my mates who stayed till the credits just for this song. Feel bad for all the people who missed such a epic song ;(

Sadly, not all people enjoy this song like us. I played it once with my speakers on, and my grandma cursed at me. 😂😂 No regrets, I still enjoyed it.
It was trash. The reason Jason Bourne the character is so admired and formidable is because unlike literally all the other (and I hate to say this but) "espionage" film protagonists is because he works alone without help. For example, unlike James Bond, he doesn't use gadgets to win, he doesn't rely on in-the-nick-of-time luck or someone else to sacrifice their life for him to not die, he doesn't have any weapons allocated to him (he picks them up along the way or believably weaponises what he gets his hands on), and he isn't invincible, he believably gets hurt and tired but still wins out of sheer genius and stay two steps ahead of everyone. Even Brian Mills had to call on old colleagues for help. The reason Jason Bourne the movie really sucked is because it had nothing to do with the original story, they just wanted to piggy back on the success of it, and broke all the aforementioned rules: he lost all his stoicism, he relied on gadgets stolen from a security expo, that was just a stupid move by the writers, dumb luck and demo products rarely work in the real world outside the display, he had help when crossing borders and Nicky died for him. To make it more lame, they even had parts were the characters verbally says "enhance" and the footage automatically enhances clarity. That is just lame on so many levels by itself and when combining with everything else really made this such a crap movie. I could see why true fans were told to not watch it so I'm passing on the tip now.
