Moby makes some of the best soul electronica I know. His specialty is a loving, warming, heartfelt, bittersweet landscape. Almost like if a parent was consoling their kid for something bad that happened in their life. "Yeah, life is painful and harsh too often, but there are good things worth living for. Life is worth enjoying while it lasts. I love you, and we will get through it as well as we can." I didn't come here from any TV show or movie, but I'm glad whenever folks find Moby. I was reminded of this song when I heard it in the background of a youtube short of objects getting hit in slow-mo. I've been a Moby listener for about 15 years. "Everloving" is one of my favorite Moby songs. It has no lyrics (at the time that I found that song, I didn't want to hear people talk or sing; it was something about being disgusted with voices and all their wants and desires, but now I'm different and I've grown to love other people and myself), but I could understand the feeling the song was trying to convey. It was a feeling of understanding that despite life ending and all the bad things we could experience during life, we could still choose to love life and find it meaningful and worthy of living. Everloving is one of those songs that helped me a lot. Another nice thing about "Everloving" is that the unofficial music video on RUclips shows a train moving through snowy terrain. It's like our life is a train ride: we didn't get to choose where the ride goes, but we can observe it as it moves by.

One of the best compositions.
Same extreme effect even after 20 years...
Extreme ways are back again
Extreme places I didn't know
I broke everything new again
Everything that I'd owned
I threw it out the window, came along
Extreme ways I know move apart
The colors of my sea
Perfect color me
Extreme ways that help me
That help me out late at night
Extreme places I had gone
But never seen any light
Dirty basements, dirty noise
Dirty places coming through
Extreme worlds alone
Did you ever like it planned?
I would stand in line for this
There's always room in life for this
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, fell apart
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Like it always does, always does
Extreme songs that told me
They helped me down every night
I didn't have much to say
I didn't give up the light
I closed my eyes and closed myself
And closed my world and never opened
Up to anything
That could get me at all
I had to close down everything
I had to close down my mind
Too many things to cover me
Too much can make me blind
I've seen so much in so many places
So many heartaches, so many faces
So many dirty things
You couldn't even believe
I would stand in line for this
It's always good in life for this
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, fell apart
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh, baby, oh, baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
