We saw Garbage on tour in 1996 with the Pumpkins. Shirley used this song as her sound check back to back, once with the keyboard and once alone. She didn't need anything, she has real talent and a beautiful voice by itself.
Her beauty, while undeniable, is the least of her! Shirley has been a steadfast champion for the rights of the downtrodden since the early 90's. She's a fucking marvel of a human being. I adore her, as should we all. Beauty is fading, marvelous is forever.
First heard this song in the late 90s, sitting at a Taco Bell at 10pm eating a late dinner consisting of a Taco Supreme and Burrito Supreme. I was a full time student studying electrical engineering and a part time DJ at the university across the street. I was the first person to play VOW in the Central Valley of CA. I recall tearing open the wrapper of the promotional packaging. The CD was in a olive green metal capsule. Garbage had that different sound.
This encapsulates the dreariness of the 90s. You know the world is changing and you're drifting in the wind trying to find out who you are and somewhere to call home

Such a beautiful song ! There’s this whole part of the 90s I’ve been uncovering.
I had the pleasure of recording in their Studio back in the late 90s I will never forget it
I love this song. It's so magical... so dark... so hypnotic...
Thank you Garbage. You guys have made some of my absolute favorite music.
90s the music and a million different individual voices. The free youth of the 90s was nothing short of a beautiful gift to us from the music God's.
Great band, amazing vocalist, great music
I had completely forgotten about this song, just heard it on an ad and had to search it up, couldn't remember who it was by. It's a relief to find it, what a lovely haunting vibe.
The song,her hair,her make up😍❤❤
i love this song. it brings me to other dimension
This song is just priceless... And it will always be.
I thank my ears for understanding good music.
2022 and this song came into my mind again from my deepest memories. Still waiting for you.
Great Band to bring back great times. Aaaah the 90's
I remember that back then walmart had a very lenient return program. I purchased this cassette, listened to it and didn't like it. Went back to store and they didn't approve the return. I was really angry but kept on listening cause, you know, money was tight. This return denial led to this becoming one of my most favorite albums of all time. This is 90s manifested.
Long live Garbage. God bless Shirley Manson.
WOW . This explains so much in our world today 'I AM LOST, SO I AM CRUEL'
My 12 year old self had exquisite music taste. So proud of myself, patting my back lol
Agreed🙂
I'd like to think my 12 year old self would have been that cool... but I was 28 lol
On release i was 26yo, now i am 52. This song is my connection to my former self. I love it so much !! Thank you Garbage, i am still waiting :)
One of our favourites in the 90s!!! And still is!
What a debut album.. Garbage is one of my favorite bands, love their sound still after all these years...
One of my favorite songs of all time😍 Shirley looks so beautiful in this MV.
And she and her voice are the beauty ❤
Loved this song. It was the last track on the 1995 album..beautiful ❤️❤️
My favorite track, then and now
We saw Garbage on tour in 1996 with the Pumpkins. Shirley used this song as her sound check back to back, once with the keyboard and once alone. She didn't need anything, she has real talent and a beautiful voice by itself.
A bangin tune is ALWAYS, a BANGER
Shirley Manson is most beautiful rock star of all time.
specially in this video
She is not! She's the most beautiful political woman on Earth! If she ran for president she'd have my vote!💯
I agree
Her beauty, while undeniable, is the least of her! Shirley has been a steadfast champion for the rights of the downtrodden since the early 90's. She's a fucking marvel of a human being. I adore her, as should we all.
Beauty is fading, marvelous is forever.
70-s aren't that ancient man. Haven't seen Blondie? Cheers!
What a beautiful song!!! It brings back very good memories with friends of mine in Australia. I can't forget it. Thanks
My favorite song. Thank you! You are not forgotten, long glory and good luck!
haunting yet another beautiful song by Garbage.
There is nothing like closing my eyes and just listening to this song sooo moodful.
Beautiful,a real beauty of a song.
I will always love this band. Much, much love to Shirley and the boys. 💙💖💜
She is an angel. What a gift for thay 3 guys to have found Shirley!
This encapsulates the dreariness of the 90s. You know the world is changing and you're drifting in the wind trying to find out who you are and somewhere to call home
woooow this song used to be the hymn of a life, thank you for helping the spark never to fade, This band is awesome
