This is one of those songs that you only neeed to hear once for it to lodge its self deep into your brain for the rest of your life. So haunting, so captivating, so melancholically beautiful. As an adult now, I also appreciate the lyrical content too. "I am lost, so I am cruel, but I'd be love and sweetness, if I had you".... I GET that now! I really get it!

Shirley Manson sings in the key my soul wants to hear. Fucking love this band. when we old farts sit around saying "what happened to the music you kids listen to, its not good stuff like back in my day," Garbage is one of the bands we're talking about.

Your parents must have said that about Garbage.
Don't limit your own enjoyment, there is plenty of great music nowadays, just gotta look for it.
I would love to share with the modern music I enjoy, but you and I probably don't like the same stuff.

There's dreck because it's a commercial industry. The key is supporting acts you like through their personal pages, websites, etc, rather than propping up the profit driven industry. Tons of great artists are taking their music directly to us, or through independent labels that give them more creative control and better payouts than the major labels that are there to prop up aging Disney radio stars.

An amazing band with Shirley's iconic voice on top.
Every time I get a new Garbage album, there's a part of me that worries this will be the one where I think they've jumped the shark. I hit 'play', the first song begins, and I always feel like a fool for questioning. They just get better and better. Thank you, Garbage, for showing us all how it's done... :)

I had totally forgotten about this song. Sounds really good. I definitely appreciate these old Garbage songs (and various 90s songs from other bands) a lot more today. They just never felt "special" when played 24/7 on the radio and on MTV, but they certainly do now.

I remember that back then walmart had a very lenient return program. I purchased this cassette, listened to it and didn't like it. Went back to store and they didn't approve the return. I was really angry but kept on listening cause, you know, money was tight. This return denial led to this becoming one of my most favorite albums of all time. This is 90s manifested.
Long live Garbage. God bless Shirley Manson.

Her beauty, while undeniable, is the least of her! Shirley has been a steadfast champion for the rights of the downtrodden since the early 90's. She's a fucking marvel of a human being. I adore her, as should we all.

A la vez me emociona y al mismo tiempo me trae una enorme nostalgia la gran canción Milk de Garbage. Unos de mis tantos recuerdos es cuando me sentaba frente a la TV y esperar a ver a la hermosa Shirley Manson.

First heard this song in the late 90s, sitting at a Taco Bell at 10pm eating a late dinner consisting of a Taco Supreme and Burrito Supreme. I was a full time student studying electrical engineering and a part time DJ at the university across the street. I was the first person to play VOW in the Central Valley of CA. I recall tearing open the wrapper of the promotional packaging. The CD was in a olive green metal capsule. Garbage had that different sound.
