I agree the M4 is a great car. I’ve had mine for 62k miles with almost no problems. Before you get rid of your M4 I highly recommend you take it to the track if you haven’t already. Only there can you truly realized what this car is capable of.

@@2024trotter like every performance car; if you buy it new and stick to the service plan while taking care of it (warming up, high octane fuel) it will be reliable. If you buy it used then it's a lottery - you can't know why in particular the car has been sold and what damages it may had and how well the car has been treated. Nowadays performance cars usually sell on a company lease and the first owner/driver does not take very good care of - car is gone in 2 years and under full warranty in that period, so why go full nerd mode?

@Noel Carvajal I have an e60 bmw m5 with 112,000 miles, im the second owner, its a 6 speed manual. I have a 2015 bmw x6m auto 46k miles second owner, and I have an e46 bmw m3 6 speed manual with 236,539 miles of which i am the original owner.

Yeah, and really didn't drive it THAT much considering. 10k miles per year isn't much at all tbf, especially considering I can imagine an onwer of a car like that would want to drive all the time hahaa.
10k a year: normal fun. 25k a year: enough time on the road to really see the far places of your state/province. I now only do 5k miles a year: no fun.

My dad had a 335i convertible s2 dinan and he put only 12,000 miles in 4 years. He now just bought an m4 convertible, I hope he doesn't do the same to it. It kills me watching a car sit so long.
To me personally the M4 is the best looking car in it's segment, it is my dream car. I had my 335 e92 for 10 years and it was custom tuned, nothing crazy but gave me a good kick in the back. I think, when replacing it, the important thing is that it feels motivated to do so in that the replacement has to be "worth it". You'll find something :)
Just got a 2019 M4, love it too, the Dual Clutch Transmission going from reverse to 1st lags a bit, but other than that, getting it tuned, carbon fiber cold air intake enroute and downpipes. Great video, I live in Stuttgart so I'm going to find that road you mentioned once the snow thaws.

The new 2020 M550i and spend the rest of your budget on upgrades instead of the M5. One of the scariest sleepers on the road currently.
Damn you go through tires quickly, I was switching tires between 10-15k miles for the rear and front tire were like 15-20k miles. Great build tho, love the mods
Dude, I wouldn’t expect a £65,000 car to have any issues after 40k miles. I’ve got an Octavia VRS on nearly 100k and it’s still perfect.

The perfect car for you I think would be the Alfa Romeo Gulia Quadrifoglio: 4 seater 4 door, 500+ hp stock, has bare carbon fibre stock, and Ferrari engine that you can tune the daylights out of. M5 and RS6 are good too but I think too basic. You get the Gulia you stand out and it’s also loud asf. Look into it you won’t be disappointed :)

I watched the whole 12 mins and these are just personal impressions, but I wouldn't dare to call this video "a review", as there is no analysis, evaluations or comparisons. Most of whats said in the video are just teenager comments like "i love the noise", "I added carbon fiber bits here and there" or "the red buttons look sick" ... wasted 12 mins.

It looks like you drive it pretty hard and have a tune to boot. I’d stay a million miles from it. I’m quite sure the next buyer will be paying for your exuberance and rough treatment with significant maintenance.
I sold my M4, it was very sedated and only fun when entering law-breaking levels of speed. Put 75,000 miles on it in 2 years. 9MPG. Very strong car though.

I got an xDrive 440i and buitl it into an M4 GTS with less aero and more power because it was easier then awd swapping an F82... I love the car too death though. Getting close to costing as much as a GTS now though lol

Hey. Yes 550BHP. No crank hub issues for the 3 years I had it and it was tuned straight after the running in service. From what I've been told by experienced BMW mechanics, crank hub issues are an issue from the factory rather than from the tuning. Many stock cars have had crank hub issues. If you're worried then just get it done :)

kind of a joke to make commentary on longevity and reliability at 40k. the gear box replacement says everything anyway.
I mean, sports cars and heavy use of computers/ electronics tends to lower reliability-- this car has both. Not to mention, the car almost definitely was driven in a pretty fun way-- which kills cars pretty quickly.

This was epic, loved it. You enjoy a drivers car, go for the M5 looks a lot better than the merc, the exhaust is a bit meh on the BM though, but as a drivers car it's better than the Mercedes. RS6 for sheer ridiculous exhaust noise and road presence, thats a tough one.

Could be his car in particular that was a lemon, they're more common than wanted but nothing like the haters make out. People own bmw's for years with zero issues, some are just unlucky and something goes wrong..... luck of the draw i say.

I think the Mercedes Benz AMG GT (S) is one of the most beautiful and capable cars available today. Compared to a 911 of its performance class it is relatively cheap as well. I am a total BMW guy but this.. man I'd go with the AMG over anything right now, even the new 911. Currently I have a BMW E89 Z4 and the layout and seating position of a two seater sportscar/roadster with yuge bonnet is pure joy. The AMG is like that but _so_. _much_. _more_. Anyways, I'd go for something more luxurious, sporty and special than the midrange class the M4 sits in. I mean the M4 is a hell of a beast and a very nice car, but it is beefy and after all it is based off a middle class car. It looks like one and the interior, whilst being nice, is the interior of a 3 series. Look for something like a 911, a Cayman, AMG GT or an 8 Series. You won't regret the interior upgrade and the niceness of a 'real' coupe.
As a m4 owner for a year (20 000 km) the most annoyng thing is the stiffnes of the suspension, especcialy when you live on eastern Europe ( Estonia) and the roads arent the best. Its just very tireing to drive this car everyday on bad roads ( potholes etc)

When u add a tune like Bootmod3 you have a “burble” option. Just go see your local bmw tuner and they’ll set you up!

Stand out with a 800bhp R32 Evo I've got 1 tiny bit slower atm last R. ROAD WAZ 704 Cos a braided hose blew, my fault but I want 1000bhp n it's already set to do it Gitani Straight pipe it's a Beast obviously. Loving the M4 I've had 1 BMW a mark 1 m3 in red in 98ish you'd be paying some P 4 1 of those now mint 50k upwards at auction...... You know all this so I'm getting bk to your video. I Race moto x yzf 450 Race tuned upto madness. Same as if its gotta engine I'm on it n got what u want quad mint fun me and mi girl she loves it now hated me doing tricks etc but she happy now.
