  • We were getting ready to go on a hot drive where the temps were supposed to be 97+ degrees, so I decided I better throw together a fan shroud to assist with the clutch type mechanical fan.
The radiator is a 26 inch factory style replacement since we live in AZ.
I started with the bottom 4 inches of the metal tub, sliced and flared the edges out.
Then I built an aluminum frame with 1/8 x 1/2 inch flat.
Next, fiberglass mat and resin to close in everything to fit the entire 26 inch radiator core.
The fan is a 19 inch 5 blade steel, (just a little larger than the actual core) so this is why you see a rounded section that comes up to the top tank area.
It all worked great, even though it actually got up to 105 on the way home, and not the 97 they said it was going to be.
    Thanks for watching.
    See ya out there.
