Question / suggestion for a video: how to deal with wicked kick serves that jump way over the shoulder? I either hit a weak top spin return, or I slice it, but usually immediately get punished
I think I heard both sides of the coin in tip one, but everything I've heard says you should jump right before contact so you're landing right after contact. Is that what you guys recommend too? I like the 2 minute tennis argument that says it takes 0.2 to 0.25 seconds for our brains to process where the ball is going, so if we land 0.2 seconds after contact, our brain can identify where we're going and our first step can be as accurate as possible.

4 outstanding tips, thank you guys
A good tip 4... never thought about adjusting the ready height according to the serves
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Tip 1 was brilliant. I've been searching for a while but haven't found any other videos online explaining the timing of the split step. Cheers 👍🏾
Glad it helped!

In doubles I would argue return is #1 and serve is #2. Good video
💯
Perfect
Great for me - what time to split step and be back the racket. Thank you. 😊
