Absolutely my friend that’s the way I look at it. I would hate to send out of shape birds out in season. They have much better chance if I just keep them going.
A couple did come down if I remember right, but I always set a timer on my wrist watch and I just read it when the big group comes down. I had some return very late from the race and they were all worn out and landed early which I expected them to do.

Hi Mike, lovely flock of birds there. I thought I heard you clock scan in a bird when they were all trapping, maybe a late arrival from the race

Not really, it helps to scan in more pigeons when they are all rushing in. I’m sure it does help a bit with the hawks though

Yes same feed and once in a while I add some wild bird seed for variety
