I'm not sure why, but I can't shake the feeling that Crowder has rejected her in some way- maybe he's been cold to her public flirtations and she's come off feeling humiliated.
She's a very attractive woman, and can often be playfully seductive, and would be used to men being "cuntstruck".

the reason why twins are on average delivered early is not because they just go into pregnancy early, its usually because a combination of factors like the mother's blood pressure or one of the twins not getting enough nutrition. a lot of times twins are delivered early and one of them is like 6 lbs and the other one is like 4 lbs.

She had a miscairrage prior to this pregnancy and anyone who has gone through a pregnancy loss knows you are hypervigilant and paranoid about anything that could be risky. My guess is that she was avoiding many tasks and being high risk she would have had physical restrictions. Yes this probably put an extra burden on him for chores. I think every couple who has had to deal with risky pregnancy and losses knows you just suck it up. It is temporary. If it was that much of a burden for him he could afford to get her some help.

I still think destiny is wrong, because there's a difference between the stuff that can get said in the heat of the moment, but as someone whose been lwith my husband for 10+ years, you never say something like "I don't love you. I've never received love from you". Thats just a line that should never be crossed unless youre ready to end the relationship, because thats the only reasonable outcome. In this case, this is a manipulative and abusive tactic to have control over the relationship. It doesn't matter if she might be the most useless woman on the planet and he had the moral high ground all the way up to this point, there is no context where you weaponize love and use it against your partner in order to achieve a desired result like this. I think Destiny is always going to have this issue with bridge burning as long as he does this thing where he doubles down on something that he knows people inherently get passionate about, and insults, minimizes, and strawmans his friends and orbiters arguments. When Aba hopped on, and Destiny made the crying white woman crack -- he knows that's not a thing for Aba, but he said it anyway, to dismiss his argument. I can see how people would get tired of someone acting like he's the rational one, while being deliberately obtuse about why people are saying what they're saying.
I believe Destiny is right about the video, regarding not coming to a definite conclusion, but getting mad at people who do, while insulting them, will wear thin on most people. And I think the disconnect comes when people insult him about specific things, they don't think it's a big deal, because most people don't separate their emotional responses when it comes to what is fair game for someone to insult you about. This was such a frustrating listen. Destiny’s thesis is correct (be careful about assumptions from a 3min video) but he dug in his heels so hard against making any assumption/possibility that it made him look unreasonable.
A few of my contentions with this conversation:
I think someone finally said this at the end, but it seems very likely that Crowder’s wife was just trying to leave the situation because she was upset. (I have similar reactions when I’m in a fight-I just need to go drive/walk somewhere and cool down). Going to the store is an excuse. Does a pregnant woman want to be hauling bags of wood pellets? No, but it’s better than being at home.
Is walking dogs more strenuous than the store? It depends. Maybe the dog pulls and she’s afraid of falling. Maybe the dog needs a 2 mi walk to burn off energy. Maybe squatting to pick up dog shit is really hard with a giant belly in front of her. In comparison, strolling around a store with a cart might be way easier.
And undoubtedly, being pregnant in your mid 30s with twins when you’ve miscarried before is a different story than a first-time low-risk single pregnancy in your 20s, and acknowledging that is not treating a woman like a “r******* child”. Yes, a lot of women work until late in pregnancy because they don’t have a choice-it’s still uncomfortable, especially in the final weeks when it’s harder to sleep, babies are consuming more nutrients/oxygen, your organs are crushed, and your ligaments are softening to make way for labor.
That’s not to say that all pregnant women are completely incapacitated and need bed rest for the last 2 months. It’s to say that we rightly should give them some extra grace and kindness for that temporary time because they’re likely exhausted and uncomfortable with little relief.
Giving dogs medication can suck even if the medication ISN’T harmful to pregnant women. I have to get on the floor and hold my dog’s mouth closed so she swallows a pill. But there are a lot of human and animal meds that can cause fetal issues if handled. This is not super uncommon or unthinkable at all. When I worked in a pharmacy there were common prescriptions that I was advised to not count/bag if it was possible I was pregnant (and we didn’t touch the pills by hand).

I’m really frustrated that no one made these points in response to Destiny, so now i’m writing it.
    1. There is nothing bad about being precautious with jumping to conclusions too early, nor is it wrong to be charitable. **BUT** Destiny doesn’t apply this level of charitability in many situations. A lot of the times he will also make qualified guesses and make certain assumptions without the full scope. He only seems to apply this ultra high level of charitability, when he can be edgy & contrarian about it. Like when he tip toed around calling Nick Fuentes a white nationalist/nazi. He would never be this charitable to a leftist. I’ve seen him many times making assumptions about people based on little evidence.
    2. There is also nothing wrong with making assumptions & qualified guesses, as long as they’re based in reality & reason. In most cases we don’t posses all the evidence, so we make certain jumps & assumptions based on the evidence we’ve got. If the all the evidence we got points in a certain direction, it is absolutely fair to have an opinion on the subject. As long as you admit that it is not 100% confirmed, and that it is just your personal assesment, it should be fine to have a qualified guess or belief. If we didn’t do this, we most likely couldn’t have any beliefs or have any assesments of the world at all. We have to make some assumptions, because we can know everything all the time.

    • @mcbean1
      @mcbean1 Год назад +9

“Destiny doesn’t apply this level of charitability in many situations.” Are these ‘similar situations’ where significant claims such as abuse and being flown around? Are these ‘similar situations’ where more evidence will probably be made available? It would help if you provided some examples to support your claim.
Your second point is only reasonably if the assumption is in regard to a trivial conclusion, its dangerous if it involves serious accusations. The fact that we never have 100% of the evidence does not excuse instances where there is clearly insufficient evidence. Its why we have concepts like the presumption of innocence. To say that something is a qualified guess suggests that there is a degree of knowledge behind the guess, which on any reading is impossible seeing as this is a 3min clip from an 8 year marriage.

      2) The words "Nazi" and "Abuser" are both career, potentially life ending words that Destiny doesn't think should be thrown around lightly.
      3) Destiny never said there was anything wrong with making guesses. Destiny said there was something wrong with treating a guess, even if a qualified one, as a definitive assertion, ESPECIALLY when the stakes are this high for the people involved.
Literally EVERY SINGLE CASE where the stakes involve abuse or sexual misconduct or career ending allegations, Destiny has ALWAYS approached it the exact way he's approaching it in this video. Regarding the Crowder video (pinned comment by August): I was the one who came on Destiny explaining this (8:12:10 Kick VOD 4/29/2023) The camera records for 60 seconds guaranteed (unless you set it to something diff like 30 or 90, etc. seconds guaranteed), + roughly 2 second combined buffer before/after to show what happened just before motion begun. After the 60 seconds are up the camera needs to detect motion again. So if after 60 seconds there is no real motion, for X number of seconds, then does X number of seconds will not get captured until new motion begins, even if there was significant motion at 57 seconds (I found Ring forum posts complaining about this). This is why during each cut it does not appear like anyone really moved. Also why the time where the cut begins is right before she starts moving again. That is the new motion being detected. There are 2 time cuts, 41 seconds being cut 0:25, and 8 seconds at 2:34. The cut at 1:31 is not an actual cut, here the timestamp goes back 4 seconds actually, that is because this is what it looks like when the 60 seconds are up but there was motion immediately during the end of the 60 seconds, so the timestamp discrepancy is likely processing and saving, and grabbing a new true timestamp. In conclusion, we can see that there is 1:02 (62s) seconds between each cut which lines up with what the camera does, and we can see that the two actual cuts (0:25 and 2:34) happen when there is no motion and motion starts again. We lost ~48 seconds due to lack of motion, not due to deliberate editing.

Destiny keeps missing the point. For example the surgery. It doesn’t matter if it was purely cosmetic or not. It was in fact elective and he elected to have it within a window of time that he knew his wife would be giving birth. That isn’t necessarily abusive but it does give us a glimpse of his priorities.
As far as the video is concerned I think anyone who has first or second hand experience with emotional abuse can identify crowder’s abusive behavior. More context might reveal that his wife is also abusive but it won’t change the fact that crowder was in that clip.
At the end of the depp/heard trial we learned that they were both abusive to varying degrees not that depp was an angel. At best more context in this situation will lead to a similar conclusion. As it stands we have video evidence of crowder being emotionally abusive. More information won’t change that. Defending his behavior is moronic.

Destiny is being difficult for no reason. It doesn't have to be the case that as soon as the pregnant lady touches a medicine her fetuses are automatically ejected from her uterus for her to be concerned. Even if the medicine said "handle with care", it's perfectly fine for her to ask someone else to give the dog the medicine. It's irrelevant whether the drug is actually dangerous to pregnant people. Maybe she's being paranoid, who gives a fuck. It's your wife, her pregnancy is high risk, she's worried about it and all you have to do is finish smoking your fucking cigar and spend two minutes of your life to give the dog the medicine for your wife to be at ease. Especially since she's perfectly happy to do other chores in the meantime, like go grocery shopping. This should be a complete non-issue.
Also, comparing grocery shopping and handling the medicine is fucking stupid. I feel like Destiny is missing, either intentionally or unintentionally, what Crowder said. He didn’t just say to put on gloves if she’s committed. He ALSO said, “….and walk the dogs”. As someone who was married and had 3 children in 3 separate pregnancies, certain things a can be more manageable than others for pregnant women. Walking dogs, even if in disagreement (and I endured a few turmoil ridden pregnancies), if you’re not a total dick, walking the dogs when your wife is pregnant with twins is not asking too much. I’ve worked 12+ hour shifts and came home and cleaned my house and did other things with the children while my pregnant wife went grocery shopping. It happens. And there’s nothing wrong Crowder being asked to do things he didn’t want to do while they were having issues when she’s THAT far along. From experience. When your child is involved, all that other stuff goes out the window. Destiny isn’t being reasonable or charitable when he says “well why would she go grocery shopping then?”. He’s being as irrational as he claims others are being. When you here “grocery shopping” he’s thinking of getting a bunch of stuff. She could just be getting a few items for the home, things that won’t be too strenuous or that she knows she can handle. Every pregnant woman is aware of what they can and cannot do. So for her, walking the dogs is too much (and any self respecting man wouldn’t make his pregnant partner do that when they’re possible of being in labor at any moment). Going grocery shopping is not. Especially when, as Destiny keeps saying “we don’t know” what she was getting. She clearly was trying to get away from him which is why she stated “I will be back when I’m back”. She was making it clear that she would not rush to return. She tried to reset and disarm the tension by stating “I love you, I’m committed to you”. It’s not gaslighting. She’s trying to stop the argument so she can go.
Feels like none of these people have ever been in a functioning relationship before. This is all simple to understand if you e ever been in a relationship or had issues.

You have no clue about their personal lives and are just making assumptions. What if 'I'll be back when I'm back' means she's going to a friends place, and she'll be back sometime tomorrow? Or in a couple days? He specifically mentions being frustrated with his life being on a minute to minute schedule and her not being able to give him an estimate. Also saying 'I love you' can mean more than you're implying, especially in an argument. She could be trying to de-escelate, or she could have a pattern of saying 'I love you' to end arguments and not hear out his side. Or she could have a pattern of saying/doing abusive things then trying to make it better by telling him how much she loves him. Steven Crowder is a piece of shit, but that doesn't mean we should just take this one video as the entirety of their marriage. Especially when there could be some serious baggage coded into this argument that we just have no idea about.

1.) Late in pregnancy women do enter a 'nesting' phase, where they start really preparing for bringing children to the home. This can include grocery shopping and preparing. Making sure you'll have food when you get home so you don't have to do groceries when the babies are home, cleaning the home, etc. Also...if she finds her husband intolerable and can't trust him to do these things properly, then she is hustling to get these things done herself. Also may be trying to get a break from the home and her ~loving~ husband.
2.) Destiny seems fixated that if she is capable of grocery shopping she should be capable of a myriad of other tasks. However, he isn't thinking about what priorities an 8 month pregnant woman may have during that time. It is pretty easy to figure out that someone who is 8 months pregnant with twins is going to tire A LOT faster than someone who isn't. So in this time a woman is prioritizing certain things over others...like walking the dog vs getting supplies for a household that is going to increase by 2(babies), leaving the other 1 out of 4(her) recovering from surgery (well I suppose 2/4, since S. Crowder decided to get his elective surgery on the same day his wife's mandatory c-section that was probably already scheduled.)
3.) Destiny is mad people are making excuses up for Hilary, but then goes on to do the same for Steven (WHAT IF HE JUST GOT DONE FILMING LIKE 15 SHOWS, CAME BACK FROM TRAVEL, NOT HIS DOG).
4.) I hate daily wire and candace owens, but she is not saying that he made up his medical condition. Steven Crowder says so himself he never knew what it's like to not have restricted blood flow. As in this was definitely something he has dealt with his whole life and rescheduling to be their for his family (instead of recovering from an elective surgery) would of been the unselfish thing to do. Also she said that steven complained about the way his chest looked and wanted to fix it. I am assuming she got this information from his wife since this sounds like something someone would tell their wife.
5.) I like Destiny and agree with a lot of his takes, but this one ain't it. I agree that it is always great to wait for more information, but destiny doesn't appear to genuinely be doing that. He is already making assumptions on the Daily Wires role in these leaks, reasons why Hilary C. is potentially a horrible wife, why steven is acting like an abusive pos, under the guise of "well, maybes and what ifs"
We don't have a lot of information on the wife as she is not a public figure, all we can go off of at this point is by generalizing her position as an 8 month woman with twins, tumultuous marriage, absent husband. I can hold my reservations on her character because of the lack of information, but with the little information I do have ,I can sympathize and definitely not feel a strong desire to defend her public facing husband (who I already know has a lot of shit takes on relationships and women in general from his own words)
"The incidence of twin pregnancies in the United States has increased over the past few decades, and twins now represent 3.4% of all US live births. 1 In the United States, approximately 75% of twins are delivered by cesarean delivery (CD)."
"Researchers from McMaster University suggest that these behaviours(Nesting) -- characterized by unusual bursts of energy and a compulsion to organize the household -- are a result of a mechanism to protect and prepare for the unborn baby.
Women also become more selective about the company they keep, preferring to spend time only with people they trust, say researchers."

They were married for 10 years. You watched a 3 minute recording. A heavily edited recording with no context (the beginning and end of the argument are not included). A recording selectively leaked by one party to a journalist clearly bent on making Crowder look as bad as possible.
This was filmed 1 month before the texts where they formally talk about separation. Ie this is at the very, very end of their marriage when by definition everything is falling apart.
It is premature to judge based on this.
Maybe crowder is as bad as this 3 min clip makes him look. Maybe not. The leaked 2 min video from Amber Heard had half the planet calling Jonny Depp a textbook abuser/narcissist/psychopath etc. Then more info came iut that dramatically altered this calculation.
Maybe they are BOTH horrible. Maybe neither of them are.

Steven Chowderhead cannot be defended. It's not even about the emotional abuse, if you see your pregnant wife feeling distressed and unhappy and you don't care about that you're a terrible husband. Simple as that. Whether or not you insult her or force her to take an uber. It's the fact that he doesn't seem to care that's the initial problem. When you add the emotional abuse and the divorce that they're getting now, there's no way you can say "but it was only 3 minutes of his life!"
No it was more than 3 minutes. It was months of a man not caring about the mother of his kids.

His stated position is "I don't know" and they are attacking that position. Every attack against his position is defended with "Is there actual relevant information to base an opinion on?" and they either have nothing or make something up. Why would he cede anything here? He very frequently in this conversation says "It could be the case" which IS ceding to them, but with the caveat of "I don't know" still being the ACTUALLY CORRECT underlying position to have. They continue to fight against that position because you can't virtue signal as easily if you're not siding with the white woman with no pushback.
