I bought this monitor after watching this video. It has been a great monitor, really crisp, goes great with an alienware build and the newer gfx cards have the new type of display port without the screws. So this monitor is perfect for new gen cards. If you have and older gen card I cant say for sure this would be the right purchase, maybe go for ben q if you have an older graphics card with older display port.

240hz with HDR is very hard to do when you also consider technology like G-Sync. That's just a lot of complicated technology at once. We'll probably have this eventually. But simply the fact that it's a true 240hz IPS monitor is impressive. Been waiting for this for years.

Dude, I love your review but just one thing we should all know. HDR brings you additional latency(or input lag). I think they didn't adopt HDR there for a reason. This one's all about 240Hz IPS for FPS games you know.
Vincent Seajun Kim well of course, probably part of the reason this monitor isn’t selling for $500 anymore, but if it was at that price range it would be nice to have it be able to be turned on and off, because of course when you use HDR, other features of the monitor typically become unavailable. Like you can’t use the lowest response time, lowest motion blur reduction and HDR typically all at the same time so if they decided to add it I’m sure it would’ve been a similar story. But they didn’t so no worries lol

you should check out the new blur busters approved viewsonic 240hz. its 27 inches, which isnt ideal, but the pureXP motion reduction supposedly gives off CRT-like preformance.
Hey man, so what do you think would be better. This one of the G-sync one ( AW2518H ). If both were the same price, which one would you get? Great vid, and keep up the good work! ✌️👍
Just got mine in the mail, and I can confirm the overdrive test is true. Although ONLY when Gsync/FreeSync is enabled. Once you disable Gsync/Freesync overshoot becomes a mess on EXTREME, not too bad on SUPER FAST, and non-existent on FAST. This is a supreme monitor.
I got this monitor today thanks in part to your video! I just have a question about the Fortnite overclock test. I heard you say that it was run at 120fps, but have you by chance been able to test the overshooting at the full 240fps? I ask because I intend on using this for Overwatch, which is super fast paced so I am really hoping that the reverse-ghosting is a non issue there too.

Honestly. I didn’t once look at a pitch black screen and check for it specifically so I can’t honestly answer that. But I can say that while using it to play games or consume content it wasn’t noticeable or annoying in the slightest, same time be said about my Asus VG27AQ that I main

Love the video! You seriously put out some great and useful content! Would you be able to compare this monitor to the zowie xl2546? i know a more fair comparison for the zowie would probably be the aw2518h since that's also a TN panel, but the pricing on this monitor compared to the zowie has my curiousity peaked and if i could save a couple hundred $$ I might be sold. Thanks in advance :D
My desk is about 25 and 1/2 inches wide and my mousepad is about 16 and 1/2 inches wide. Do you think the monitor would comfortably fit my setup? Also, how wide is the monitor stand (from the front view)?
For the fortnite portion you said shot at 120fps like the UFO test, but the UFO test said 240fps at the bottom. Is it still true 1ms when on 240hz/ fps? does the extreme overdrive still have no ghosting and motion blur on 240fps/ hz?

Nice video. Ordered a new Alienware PC for my son and a little undecided between the 25 and 27 monitors. He's 10 and plays lots of Minecraft and Roblox. Is the 25 a better monitor? Thanks and keep up with those reviews. 👍
you should check out the new blur busters approved viewsonic 240hz. its 27 inches, which isnt ideal, but the pureXP motion reduction supposedly gives off CRT-like preformance.
I was able to get this monitor for $125 on Amazon day thanks man
I just copped mine for like 300 bucks or 500 bucks aud on the end of financial year sale and man oh man is it good for that price
I just ordered, i will update after try it out. Thanks
Update?
Bro did u get it yet?
Nah his shipment got delayed cuz of corona lol
Hey man, so what do you think would be better. This one of the G-sync one ( AW2518H ). If both were the same price, which one would you get? Great vid, and keep up the good work! ✌️👍
The new one, the G sync compatibility makes them about equal. But honestly, IPS is twice as good
thank you for the whole review I really appreciate it.
So you're saying you shouldn't use Gsync? I don't understand
Saying you should definitely use Gsync
@@TooMuchTech thanks for your review and insight. Have this coming in a couple of days, I appreciate the reply.
Nice man you’ll love it it’s really good! Thank you!
Bro i have Same Monitor dont know but apex Legends Run Bad so did i must Use gsync and fast or gsync and extreme ?
Alienware just announced the new 360Hz AW2521H monitor, with a dedicated NVIDIA G-SYNC module inside of the monitor
Is there any noticeable motion blur on this monitor, and do you still recommend it? Love you videos btw
I can’t wait till you review the Samsung g9 odyssey coming out your reviews are great
just managed to find this for 300 pound thanks for the reccomendation its coming on tuesday!
Same bro 🤙
Does it work good?
I got this monitor today thanks in part to your video! I just have a question about the Fortnite overclock test. I heard you say that it was run at 120fps, but have you by chance been able to test the overshooting at the full 240fps? I ask because I intend on using this for Overwatch, which is super fast paced so I am really hoping that the reverse-ghosting is a non issue there too.
Awesome Video. Cant wait to see a Video where you put your hands on the RTX 3000 series. I wanna know if there are able to run my AW3418dw with 120 Fps.
Btw the alienware 25 or 27 and the hp omen x 27 which one would it be your first choice for gaming especially? Awesome vid mate ! Keep up the good work !
Alienware 25! And thank you!
Too Much Tech thanks mate
Cool video man. How many inches does the base stick out ?
Bro love the video. Is this going to be good for my ryzen 7 3700x and rtx 2070 super?
Great video! Just bought one, can’t wait
how is it?
Great review, have you noticed any annoying backlight bleeding cause my actual IPS panel which costs around 290 has major problems with it and i don’t wanna waste my money i mean still expensive monitors
Honestly. I didn’t once look at a pitch black screen and check for it specifically so I can’t honestly answer that. But I can say that while using it to play games or consume content it wasn’t noticeable or annoying in the slightest, same time be said about my Asus VG27AQ that I main
The one I gonna buy is like this but in white and 27 inches
great review, love the channel
08:31 can you tell me what keyboard and mouse combo those are? Looks really neat
Keith Dan Mendoza anne pro 2 w/ glorious model o probably
fishy boi clapzz yessirr
I have bought aw2521 hfla model a week ago. Is there any difference in comparison with aw2521 hfl model? What does an "A" stand for?
Great job!! Maybe the Alienware AW2518H (not AW2518Hf) can beat the Zowie XL2546 (they call him the king off fps)? I really can't make up my mind which one to get...keep up the good work.
good review👍. I ordered mine today🙂
Broski just bought this today!! ✔️👌🏽😁 Souped! Lol. Ok. What are the settings I should go with. I trust your recommendation. Help me out. Just subbed. Really like how you keep it real in your vids. #Respect ✔️
I don’t have the zowie on hand but this one is really nice, you wouldn’t be disappointed.
@@TooMuchTech Thanks for the quick response! Do you think you'll review the zowie xl2546s when it comes out?
Probably not to be honest, I don’t really need another $500 dollar monitor but we’ll see!
Please respond. How is it different from the aw2521hfl
Ordered it i had the 2017 i think it will be a big upgrade
My desk is about 25 and 1/2 inches wide and my mousepad is about 16 and 1/2 inches wide. Do you think the monitor would comfortably fit my setup? Also, how wide is the monitor stand (from the front view)?
Thanks, bro just got one after watching your video :) And what's the name of your keyboard, its looks so cool where can I get that.
How long did it take to ship
For the fortnite portion you said shot at 120fps like the UFO test, but the UFO test said 240fps at the bottom. Is it still true 1ms when on 240hz/ fps? does the extreme overdrive still have no ghosting and motion blur on 240fps/ hz?
What are those rgb stripes behind your desk they looking hella good plz send me a link and if its possible a link for germany or a alternative if not availeble
Hello, what are the differences of this and the 27 inch Alienware 240hz monitor? Thanks!
Only or display inch. This monitor is 24.5 inch display.
Bruh thank you for info on this helped on my decision!
Damn this is my favourite monitor and I was about to buy it for 410€ from a local website but someone just bought it, now it's 490€. Hopefully it drops back because this is "the" monitor. Nice video btw!
Check out official dell website they have good deal on it now.
yo this guy is alot better at reviewing tech then other peeps
I know this a video on the monitor but what keyboard is he using
