Having worked in a large corporation for 9 years, I can confirm that this is absolutely true. I observed a direct correlation between climbing the corporate ladder and investing time in social connections outside of work. When my schedule became busier, preventing me from participating in their after-work social events, I noticed a shift in how I was perceived. Despite this, I decided to venture out on my own, and today I am running my own small business. It might be modest in size, but it's entirely mine.

One thing I would like to point out, money does not create happiness. I don't think it's about being dumb specifically. I think it's more about personality and risk tolerance. Starting your own business is far riskier than having a safe salaried job that pays you every month for pressing the same buttons every day. Someone who is risk-averse, regardless of their intelligence, will most likely not even try that.
And also, someone who doesn't get discouraged easily, someone hard working who is very determined to get their ideas to fruition, someone who can network with others, someone with charisma, someone who can persuade people to buy their products or services and/or invest in their idea... that's the person that will succeed in starting a business. An introvert whose hands start sweating the moment they even think of talking to someone, is way more likely to go for a safe job where they don't have to worry about any of that.

When Asian Americans speak English it’s as if there is a comma in between every word.

Mark Cuban is "worth" 6 billion. What is Alexander Fleming "worth" to this society? Clearly he hasn't provided as much value as Mark Cuban.

Bezos, Musk, Gates, Zuckerberg, Page, Brin, Bloomberg, etc. were good students … it’s not about being A or C student. Becoming rich is about entrepreneurial mindset, exposure to success, discipline, etc. Anybody can become successful. Some A students stop learning after school and don’t necessarily aim at billionaire status. So it just depends.

I think Billionaires and millionaires might not be the smartest person in the room but they are definitely not dumb people. They are just not good at studying in school but that doesn’t mean that they are dumb.

To me, it's obvious. Doing well in school simply means you know how to obey the masters well.

Serve people, try different things, overcome ego &pride.
Create processes that you can automate/ scale with other people.
    Decondition from school thinking/ rules.
Embrace rejection - anyone can do the work.
Embrace failure - not impressing people.

I think the way school is being bullied nowadays is not a good sign. What have been said is just the interviewer's opinion according to his own experience. We cannot generalise the idea of bashing school, through it i met many people that enlightned my thinking and went through many experiences that helped shape my personality.

that's just because School was the one way you directly or indirectly Chose to socialize By.
and Don't tell me it's the only way, even if it was; that's just ONE aspect of many, and THE only one that isn't Full On Garbage.

Bro, there is people everywhere, you can socialise wherever you go. But the quality of people you find at school is on another level, you meet people with critical thinking that helps you see the word otherwise. Socialising just for fun is something easy that you can do anywhere.

Long story short: They take risks quicker, while smart people are analysing things more and take less risk that way.
