  • Common sense should tell a Carpenter that your finished work not have a water trap. But we live in different times. Much of modern window craft is undoing the ignorance that was inserted between the archetypal genius of yesterday and the planned obsolescence throw away culture of today.

I was hoping there would have been more detail on how you removed the rotted sill. I know it involved the sawzall, just would have been helpful to see it in action.

How do you create a sill from scratch when the old sill is so rotten and leaves you with nothing to copy. Every sill is slightly different with slopes and step downs?

I love it when homeowners surround their homes with plants and shrubs that actually do two things. The water needed to keep these things alive rot the house and the plants themselves cause shade that rots the house and two, working around those plants is a pain in the ass literally!! Rose bushes being that actual physical pain in the ass lol
