Good review, thank you. Great job explaining and covering all the features of the GO. I can’t wait to get mine. Will be nice to be able to play anywhere I want. Thanks again for the review.
Thank you for your feedback and your inquiry. I have not played with Sessions or backing tracks yet. Primarily using it to practice quietly while grandkids are sleeping (or when wife is sleeping when we are in hotels).
NS is the noise suppressor / noise gate which is also on the original Tone Studio , i know you can import live sets and presets from the MKII line, but can I send presets from my Katana Go to my Boss Katana MKII and or my GT-1 multi fx pedal using Tone Studio through it ? I own a 50w MKII and Boss GT-1 and just got my Katana Go from GC in the mail last night, I just wish Boss would just make all their patches universal for all their products
Thanks for chiming in on the NS. From my understanding, the patches only go one way. As you said, you can import MKII patches into your Go, but I’ve been told you can’t export Go patches for use on MKII devices.
As I mentioned in the video, it works great for what I wanted it for: Silent practice at home and to practice while traveling. Anything extra is just icing on the cake.
You've been back playing for 2 months , and you have all 3 sparks , a katana, and now a katana go and 3 guitars . Practice is more important than having a lot of gear, although it is nice .
Thanks for taking the time to give me your feedback. Before I address your statement, did you have any additional feedback about the review itself? Back to your statement. While I don’t need to justify my purchases to anybody but myself (and my wife), you bring up a great point, so I will share with you and my subscribers. 2 of my guitars are older than my 2 children. The Spark Amps were investments due to their popularity so I can help accessory manufacturers in the design and testing of new products. Also helps for content for the channel to start including guitar content. I have been practicing as much as work allows, which is why I picked up the Katana:Go and Steinberger so I can take them with me when I travel to try and keep up with my practice. I also perform guitar and amp repairs, and I am constantly flipping equipment that I refurbish to support my gear addiction (GAS is real). But you are totally right, practice is always the most important piece of the equation.
Hi, I’m planning to buy my first electric guitar soon. between spark mini and katana go, which amp do you think is good for people who have never played guitar ?
For a first time player, I would say Spark Mini. You get an amp with a headphone jack and an intuitive interface via the app. This is a great topic for one of my first guitar related livestreams.
I have 2 sets that I use mostly for their near studio quality and audio response curves. For over the ear, I use a set of Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones. For in-ear, I use Shure SE535 in-ear monitors.
Thanks for the feedback. I will be doing some more gaming content. Maybe start livestreaming games once a week or something. I just don't have the viewer count to split into 2 channels right now.
I was incorrect. It was Pete from The Studio Rats. His download probably won’t be available until Tone Exchange is fully implemented. His video is here: ruclips.net/video/2NF9UJdr5lY/видео.htmlsi=P44UBXlWcxekum0h
You get a lot for your money but I have to be honest, for headphones, I prefer using the Boss Ir-2, it takes a 9v battery, I just think it sounds nicer :) but the katana is perfect for smaller, simpler set up, it’s a lot of fun
Thanks for watching and for your feedback. I haven’t tried the Boss IR-2. Will see if I can get my hands on one. I still think I would prefer something I can walk around and jam with when I need to practice discreetly (wife and grandkids sleeping).
@@Raskull I have found the IR-2 fairly discreet if you use a 9V battery, I am loving it’s USB-C connection for recording into a computer, I think you can do that with the Go? I need to try it out
The go sounds amazing , especially for a headphone amp , maybe you need to tweek the settings , although if you don't know what you're doing, it's easier to ruin a tone rather than improve it . Different cans need different eq .
@@88Nikoli totally agree with you. Tone downloads are only 100% if you use the same guitar, at the same volume, with the same speakers or headphones. Tweaking existing tones or creating your own from scratch is still a talent that needs to be learned over time to get the sound that YOU want.

Thanks again for the review.
Thank you for the feedback. I was hoping that someone would appreciate a review from a regular guy.
Thanks for your nice review. Did you try to record while using session backing tracks? (Specially with iphone with usb c).

Well done and a nice overview … The portability and power of the katana ecosystem makes this a shining star ….

@@Raskull great, thanks for the suggestion
@@ariff4456You’re welcome.
Great product
Yes it is. So glad I picked one up.
Which headphones would best fit a katana go?
I have 2 sets that I use mostly for their near studio quality and audio response curves. For over the ear, I use a set of Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones. For in-ear, I use Shure SE535 in-ear monitors.
I do like the guitar content, maybe a separate channel though. I already miss the basement arcade.

You mentioned Danish Pete's Boss Katana Session download, so how to download?
