Every single review I have seen does not cover the way you use the go to play along to backing tracks, which until I see someone show that and play along to a backing track from RUclips, I can’t make a sound decision on whether or not I would buy it? The whole reason I would want this device would be to sit with my headphones on after my wife goes to bed, and jam to some backing tracks. Why does everyone bypass something so basic? Have they made it a pain to do, or can you only buy the backing tracks from Boss or something? Please does anyone know how it streams the backing tracks from RUclips.
since i’ve boss pocket gt which is the predecessor of this i can answer to my best knowledge since i felt the session mode is kinda similar What you should consider is this 1) if the video is embeded restricted it won’t load 2) my workaround with this is download and reupload to my throwaway youtube account The other is using the pocket gt with just the youtube app. Too some it is kinda pointless when you can’t loop the darn section of the video and forced to be slaved to 10sec back. So i always just download and upload anyway. 3) the audio quality is restricted to whatever bluetooth it or your device have since it used those to stream music from your mobile device/tablet to the pocket gt. Saying that for practicing and playing along it is passable. I actually will get this to use for my outdoor practicing time tho since it’s more compact now.

The addition of slowing down the video speed is also new. But you can’t use the footswith if you play in session mode. If you used the marker you can automatically switch preset in the marker setting. This is also available back then. You know what dude? Just buy it, best practice tools i ever had You can even record yourself with an iphone (only usbc iphone ex: 15, 15pro) and mirrorless camera that supported usbc audio recording while in session mode.

First off great video and demo.Honestly after having this boss amplug for a week i like the fender mustang micro better.the boss is good but you need the app to do or tweak everything.the fender is simple with no app and sounds great.the stage feel option on the boss is just simply a surround sound.i mostly play hard rock,metal and blues and really just use three presets and the fender mustang micro handles that perfect (would be nice if fender added a tuner like boss did) if your into thirty presets and love tweaking settings then the boss is great .but for plug in and play typs then get the Vox amplug of your choice or the mustang micro for twice the price.the valton rushead max amplug for $39 is also an awesome sounding and simple one...peace \m/
I would like to see a comparison to the original NUX Mighty Plug which I own. In particular how the quality of effects and amps compare. Can't help think one omission is a drum machine or metronome which is on the NUX. Battery notification level on the little unit screen itself would be useful too.
The one thing I haven't seen anyone demo in their reviews is the expression pedal integration. Can it be used to control any built-in wah or other effects?
Thanks for the great demo Juca! Would you know if I can output this to a combo amp that has an AUX IN? I would like to play it through my NUX Mighty Space as I prefer the Boss presets to the NUX presets. NUX can play some great tones but I find it little tricky to dial in.
I already own a Katana MKII 50 and a GT-1 and yet there is no way i won't be ordering a Katana Go the second that i get the notification they are in stock , according to Reverb, Guitar Center and Sweetwater they are still pre order , in the USA at least, i know it will be worth the wait , probably order that carry pouch as well for safe keeping
There was a short window on the release day when they were in stock at Sweetwater, but if you missed that, you'll need to wait for a restock or 'preorder' it, despite it basically being a backorder.

Great, did you figure out how to adjust the sound level of audio streamed from mobile vs guitar sound in the headset. The guitar sound is to loud compared to the streamed audio but as the volume wheel on the katana adjust both levels at the same time. Is there a way. Thank you
I've tried it on my fender strat and my les Paul,sounds better with double humbuckers.totally sucks on my bc rich with active pickups.but they all sound great with my fender mustang micro.if that helps...peace
Bluetooth functionality is only to play music through the Katana GO to play along with. It does not transmit over bluetooth, only receives, as BT transmission introduces a lot of latency. If you have the option of running a cable to the speaker that will probably be fine, but the sound should be mostly dependent on how your speaker sounds.
Sounds great running through cable to speakers by itself but when you Bluetooth backing tracks through it while playing,the backing tracks somehow seem a bit muffled compared to the sound of your playing
You lost me and so did Boss it seems? With connect with my I-Phone or I-Pad? I don't own; nor will I ever own anything from "Apple".. So this video is moot to me. Oh well for you and me.

I ran it into my Line 6 Catalyst through the aux in and it was useable. I’m sure through an FRFR it would be excellent.
