  • When challenged with calm, sunny conditions, Elite series pro Chris Zaldain’s first choice is to pick up a Neko Rigged soft plastic. Neko rigging for pressured bass is one of the most natural ways to present a soft plastic. His “go to” Neko rig bait is the 4in bottle shrimp thanks to its subtle action and realistic profile. Be sure to give this alternative style of fishing a craw shaped plastic a try next time you are faced with similar conditions on the water.
    Discussed in the video:
    -Specifications of rigging
    -When and where to fish this technique
    -Why a subtle action is best
    -A sensitive spinning rod is ideal
    -How to “reel set” for optimal hook-up ratio
    Products:
    Bottle Shrimp 4in - megabass.fish/...
    Orochi XX F4-68XXS Ronin - megabass.fish/...

    The production and camera work on this video is ridiculously good. I lot of work went into making this video, and it shows. Kudos to the angler, as well as the team behind the camera.

    I love how 10 seconds after he says don’t raise the rod tip to set the hook, just reel into it and let the rod load, he set the hook with the rod lol

    Good information in this video, but I must comment on that beautiful dog. It looks like a young Belgian Malinois... Keep that dog active and lots of training. You will both benefit from it...

    Awesome video!!! I learned a lot thank you very much, and I bought some mega Bass bottle shrimp, same ones that you were using and the colors you suggested. The next thing I have to get is those hooks, are they the TK 137 hooks?

    • @MegabassAmerica
      @MegabassAmerica  Год назад

      Thank you for giving the bottle shrimp a try! We look forward to hearing your feedback. The hooks in the video are TK137's, but a variety of various finesse and neko hooks will work well in this application.
