This movie needs to be re-released again given the chaotic times of civil unrest & social injustice we're now living in in 2020. Very uplifting to see black, white, brown, yellow, red & all colors🖤🤍🤎💛❤ of people UNITING to "give peace a chance". Wish we could have more Billy Jacks in the world today!✌✊🙏❤

Donald Ramsey Same with me Donald. It broke my heart as a kid when I first saw this when it first came out. No matter how many times I watch this movie and hear the ending, it still breaks my heart what all they went through. God bless you Tom Laughlin. Rest in peace my friend.
I cried when I saw Billy Jack as a teenager and I'm crying now. It was def a powerful movie, and a really emotional one for me. It made an impression that has remained strong through the years. I'm so thankful to find these clips on RUclips!! Rest In Peace dear friend Tom Laughlin. I loved you then and I love you now.
SO POWERFUL. I had GOOD CRY again, watching this. Thank you everyone who was in this terrific film. And thank you, Tom and Dolores, for the films! Deep, moving, full of hope and love.
Me too. But then I grew up. Problems are not that simple. On a side note, one of the reasons that I support President Trump is that he avoided getting us into needless wars. Give Peace a chance and Make America Great Again.
@@johnratican3824 he was a lying fraud who tried to destroy an election . And was involved in numerous crimes and a disgrace who wouldn't even attend the transfer of power and the tomb of the unknown soldier to pass on the presidency and show the military and the country we are united.
I think it's hilarious how so many people seem to comment on videos from Billy Jack movies and say how important they were when they were growing up, yet in the next sentence they'll be utterly trashing the values and goals that they represented, spewing far right, trailer trash conservative garbage hatred of others. I loved these movies and still support the values and goals of enabling diversity, protecting the environment and a host of other moves to build a more equitable and progressive society.
Lennon wrote this in 1969. He performed it live in Toronto in a hotel room with invited guest. And no way is this a better version. Actually all this is is the refrain.
I saw this as a young soldier stationed at Ft. Bragg, now Ft. Liberty, at a movie theater on base. I had decided that night after viewing it and being deeply troubled by it to leave the army which would have resulted in a less than honarable discharge but by the next morning changed my mind and finished my four year commitment. I guess it does say something about this country that this movie could be viewed by young soldiers on base. I have come to realize over the years that the military isn't here to fight for freedom but usually goes to war under false pretenses to serve the interests of the rich and powerful who continue to enrich themselves from war
Uma das mais lindas e emocionantes cenas que assisti em minha juventude! A música universal de Lennon casou muito bem com o final do roteiro, e que faz excelente referência a um dos maiores absurdos atos já cometidos no território dos EUA, o massacre de Kent State...
People today think that what is happening now is something new its not American for all its laws and good intentions is flawed and a society witch hold the rich and famous at a lower moral standard than the working man this country will continue with social injustice. We as a society need to keep holding those people guilty of injustice accountable no matter who they are and how much money they have.
Sure, this movie and ending were emotionally manipulative, and the series clearly had leftist values, but if you can accept the events of the story in this one,it is one of the finer endings of a motion picture ever done.

it was just re released but this scene has been cut from the film
Yeah why have any songs about giving peace a chance when they would rather show racism, violence, gore.😢😢😢😢@@MrHerbie76

Love this part of the movie. Get me watery eyed every time.
I remember this movie. We need to watch the Billy Jack movies all over again.
That was a perfect ending to this movie. It broke my heart as a kid when I first saw this. I cried in 1973, and I'm crying right now, too.
Same here, this song is a great song. I was too young to know it was a war protest song, I just knew it was a great song to the end of a good movie...
