That first point is crucial. Exactly what I started with- but, I used the spinlock ones. A real budget set.
    Had those before a bench.
Started in middle school. When I bought my house, I found myself getting a lot more than I anticipated.
If I had a rack of dumbbells, I would have ran into the exact problem you mentioned .
Half racks, stands with spotters, even benches- all take about the same space as a budget friendly rack. I was surprised how many "lesser options" took up more space than my Fitness Reality 810XLT rack
I like watching these videos- because they help in being able to also pass valuable information to others; and have a valid opinion from someone other than myself.

That's a lot of feedback thank you! It's good for people here in the RUclips community to hear from people like you in the comments too. I appreciate all of that. Thanks for watching too! 🙏🏾

This is really informative and interesting! One of the biggest things that have helped me build muscle aside from spending time in the gym has been a custom meal plan from Next Level Diet. I use it every week and I love it!

Hmm? I'm not familiar with Next Level but I'll look it up. Thanks for bringing it up Lucas!

That squat assist is so underrated, I’m glad you mentioned it

Honestly that little piece of equipment is so unassuming that no one who has never used it will ever be able to understand how good it is.

Nice work on the five suggestion. For cardio you could suggest a jump rope as those will work too. They are cheap, effective and transportable.

Absolutely! Another one of my favorite exercises. I have a review coming talking about some of the smaller accessories! Thanks for the suggestion.

Great video. I wholeheartedly agree with your recommendations.
I started building out my home gym two years ago with the arrival of the pandemic. I used commercial gyms prior to that.
#1 is definitely adjustable dumbbells. I’ve owned my set of powerblocks for close to 15 years and use them for pretty much every workout. The cost and space savings cannot be beat.
If you are going to invest in any kind of rack, I recommend a power cage if you have the room. The versatility and safety are unmatched. I personally have the 810XLT. The footprint is surprisingly small.
One thing I would add is if you have the room and the budget, I definitely recommend the pulley cable system for the cage. Initially, I bought just the cage and added on the cable system a year and a half later. It was an absolute game changer. I should have done it from day one or prioritized adding it sooner.
If possible, invest once in the right piece of equipment, especially for the larger cost items like a cage or plates. You don’t want to regret your purchase day after day because you tried to save a couple dollars.
Your physically fitness is worth the investment!

Thanks for the detailed comment man. I had to take my time replying to this one because I didn't want to miss anything. First 15 years with the PowerBlocks? I love hearing that. I've had the Bowflex for 9 but I've only had the PowerBlocks for a few months but I love em and I'm looking forward to expanding them.
You all already know I love the 810xlt Super Max Power Cage! I should have mentioned the lat pulldown attachment in the video because I feel like that's the attachment that takes the home gym to the next level.
This next line could be a mission statement because it's as real as it gets! "If possible, invest once in the right piece of equipment, especially for the larger cost items like a cage or plates. You don’t want to regret your purchase day after day because you tried to save a couple dollars.
Your physically fitness is worth the investment!"
Thanks for watching and this uber detailed comment I think it's going to be helpful here.
