Used this and Part 2 to change the transmission in my 2006 Ford Escape XLT. Only minor differences. Excellent video and editing. The tips saved me countless hours knowing what to remove to get access to the transmission. Also, removing the lower arm at the ball joint was WAY easier than other videos I watched. Only took a few minutes to remove the Axles. People like you are what make RUclips an invaluable resource. Thank you, sir!
I see this is a few years old, but wow so valuable for getting through the driver’s side engine bay! Great production. Explanations clear and concise, and your direction and indicators of WHICH nuts/bolts are very clear. Thanks a million!
Thank you! I was replacing a water pump and came across a broken tube. Wasn't sure what it was even attached to but it said 4x2 so I assumed it was the transmission. Found this video trying to see if was the transmission so I'd have a point of reference to start from, and you actually identified the exact tube by name.
Great video! You covered everything and did a gave great detail on the removal process! I had your video plying while removing the transmission from my 06 Ford Escape. Thank you for the videos!
Thank you very much sir….. got stuck putting one back together after someone else took it apart and your videos are the only helpful ones I’ve found 🙃😶🌫️🤘 you awesome sir thank you again
I haven't started to remove the transmission in mine, yet. But since I was planning on replacing valve cover gaskets at some point, I'm going to do this at the same time I plan on removing the transmission. In doing this I'm thinking that this should give me enough clearance to reach the upper exhaust manifold bolts from the top side. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated. By the way..GREAT VIDEO!!
Does anyone know if the bolt pattern for the transmission on a 08 Mazda Tribute 4 cylinder front wheel drive will be the same for a fire escape transmission? I have to do a swap and don’t know if it will work
I replaced the transmission in my 02 Mazda Tribute and got everything hooked back up, the battery and starter both still fine but I get absolutely no power when trying to turn the key, what could be the issue?

Great video. Not only do you show how to remove a transmission, you have to remove so much stuff to get at it, it's informative on those parts too.
This channel is an inspiration for all mechanics. Love this channel!
Its good to have someone to show you and easy to follow with all the detail.
Love the way that you organize your bolts & parts!
Agree with the others here, mad props to you, man. You are by far, in my top 5 of RUclips tutorialists.

Do you have a video for 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring? 4.0 Liter with the 62TE transmission? I would love to see it.

Are the 4x2 and 4x4 CD4E interchangeable? I can’t find any 4x2 for sale and they look identical when you disconnect the transfer case.

Thank you omg.
I got a question, if I just wanted to remove the starter and just the starter not anything else, is there an easy way to do so?
I replaced the transmission in my 02 Mazda Tribute and got everything hooked back up, the battery and starter both still fine but I get absolutely no power when trying to turn the key, what could be the issue?
Great vid and instuction. Q: is procedure similar for 2006 escape in line 4 cyliner? A bit easier, maybe?
To be honest I don't remember having to do this job on a 4cylinder, but yes typically smaller engines are easier to work around

Is this transmission same as the 2.3l escape
Cómo se llama esa transmisión?
Part 2?
Nice work #MayoCarsDR
Did you remove the alternator to get the bellhousing hidden bolts? Im doing one now
Yes, it's in the second video
Chain under throttle body with a plastic intake manifold....not too sure about that
I'm chained up to mine right now and hoping to God it doesn't crack
13 minutes in I realized this is an 2001-2004 model, the mounts are different on 06 and others
Hola una pregunta la caja automática de una Mazda tribute se podrá poner en una Ford Escape año 2005 servirá para una Ford Escape
Yes, the transmission I installed in this Mazda, came out of a Ford Escape.
How long does this take?
Just removal 4-5 hours roughly
How long does it normally take to change out a transmission?
Depends on the car, a day or two usually (5-15 labor hrs)
@@MakeItEasyMechanic I'm currently getting one replaced in my Ford Escape L. -They are asking $5080 for the part and labor(Midis)
@@MakeItEasyMechanic I spent 3k on the car and didnt get it looked at before I bought it I'm pissed 😭
Ouch 😬
@@MakeItEasyMechanic I'm pretty sure I'm over paying but I'm taking it with a grain of salt great video and thanks for the reply
Is this 2wd or 4wd?
4
Convinced me not to do the job, thx
Wow, there's only two bolts left on the whole car, everything else was removed
No need to remove thermostat housing or coolant hoses. It sucks but if you dig, you'll get to those bolts.
