My question is, is how did flight simulator video games effect the development of this. I can remember countless video games which assigned enemy and friendly targets a ping which would track its movements on the screen much like Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta assets seen on this display.
Nope it was not. She was not looking at that way and I watched that when she was not moving it was also showing 2 different moves from the same perspection.
I have a feeling the combat flight sims in the future, like a future DCS, are going to be incredibly boring affairs. Very few instruments, buttons or dials and VR will essentially be a prerequisite to get this sort of augmented reality feel these helmets provide.
I wonder, is or will the Striker II be coupled to the Pirate IRST of Typhoon to provide night time imagery and/or targetting for the pilot? That would enhance night vision considerably, would it not?
Just seems there's more to go wrong. Lovely having all this tech, but what happens if it breaks whilst I'm combat and the pilot is used to relying on it. Why change something that works brilliantly already?
then he can switch back to his existing instruments. i use my phone to send emails because it's more convienient, however if my phone breaks i can switch to my computer which works too. i can still use both, i just find my phone easier.
@@liamholcroft7212 It'll be like driving an automatic for months although you can drive a manual transmission, then going back to a manual. Yes you can drive it, but you're so used to the car doing all the work it's self that you won't be used to it. Now take into account not feeling comfortable in an aeroplane when in a possible dog fight.... it may result in death and that danger isn't worth it.
This was 3 years ago. Just think of what they have now. They also don’t tell us their technology until a couple years of it being tested a used. So basically the stuff they are using now won’t be out till like 2023 probably. So that helmet right there is like 6 years older than what they are working on or using now. Crazy. Soon robots will just take over the fighter jets it will be just drones and human robots for ground shortly after. I mean look at Boston dynamics with the robots opening doors and walking up stairs. Very capable of doing that soon!!

BAE needs to make a VR fighter Helmet for consoles and PC flight simulator's.

Certainly a big improvement on the head up display.
Pretty cool. Let's just hope the guys on our side are equipped with it

that's always true, however having the information in a hud puts the pilot at a great advantage. worth the risk in my opinion.
