I made this a few days ago to go on some mini cheesecakes and it was amazing, everyone loved it! I didnt have fresh cherries so i used a 16oz bag of frozen sweet cherries and it still turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!
Okay, so I made this last night, while cooking dinner,(that's how easy it is) I served it over poundcake with whipped cream. It was sooo good, the fresh cherries had that sweet and and tangy taste you could never get from a can of pie filling. My husband and daughter loved it. Thank you.
I use my slow cooker to make fresh sauces, compotes, jams and make use of unsweetened applesauce, chia seeds and low sugar pectin powder for thickening, which are more stable than starch thickeners. Chilled water ensures the starch dissolves completely.
Lovely presentation, motivate each other i really great in RUclips journey, keep share awesome content, how knows, when luck ill be start, best wishes for your beautiful channel, lk521
I am regularly following your channel and you provide simple and amazing recipes..... Cherry 🍒is my favorite fruit.... you made my day on Father's day.... thanks a lot 😍😍
As you know this compote has no preservatives at all. It will stay fresh for up to a week in refrigerator. After that it will develop a change of taste
Sometimes the cherries are too tart to be relished without sugar. If the cherries you are using are sweet enough then yes you can skip the sugar otherwise you can add some honey after the compote is completely cooked but still warm. You can also add maple syrup if you like it’s taste. Hope it helps 😊
There can be a couple of reasons 1. Did you add too much of liquid? 2. Was the mixture cooked enough? The compote thickens more after cooling down completely. The hot compote might appear to be more of a liquid texture but will thicken eventually when it cools down
This looks great, it's gonna be the sauce to my PORK TENDERLOINS the 7 th august 2022 with 8 family members... oh yeah the tenderloins will be coated with a cocoa, chilli based rub just to spice them up -a- bit ... THE CHERRY BASED SAUCE/COMPOT being the STAR OF THE MOUTHFUL of PORK surprise ?

So nice of you
How long we can store this?
Could it be a good idea to add a little bit of amaretto? Or maybe not.
A very small quantity will definitely enhance the flavour
Looks delicious and tasty 👌👌
I just made the cherry compote. How long will it keep in fridge. I am planning to make black forest cake in 2 weeks' time.
As you know this compote has no preservatives at all. It will stay fresh for up to a week in refrigerator. After that it will develop a change of taste
Is compote se kya kya bna sakte h
You can use it as filling in cakes or muffins. You can also serve a tablespoon of this compote on top of ice cream

@@cooknbakewithNeha yesterday I used your recipe and it is amazing. I will try this recipe also with other fruits. Thanks
Looks wonderful 😍 How long can I store this in the freezer?

@@cooknbakewithNeha thank you
@@cooknbakewithNeha Please let me know is it necessary to freeze or refrigerate? Thank you for sharing your valued cooking ideas.
Best idea is to refrigerate and consume within 7 days then make a fresh batch
@@cooknbakewithNeha Thank you very much!
Is the lemon for acid?
Yes
Is it 500g before, or after pits are removed?
Before the pits are removed
Can I make this without adding the sugar?

Hello Ma'am. What is the shelf life of this compote if refrigerated?
Best is to keep it refrigerated and consume within a week..
Does it have to be corn flour, or is corn just recommended?
Corn flour or corn starch anything is fine. It just has to be a neutral flavour thickening agent
How long we can store this
1 week in refrigerator
Masahallah
Can I add some liqueur to the recipe?
Yes you can add
Self life of this compote
1 week in refrigerator
I made it with frozen cherries! I followed your instructions but at last , it turned sticky without sauce at all, what I can do??
Looks like you have overcooked the sauce
How to pit the cherries without cherry putter?
So you can take a barbecue stick and push it from the stem side of cherry. The seed will come out from the other side
it didn't thicken instantly when I added the corn starch where did I go wrong :(
There can be a couple of reasons
1. Did you add too much of liquid?
2. Was the mixture cooked enough?
The compote thickens more after cooling down completely. The hot compote might appear to be more of a liquid texture but will thicken eventually when it cools down

Amazing!!!
I always add a small splash of almond extract to cherries.
That is a great idea
I think you used corn starch instead of corn flour. Am I right?
Yes dear.. you are right☺️
She really measured in grams AND cups LOL
Wow love the video 🤩 fabulous work 👍 keep it up! #thegloriousfoodchannel
