WATCH THE BEHIND THE SCENES HERE - • Wild Scotland - Behind...
For my second aerial film, entitled ‘Wild Scotland’, I wanted to showcase some of the wilderness this magnificent country has to offer. From the Highlands and Islands on the west coast to John O’Groats and North Berwick on the east I’ve captured just a fraction of the stunning wilderness which Scotland has to offer.
I’ve spent the last few months travelling up and down the country capturing locations, carefully planning my schedule to take advantage of the best light, be that dawn or dusk. Along the way I’ve been lucky to pick up some unexpected shots such as deer near Ardnamurchan and a large group of seals in a bay near John O’ Groats at the very top of the British mainland. I was lucky to experience a prolonged spell of good weather so filming this was a much faster process than for my first aerial film; Beautiful Scotland - • Scotland Drone Company...
Making this film involved a series of mini adventures. Hiking up Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill at 3am in the pitch dark, to film the spectacular serrated ridge of An Teallach, and hearing stags roaring in the valleys below is a memory that will stay with me for a very long time. Also filming Bass Rock near North Berwick, which is home is to the world’s largest single rock Gannet colony with some 40,000 pairs of birds, at first light was a real treat.
The film was mostly shot on the DJI Inspire 1 and for the more remote locations I used the DJI Phantom 3 which can be packed in a backpack really easily.
Big shout out to Drew Gibson ( / drew_the_editor ) who has done another magnificent job colour grading this and also to Pete Smith (www.thesoundspa...) who created the sound mix. Cheers also to Rob Waugh ( / curiousrobinfilms ) for feeding back throughout the edit and helping suggest locations.

I moved away from Scotland to pursue my career but I watch this video every so often to remind myself how lucky I am to come from such a beautiful part of the world.

Beautiful... Scotland is my happy place... I lie in bed at night and remember my visits there and I dream of returning again one day. I could watch two hours of this! Also, I loved the curious deer at the end that watched the drone instead of running, how sweet!
Sitting around my firepit on a chilly August Winters night in West Australia ...just me ..a glass of wine...the crackle of the fire.. and this overwhelming sense to watch this very piece of majesty ...my familial links to Scotland go back multiple generations and hundreds of yrs i feel its emotional pull increasingly so ...sadly ill never get the chance to visit ...but in my heart and soul i have many times already ....
as someone who is constantly homesick for scotland, your videos are truly a blessing

I like the fact that you have also concentrated on excellent stereo sound as well as quality aerial footage. Not many videographers gets this right. Top quality and a real credit to Scotland.
As I get older, I come to consider not how or when I'll meet my maker, but how much beauty my maker has made... I think about how full my heart gets with the desire to be in these places, not just to see them but to breath them... to feel them on my skin...
Anna, what a beautiful way of expressing yourself. 'Feel them on your skin' , this place on earth gets under my skin, such a deep feeling for Scotland!

Don't forget the other side of the world your maker made. The wars, the division, the famine, the slums, the children dying, the sexual abuse of children, the ignorance and the total disrespect for nature and fellow man.
This made me homesick and I live in Scotland! Superb work.

You brought tears to my eyes, yet again, with your beautiful videos and memories of times long ago when I was a young man and lived and sailed in Scotland. Muck, Eigg and Rhum from Ardnamurchan Light, I once sailed through there on a misty morning passage from Isle Ornsay to Tobermoray with the light house foghorn booming echoes off the cliffs of Muck and Eigg. Thank you, your video is so beautiful.

i love this music that tony anderson brings out of scotland videos how beautiful our country really is away from trafic and over populated areas to see the goodness of scotland watching this makes me jealous to sit here and listen and watch this wonderful video of scotland some places that i have been and some that i havent wishing times like this where we can just get up and off to go where we please and spend some time in the rough terrain of scotland hiking up wionderful mountains and chilling at the beach in places no ones ever been to
