Hey Andrew!! I’m currently having a coffee in my caravan in Onich, which is about 8 miles away from Nevis! I’m here for 10 days and looking forward to some dramatic light, good photography opportunities and the odd hill walk or two!!! Hope you guys have a blast when you get here! By the way, it’s currently snowing!😳🏴🏴🤗
@@davidmuirphotography Thanks man we got our crampons if we need them, didn't know about glencoe until your video, we are hoping to climb some mountains there just hope that the weather is not too bad anyway hope you have a great time and get some really good shots on your camera
The story of Glencoe, goes back at least from the Stuart monarchs , starting with James the 6th King of Scots and his obsession with Episcopal Church worship, which he tried to impose it on the Scots people. This led to him and his successors trying to exterminate Presbyterian worship by violence. If you would like to read Scottish history from this point it will lead you to the story of why the massacre happened.
Thank you Robert!!! Im going to do just that. The history of Glencoe is a tragic yet uplifting thing. The more I read, the more I want to know. I have lived in Scotland for 50 years and have never really truly shown an interest in my homelands history. Perhaps with age comes curiosity and patriotism!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!😊😊🏴🏴😊😊
