@@davidmuirphotography My first visit, as a child, is permanently seared into my brain. I had no clue as to what awaited the senses as the car slowly meandered through the cutting. A split second passed BOOM, the majesty of the glen punches you in face. It's an incredible experience as you know, so much to take in, so many different emotions particularly given the history. Seeing your upload this morning has given me the inspiration to decide to take that drive again in the following week, so thank you :)

It was my first time there and didn’t have much time to investigate the surroundings. The drive around the peninsula was stunning. Went via Glenfinnan on the way there and took the Corran ferry on the way back as I was staying in Bunree!🤗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hey!! Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to message! I know exactly what you mean about full and overcast days. They can be very uninspiring especially if there is no texture to the clouds. On days like that I might challenge myself to get out of comfort zone and look for more abstract images by zooming in on little areas of interest. I might also consider a black and white shoot and looks for areas of good contrast. Finally, on some days I just use the experience as a reconnaissance mission and image what it would be like with great light and plan to come back!!!🤗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s funny you say that Lorraine. Whenever I am near a castle, especially if it is in a remote location, I swear I can hear the clashing of swords faintly on the wind!😳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks Glenn! Great point about the old photos!! It blows my mind that when processing the old film stock, to dodge and burn their images they had to cover them or expose parts long to light. You should see the developing notes of Ansel Adams!😳 I will try and get round to a video on exposure blending soon but it is really very simple with technology now. What software do you use to edit your photos?

Skye has plenty as does the Isle of Mull and there are some in Glencoe village. To be honest, you will see them in a pod of fields as you journey throughout.
