Love this video of the castles, they stand so majesty against the stunning sky. I'm always intrigued by the history behind them and what it must have been like to lived in them all those years ago. thanks
It’s funny you say that Lorraine. Whenever I am near a castle, especially if it is in a remote location, I swear I can hear the clashing of swords faintly on the wind!😳🏴
Stunning capture of the birds in flight! love that one but the portrait of Castle Stalker wither the Stone in the water is simply incredible. Settins were clearly spot on! See you in your next video :)
Really nice work on this video. Captured some awesome sites. What dates are good to visit with the wildflowers blooming along the shoreline of Eilean Donan Castle? Also, what date were you at Castle Stalker with the sun sitting to the left of it? That is one awesome scene.
Hey Gus! Those photos were taken 3 weeks ago at the end of July. I’m not an expert in flora and fauna but there was lots in bloom when we were there! Now is probably a good time for the sun to be in a decent position when setting! When are you visiting?🤗🏴
@@davidmuirphotography Hello David. I'm consider around late April or early May for 2 weeks next year. I take it the midges were not bad at the end of July as you did complain 1 time about those pesky buggers. Given the dates you were there, I think the end of July into early August might work for my trip there next year.
The midges haven’t really been a problem at all this year while I’ve been out but that is because it’s always been windy! Anything over 7 or 8 mph and they can’t handle it and stay away! August time is a good time to see the heather come out which blooms late August early Sept. Last big show before the awesome Autumn hits!🤗🏴
Love the video Great advice about ISO. It’s so drummed in you have to keep ISO low Sometimes forget to use it at levels you suggested. I find in some situations, the grain can add texture to an image to give it a certain look I actually quite often use 600 to 800 in bright daylight. Can’t see any grain with my camera Love the drone footage as well. Might have to invest in one at some point
Thank you so much!! It good to be back! I also like a bit a grain in my images, especially I raise the black point to get that faded look! The drone is great but it’s another thing to learn, pack and have batteries charged for!!🤣🤣🤣
@@davidmuirphotography oh that’s interesting. Not thought about doing that with the black. Might have a go with that. Very true about the drone. More weight to carry as well. But get the footage right like you have, and it’s worth the extra in your backpack
I couldn’t agree more and it came to be VERY useful last night when the sky went on fire at Turnberry Lighthouse!! Working on the new video as we speak!!!🤗🏴
